Honestly, since I am a Disney person I wasn't expecting Dollywood to be on par but boy was I wrong. Dollywood was absolutely fantastic. Entry into the park was fast and easy. We had the early entry since we were staying at the hotel and we were able to walk around and check out the park while waiting to be allowed onto the rides. We were able to hit a handful of rides before it stated getting busy. The roller-coasters were great, the other rides cute, and the Dolly experience was pretty cool. The train is cute but the route is a little dull. Great shops and theming around the parks. Food wasn't great but the delicious cinnamon bread made up for the other items.

Stayed in the park 9 hours, before opening til 1 hour before closing. Instead of 2 or 3 days we were here only one day. Doc was so smart and generous to book us a tour guide plus the tasting passes and an electric scooter for me. It was a time saver to have a guide for about 2 hours: reserved seats for 2 shows, a beverage she delivered to us, she even took photos of us and did a bakery errand to get two boxes of their famous cinnamon bread with two toppings. More like Monkey bread. We only rode the 3 pm train and the Blaze of Fury ride in Craftsman Village. It was fine cuz roller coasters will white knuckle it for us and hubs will get motion sick. Workers and other guests were so nice, friendly or helpful. Nothing like the reviews I had read. We were definitely the minority from Hawaii and California but we had a good time. I had compliments on my hair every day since we started our road trip so it always brightens each day. Our tasting passes gave us 5 choices from a slew of items so we were fed and kept hydrated. Doc got hubs the unlimited refills cup with graphic of new ride to come in June 2027 not 2026. Dolly's songs are playing all day long. We learned a lot about her humble beginnings one of 12 children. She wrote her first song at 5 and sang in Nashville at 13 years of age. Dollywood far surpassed my expectations. It is HUGE!!! Makes Disneyland look like a playground. Only thing I wish they had was a parade but guess that would be kind of hard without characters- she had platinum songs and book titles to increase literacy in children.

Overall a good experience. We got there at about 830, stood in line to get our passes. We bought 1 gold pass and it had a bring a friend (1) free, and 2 discounted. I got into the park for free, and today for the return it'd $45 which beats the military discount of $60. While standing In line the national played, everyone stopped and showed etiquette to the flag. Once inside, we had our pictures taken, a few times, there is a lot of photo ops, some that you can buy later. We walked the whole park, sadly I am restricted medically now of rides that I can go on. We rode the train, and saw rides I may try. At 9, when the park opens, it's not so crowded in the off season. Come around noon there is lines for everything. While walking around we explored some of the shows, dollys tour bus, went to the country fair, played a few games. The games you need to buy vouchers for, 7 for $40, some games require 1 or 2 vouchers, a little steep in my opinion. We went shopping which there is quite a few stores for that. They offer clothing, art, jewelry, and much more. Prices are a little high but it's a theme park. We did buy the seasonal cup for $25 I believe, filled up probably 5 times. Each refill without the cup is approximately $5+tax, so we saved money there. We rode the old train, we rode about 4 cars back out of the 7-8 cars. It's a fun, slow paced ride through the mountains, over looking the park in spots. If you have sensitive hearing, or have little ones, some ear protectors might not be a bad idea. They do blow the whistle quite a bit, and it's loud. We stopped at the exit, bought our pictures, 2 big ones, 1 small for $35. If you have a pass (gold/silver) you get a discount 10% silver (I believe) and 15% gold. With the gold pass discount we saved probably about $100 in discounts in 1 day. Rides, there is rides for all ages, at the country fair there is some children rides, for adults and teens there's roller coasters going 70+ MPH along with a few others that are a little slower. Each ride there is a sign that tells you what to expect, speeds etc. Parking, I wish there was better signage. There's lots A-F, and preferred parking. Preferred parking with gold pass I believe is $50, it's a small downhill walk, to a special gate. Normal prices I believe is $55. Silver pass and regular tickets have to pay for parking which currently stands at $25 per day, gold general parking is free. Lot A is all handicapped, we parked in C, at the time we went (820ish) there was some cars there and some going in, seems most parked In C. If you miss the lots, you have to make a loop to get back to the lots, can be a few minutes, and a pain, we had to along with others. Food, we had the hand dipped corn dog, potatoes curls, and foot long hotdog and chili curls. Total prices were about $25, and typical of theme park grab and go food. For the taste a little high in price. On the way out we got cinnamon bread, and a chocolate chip cookie, the bread is DELICIOUS and 100% recommend. If you like cinnamon rolls, this bread will not disappoint. Overall, prices are a little steep (typical theme park) Good shows, lots to do, employees are friendly. Overall recommendations: gold pass (free parking), seasonal cup, especially if going for more then 1 day, or will return during the season. Pass is approx 245+ tax, but you'll save $25 a day parking + discounts + free refills, all saving money. -get there early, enjoy the day, it's about a 6-6.5 mile walk for the park, lots to do, ride and see. -cinnamon bread

Me and my friends were really excited to visit Dollywood, and coming from Orlando it was nice to see all the differences in comparison to the parks we have. But we had an amazing day, not sure if we lucked out but on the day we went which was a Wednesday in April, it seemed to be a day where it wasn't very packed, there was 0 wait times for every ride in the park!! That alone was crazy for us, mind you at Disney or universal that will never happen. Food was really good and very good pricing compared to our parks, please try their famous cinnamon bread! All the workers were really nice and charming, Rollercoasters were fun too, overall it was a solid wholesome day. Must visit when you come to the pigeon forge/sevierville area

Yelp 100 Challenge 2025 #69 Dollywood is a fun amusement park with rides for kids and adults. Through November to January 1st there is a Holiday Tasting pass with different drinks, dessert, and foods to try. Country Fair is popular with the littles with different attractions there for them to ride and enjoy.

Go to Disneyland. If you cant afford it, go to six flags. If you're local and this is the best you can get to? Go for it. If you do go, ride Blazing Fury, it's hilariously bad. Long lines, huge crowds, a few good coasters. I've heard the cinnamon bread is good but I couldn't be bothered with that line. Food otherwise was solid. I love Dolly, I love rollercoasters. This park didn't do it for me.

We absolutely loved Dollywood!! So beautiful and so much fun!!! Rides were so fun and the lines weren't bad. The dolly museum was beautiful and a dream come true. The flowers they had for the flowers and food festival were beautiful. The train ride was amazing! The cinnamon bread was off the chain, I will be thinking about it until I get back!

As a roller coaster lover, Dollywood was like a dream come true. Dollywood spans 160 acres in the Great Smoky Mountains, and offers more than 50 world-class rides, high-energy entertainment, award-winning dining and the friendliest theme park atmosphere in the world. I purchased my tickets from a kiosk and at first I was a bit concerned about the price point comparing it to other theme parks prices, but once I had the experience, I would pay the ticket price 10 times over. The park was decorated for fall and Halloween with each part of the park having a different theme. The decorations alone were an amazement to view. They had an area displaying the largest grown pumpkins contest. They had displays that were mesmerizing with pumpkins, bats and other Halloween decor. I felt like my eye balls would pop out of my head because it was such sensory overload. The candy corn garden really stood out to me as visually appealing. In addition, they had many stores around the parks that sold hand crafted items that were unique and memorable. I would have purchased something if I had a way to transport it without breaking it. They had hand blown glass pumpkins and hand made wreaths and even a handcrafted violin face were some of the most memorable things that come to mind. So my goal was to ride every rollercoaster a minimum of 6 times each and I managed to accomplish my goal. They had some of the best rollercoasters with some of my favorites being the Eagle and Lighting Rod. The views of the smoky mountains from the rides were just spectacular. They do have a manufacture rule that you have to fully exit and reenter the ride each time even if there are empty seats. I picked a great time to come to the park because the weather was good and the lines were short to non-existent. We got a bit of rain during the day, but nothing was closed because luckily there was no lightening. The foliage of the trees was turning for fall colors and witnessed the most beautiful sunset in the mountains. I didn't really try any of the food because I was trying to be economical, but from what I saw the food and drink options looked very appealing. They had so many shows and live music performances that I wish I could have enjoyed more, but I was on a mission to ride all those rollercoasters. I did get to ride the steam engine train close to the end of my visit, it runs every hour and gives great views of the park. At night, they have so many lights and all the displays are lit up and is really a sight to behold. I was so impressed with my visit and glad that I didn't let the initial price point hold me back. It blew all my other theme park experiences out of the water and really lives up to the Dolly Parton namesake.

Finally made it to Dollywood and was not disappointed. I like theme parks but do not do rides. This place was so pretty with all the holiday decor and the food was so good. The cinnamon bread was by far my favorite. It is very expensive but if you grew up listening to Dolly Parton, it's definitely a fun place to go at least once.

If you like roller coasters, Dollywood is THE place to go! The park is clean, surrounded by trees and mountains, and everything is inviting.

I loved this amusement park it was so fun! Loved the roller coasters, desserts, and shops. It should only be a one or two day trip though because the park is not too large. I loved the vibes and Dolly Parton music playing. The prices were a little crazy though. I definitely recommend!!!

The idea of visiting Dollywood when I spent lockdown during Covid watching theme park videos on YouTube. I've always heard about Dollywood, but hadn't had the opportunity to visit. I mainly heard the food was AMAZING. It's been 5 years and I was FINALLY able to visit Dollywood with my family! What a treat! I had such a great time at Dollywood! The park was incredibly clean and well-maintained, and every staff member I met was so kind and welcoming--it really made the experience even better. The cinnamon bread alone is worth the trip - it's absolutely delicious and lived up to all the hype. The roller coasters were a blast, especially Lightning Rod and Thunderhead - both thrilling and so much fun to ride. My family also enjoyed Wild Eagle and Firechaser. We went in August and there was so lines and crowds were limited. We happily rode many coasters back to back. Overall, Dollywood has the perfect mix of excitement, charm, and genuine Southern hospitality. Can't wait to go back! You can tell how much love was put into designing Dollywood.

    This park is pet-friendly?

No. Only trained service animals. There is a boarding service nearish to the gate though.

Is it worth a visit as adults with no kids? Would it still be enjoyable and worth the price? Also concerned about how packed the park will be since it's the holiday season.

It is definitely worth going even with no kids. So many of the experiences are geared to adults and tradition and there are a number of roller coasters if you like that kind of thing. The food options are wonderful and it is a immersive experience.… Read more

    Two days.

Is the timesaver pass a good idea for Columbus Day with a kid only 42" tall? Thanks for the answers. Turned out we wished we had just gotten 2 timesavers. Unhelpful for our family since our son was too short to ride most rides where the pass works.

It will depend on what the kid wants to ride, what he is able to ride (height), and what is open. Does he like the rollercoasters, dropline, wild eagle, etc; and will they be open? If he wants to ride the big rides alot and he can, then yes buy one.

Is dolly there pretty often? my birthday is coming up and I'm going I would love to meet her!!
