This was my first visit to Oakes Farm and glad it was for the Tulip Festival! This event is for everyone, young and old! There are lots of activities: various staged areas for photos, games, bubbles, food, sweets, and much more! The flowers were beautiful and the view of the mountains in the background was amazing! You must visit the farm to experience it all! To guarantee a ticket, I suggest purchasing them online and they're also cheaper. Customer service was great! Everyone had that southern charm! I will visit again...maybe in the fall for their corn maze. read more

I went to the first tulip festival at Oakes Farm and it was really beautiful! the farm was clean and the flowers were planted in a butterfly shape which made all the varieties easy to see. The staff was all friendly. There's a gift shop and some snacks, too, along with real bathrooms and a playground area. you could pick your open tulips in a separate field for an additional cost of $18/10 tulips. Otherwise, you could just enjoy walking among the blooms and getting some great photos. I really enjoyed it and would have liked a "season pass" to be able to go a few times. read more

Oakes Farm really goes out of their way to create a fun environment for guests of all ages. The first time I came here was for the tulip festival. Recently my family came for the sunflowers. The grandkids (4 & 1) enjoyed the sand pits and absolutely loved the bounce pillow. The train ride, lassoing "the horses", and swings were also a hit. My daughter was able to get some great photos and we ended the visit with some ice cream. We didn't pick any pumpkins but the ones we saw people coming from the patch with were HUGE. When the kids get older it will be fun to do the corn maze. The gift shop had some really nice, unique items. A return visit is definitely in the cards. read more

We've come to Oakes Farm annually for two years since we had our child. This year was insanely busy. It took 30 minutes to pull in the farm. I think this is due to no one directing traffic in the road. Then you have to wait in line to show your ticket or purchase one. Then there is a huge line for every other thing.. We enjoyed our time because we did things that didn't have lines like the corn maze, looking at the flowers, the petting zoo, taking pictures & grabbing a pumpkin that was ready at the exit. But if you plan on doing the hay ride, eating or even going to the bathroom, etc. then you have to wait in a very long line. I do enjoy this farm because of the variety of things to do & all of the photo spots. I recommend going I just hope they find some ways that could help the lines move faster. read more

First time visit to a pumpkin patch and found it to be very enjoyable. Many activities for children. The hayride to pick a pumpkin was fun. All in all a good family activity for the fall. If it's been raining, it does get very muddy so you have to wear shoes for the occasion. read more

I I think Oakes Farm is the best. Seriously. I know there are so many pictoresque farms where you can pick out your pumpkin or go down the slides but seriously tho...there isn't anything like this...it's hands down the best. Oakes has a million things to do for kids big and little. Take your pick oh wee little ones. Pedal carts? jumping pillow? 3 different mazes? Play areas made of sand, corn, or hay? Mama wants to do some candle shopping? Dad wants to bust up some big pumpkins in the biggest launcher you wish you could have at home? I could hang out here all day. The food is actually pretty good and the fudge is homemade. The bathrooms are super clean. This whole area is scenic right beneath House Mountain. Forget all the rest. This place has it all. Come here and laugh like a little kid all over again until the sun goes down. And eat a foot long corn dog like a boss. read more

Oakes Farm is beautiful! The property is huge, and activities include a corn maze, hayrides, slides, a giant trampoline, and a petting zoo. We've taken our son each year since he was one, and he always has a blast. If you can, I recommend going during the week. This year we went on a Sunday and it was crazy. Even so, the place is SO well organized that it wasn't chaos. Lines were long but moved quickly. Great place for a Fall outing! read more

Apple cider slush was good. But as a warning, the pumpkins are from the grocery store. They just roll them down a hill and toss them into a small grass patch for you to pick your pumpkin. They have piles and piles of those big cardboard containers and dumpsters for them. They don't really grow pumpkins. Might as well just buy them at Kroger. Parking is a pain too. read more

Great family fun!! While visiting family in TN we decided to make a day trip to Oakes Farm. We arrived on a Sunday just before 1pm ( opening time) We parked and waited in a line to purchase our tickets- everything went smoothly. I highly recommend getting there at opening if you truly want to enjoy everything without the huge crowds. We spent roughly 2.5 hours there and by the time we left the lines were long, parking was backed up and police had to direct traffic. We opted to pay an additional $5.50 for a pumpkin from the patch ( it's optional and not required to ride the hayride included in the admission price ) Once inside we were free to roam about as we wished. They had plenty of spots for photo ops! We really enjoyed our time here !! We were thrilled to enjoy a Fall activity without sweating to death ( we live in GA) The setting is absolutely perfect with the mountains in the background. It's spacious enough to not feel crowded at all. There were plenty of activities for our boys to enjoy!! They had a petting zoo, a corn maze , slides, games and so many other family fun options! We were most impressed with the size of pumpkins in the patch. They ranged from fairly small to pretty big. They were not just the usual tiny pie pumpkins we were used to getting back home. The whole farm operates like a well oiled machine! Everything was great, the staff was friendly and the grounds were clean! We really enjoyed our time here! read more

Pretty decent little "fun-farm". The ticket price is around $9 for kids/$12 for adults, which includes the corn maze, tractor race, hay ride, bounce houses, and farm animal petting zoo and a few more smaller activations around the grounds. October is the perfect time to go, IMO! You can additionally pay to pick pumpkins from the patch, and they have a pretty decent selection of orange, yellow and white. They have two hot food stands and a dessert stand - it's cheaper quality food, but thankfully still has super cheap prices. (A burger will run you about $4, chicken and dumplings $3, and a hot coco $2.) They have a cute gift shop in the barn, and plenty of attendant and security on site. read more

Took our little dude to his first pumpkin patch! Lots of fun activities for older kiddos to keep them busy and wear them out for the day. Awesome corn maze and sunflower field. Such a fun tractor hayride. Our little guy even fell asleep on it. ( 3mths old ) They have lamas, goats, and a rabbit to pet and feed. Basic food, hot dogs, burgers, fries yada yada... Plus a sweet shop! Few things that kinda stunk... The dust out front. Everything was covered in it. It was pretty windy so that could be the blame. The actual pumpkin patch did not have very good pumpkins. A lot were rotten. I don't think they intended on it being very busy on a Sunday. All in all it was a good time and we will wait till he is a little older so he can do more of the big kid stuff. It would be worth the almost 30 bucks then! read more

Overpriced for what it was. $23 a ticket to go in and they don't even grow pumpkins! There was a truck unloading a giant cardboard container of pumpkins (like the kind you see at the grocery store) onto the ground in the "pumpkin patch. This might be an ok place for families with very small children (0-6) because they have fun stuff for that age. We were so disappointed. If you don't have very young children, skip this place. read more

Don't go late into the season because well, it's a total waste of money. I guess some fault lies on me when we went, but at the same time I think if the maze is pretty much done, and you're still selling tickets at a high rate I think that it's a little bit of a false advertising. I think that Oakes Farm should at least lower the prices a considerable amount when the corn maze is pretty much moot, meaning that you can see the paths and well you can make a path of your own. There really isn't anything interesting, to me at least, unless you bring a family or a big group even then I would suggest to come during peak season when the corn maze is healthy and gives you the true feeling of being lost or unable to make paths or see paths of your own. We didn't do much, mostly just to go and experience a corn maze, and well that wasn't really that great. This is a great place for families and big groups that are kid related because of the amount of different activities. However, for me and the GF, it was pretty much a waste of money. We went out for the 1st day of the Corn Maze opening and were very impressed. The general admission covers the corn maze, hayride, and many other great activities in their Back 40. This year's corn maze is super cool and I love that they have 3 mazes in one. One for little ones, a medium size, and a large size. They have several food options and offer everything from sweets to hot dogs. You can purchase pumpkins for an additional cost. I like how spread out everything was so you were not right on top of each other. The staff was all helpful and there were plenty of staff spread throughout the activities. I would recommend planning to spend a few hours as the kids will have plenty to do. There is not a lot of shade if you go on a hot day make sure you dress appropriately and bring water to stay hydrated. If you go to Twisters after with your wristband you can get a free ice cream cone. read more
