Loved Scooby-Doo! Mystery Putt This is a fun trip down memory lane for anyone who loves Scooby-Doo, especially those of us who grew up with Scooby. The time we went the Coolsville Cemetery was the only side open. We were told the Coolsville Mine side should be open in April. Thank you to the great staff member for that update. It was $19.99 per adult. They offer senior and military discounts. It was busy, but we had no issues with having to wait a bit for the group of 5 ahead of us. The group behind us was a bit slow and we had time to play a hole again. The holes are par 2s & 3s. Don't be fooled by one that looks easy, those are the ones that will make you go over par! The props at each hole and Scooby gang commentary was great. No photos of the actual holes. You have to go play the course yourself!! Bring out your inner Scooby-Doo loving child.

The bright colors, the giant golf ball, the candy statues ... it's all very big and bright and sweet. It's candy-candy-candy indoors and out, as the putt-putt courses are candy-themed. There's also a candy store inside, and soft serve, and lots of sweets. It's a candy-lover's dream in here. It's like being in Candy Land, with golf clubs. So, there are two 18-hole golf courses here: one indoor, one outdoor. You can play one or the other, or both for slightly more. I personally liked the outdoor course the best because I like fresh air, but the indoor one is fun too, with dim lighting and fun music playing. As we were leaving, I noticed that there's also a miniature bowling alley here, as well as an escape room. Lots of fun to be had.

The unique theme for the courses definitely made it a whole lot better than the Ripley's Super Fun Zone. The two courses are discounted together and it simply was too hot outside after we went out there for a few minutes and there were a crowd of people waiting. I went in and ask them if we can get a refund for the outdoor course. The staff gave us tokens to use for the bowling alley that was inside instead. The bowling alley was alright. We had to switch to another lane since the pins were not coming all down or it was malfunctioning at times. There was a staff member that checked on it and he decided to temporarily close one of the lanes down when it kept having issues.

We parked across the street in their free parking area, which had plenty of available spots at that hour. The walk over was less than a mile and very manageable. Although the weather wasn't ideal--light rain and chilly temperatures--it didn't take away from the experience. We started by walking around and taking everything in. There are so many cute shops, unique stores, and plenty of great photo opportunities throughout the area. We did a little shopping, sampled some food, and purchased tickets to ride the Great Smoky Mountain Wheel, which was a highlight. Before heading out, we made one last stop at Ole Smoky Moonshine, which is always a fun experience. Even though the weather didn't fully cooperate, we still had a great time and really enjoyed our visit. The Island has a fun, lively atmosphere and offers something for everyone--we'd definitely go back!

With that being said, we found it a bit of a tourist trap and pricey, but that was to be expected for the area and kind of place this is. There are tons of alcohol tasting places and food places through out here. We did do a stop and tasting at Ole Smoky Tennessee Moonshine, which was unique enough since I am from the west coast visiting, and fun. I still think if you want more authentic tastings and food, to go to downtown Gatlinburg instead (it's all similar enough though). We also did a wine tasting here and all the wines were so sweet for my palette. I did enjoy the shops and pursuing around this beautiful area. A great spot to get some steps in. Many places also offer free samples of food to (like the candy store) so don't be afraid to go in and try.
