Decent ride, but not quite the thrill I expected I chose the Lost Mine Mountain Coaster after checking out their website, which advertised the longest ride in the area and showed what looked like an immersive experience through dark structures. Turns out, those photos must've been taken at night--during the day, it's a much more straightforward ride. I went midday during the week after fall break, so the line was short and I got on quickly. The sleds are state-of-the-art with solid safety features, and the staff were friendly. The ride pulls you uphill, then lets you coast down at your own pace through a few twists and turns. At one point, I nearly came to a stop--probably to maintain spacing between sleds, though I didn't see anyone ahead of me. There are signs along the track warning that it ends in 100 feet, clearly meant to add a thrill, but they felt more gimmicky than exciting. The views were okay, but not particularly memorable compared to other mountain coasters I've ridden across the U.S. The website says the ride lasts over 9 minutes, but it didn't feel that long. Each sled has a camera so you can purchase a video of your ride afterward, which is a nice touch. Overall, it's a decent experience--especially if you've never been on a mountain coaster before--but seasoned riders might find it a bit tame. read more

Tell me how I am going to get stuck on the ride and not get a full refund. There is five for us and I only paid for me and my friend. My friend asked if he needed the ticket after he scanned to get on the ride and ur co worker told us no we don't. It's not my fault that ur co workers told us that u didn't need the ticket like that would be cool In case the ride got stuck. Also when I was getting a refund i can't believe I got was all rude when getting me the refund. It's not my fault the guy left you. It's not my fault the track is broken. The guy that drove us back up front and did the first couple of refunds was nice and chill the other older man that is a mechanic and i guess a manager because he knows how to do a refund but in a rude way. I only got a half of a refund back. I am not coming back and for my first time doing a mountain coaster. read more

This was a new coaster on our list this year after hearing great things about it! We got there at a good time so had no wait but there was a short line when we were leaving. This coaster has multiple shorter lifts as opposed to the one long lift of most others. It's a super smooth ride, and you can come back same day as long as you have your tickets or receipt and ride again for only $9.99! They also pop a card into the back of the seat that records your whole ride. You get to see a preview at the end and purchase pics/videos if you want. While visiting Pigeon Forge my friend and I found this place. We had a blast playing mini golf and loved the toilet hole. We were cracking up and kept throwing the ball down the toilet to listen to it flush. I was bummed that the coaster was not running when we were there. We actually really enjoyed this place. We did the combo of the coaster and 18 hole mini golf. The golfing was very clean and well maintained for how busy this place is. The coaster was fun too. We were able to each ride with a child. The only reason I give it a star short of 5 is because they stated that the coaster would last 10 minutes at full speed. My husband and I both controlled our carts at full speed and the ride lasted about 5-6 minutes at most. The price is good for what you get. Plus if you ride the coaster at night they have colorful lights all over the path. The night ride does cost $10 more a person though. read more

As far I'm concerned this is the best mountain coaster in the area. It's the latest addition and has incredible theming from the que line all the way through the coaster. Multiple lifts and drops. All surrounded by incredible theming and a fast smooth ride. Also a beautiful view from the top looking down on the Island, cool to look down at the giant wheel. Staff is super friendly and another cool thing is the sleds all have a go-pro so you can purchase a video of your ride which is a little different than the usual photo ops. Highly recommend this one for a night ride for maximum effect and enjoyment. read more

This is a very good ride. It is a long ride compared to the others in the area, and the slides themselves are sturdy and comfortable. There are multiple ascents on this ride, so you really do get to cover a lot of ground. There is a really good panoramic view of Pigeon Forge at the top. There are also multiple corkscrew turns, and those are a blast. Why four stars and not five? About the only negative of the experience is that the entry line simulates going through mine tunnels; if you have claustrophobia, and it's crowded, this might not be a fun wait for you. read more

First trip to the Smokies and took the family to a bunch of mountain coasters, and hands down, Lost Mine wins the best coaster of the trip! There's actual theming with props and scenes! Lights were fantastic! Coaster was as smooth as can be! Duration is definitely longer than your average mountain coaster! Walk-on, no lines! Beyond kind and friendly staff! This is a hidden gem in the smokies because it's not on the main strip of either Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. You need to go out of your way to make it a point to come try this! They have a nice mini golf course as well. If you guys try this, please help add more yelp reviews. This was an awesome mountain coaster. If you go, they have no place for you to leave your bag, so it was inconvenient to have to go back to the car to put it up and then back to the car to get it back for mini golf. There are a lot of cute scenes and nice views. I wanted to ride again and again. The mini golf was pretty difficult and compared to our other putt courses, we had about 20 more strokes each. But it was fun and that's what counts. The scenes are neat and you even putt into a stream for one of the holes. read more

We cannot possibly recommend this place highly enough. The mini golf course is great with a whimsical bear and possum theme throughout; our six year old could not stop laughing at the statues and their antics throughout the course. Hole number 9 was by far our favorite; {spoiler alert} never have I ever hit a golf ball into the water on purpose, but what a fantastic gimmick! They also have a putting green at the beginning which is perfect for group photos, actual putting practice or killing time if there are groups in front of you. In addition their mountain coaster is INCREDIBLE! We loved it so much we rode it during the day and then came back and rode it at night as well; (there is a great bundle pricing deal if you do this so we highly recommend.). The ride is long, there is both beautiful natural scenery and clever attractions to enjoy as you whiz by, and this coaster features new technology that allows the ride to be not only safer but more enjoyable. We also loved that we got to see photos of ourselves riding and definitely purchased the photo/video package. Beyond the fun attractions though, the staff goes above and beyond to be incredibly helpful, knowledgeable and hospitable! We had been looking forward to our Pigeon Forge vacation for so long. Our baby was turning 3, which meant he was finally old enough to ride a mountain coaster. He measured 39 inches at home and at the doctor's office. We get to Lost Mine Mountain Coaster and the ticket sales measured him. He is about half an inch over requirement so we buy our combo tickets and have one excited birthday boy (plus his five year old brother). We walk through the line, sign the waivers and they ask to measure him again. At this height station he is hitting right at the line. They tell us he is too short and due to restraint issues he cannot ride. We got our refund and left with two boys crying. I completely understand safety rules however the measuring station is inconsistent with what we were seeing at home and at ticket station. We left and went back to our favorite coaster where he rode with no problem! read more

This place is great, me and my friends stopped in here looking for an alpine coaster, man we were not disappointed. Not only do you get great views of the surrounding area, there is also a hilarious story about a bear. The coaster is fast and safe for all, man we had to go twice! It is a big ride and full of whimsical bear things to see along the way! It was a welcomed pace with an expansive track that weaved around the hillside. I took my 3 year old and was able to go at a steady pace she was comfortable with, then turned around and took my 6 year old for a much swifter ride! It really is exactly how you want it to be. The bear theme is very fun and the kids loved it at night all lit up. There is also a fire pit and rockers to the side for the ones who aren't riding so they can watch you come down the last part. The mini golf is also themed and has something unique about every hole. We played as a family of 6 with the youngest 2 years of age and all had a blast. read more
