Pull up in front, or park on 12th and Fruitvale, give him a ring, and he'll come out to inspect the car, then we'd go inside to finish the paperwork. All I had to do was bring the title. He forgot to mention on the phone that he charges a 3% credit/debit card fee if not using cash, but there was a sign in the office stating this so it wasn't a surprise or anything. Within minutes, he gave me 2 plates, stickers, and the registration document, and filled out all the paperwork for me, I just had to sign in two places. I took a photo of all the pages and he said I would receive everything back in the mail from the DMV. There's a $5 off with Yelp check-in and I forgot to mention it until after he already charged me, but he gave me a $5 bill back, which I immediately went and used for tacos at Tacos Sinaloa #4 across the street ($3 per taco if you're wondering). Well worth paying for a service like this rather than try to figure out everything yourself and line up at the DMV. What they didn't tell me is that there would be additional hidden charges I was charged $233 total. When I went back to ask why, they said it was for "paying with card" and because "the DMV charges them to process it." If you're going to charge more than the stated $40 service fee, disclose it upfront so customers can decide if they want to proceed. Had I known, I would have gone to the DMV right next door and saved the extra money. Be aware of the hidden fees before coming here.

This review reflects two transactions within a week apart. Last week I brought my daughter to get…read moreher ID- we had no appointment so we showed up at 7:40am the line was already long; once we made it inside we were given a number, the wait was about 30-40 min. My daughter had already completed an online application so it was just the final steps of finalizing the application and take finger print and picture. Once our number was called a we received helped from one of the clerks (the lady that helped us was really friendly and helpful) once she helped finalize processing the application, we were directed to the camera area. An additional 20 min from finalizing application and taking the picture. Now my daughter just has a wait for her ID. My second visit was today for me to renew my DL. I did my application online and paid my fee online as well, I did make an appointment for finalize the process. My apt was at 10:20am, I arrived at 10:10am- the day before I received a text reminder with a link to check in 10 min prior to the appointment (you do have to be on site for this) as it required access to your location. I then waited for about 20 min and my number was called. The gentleman that helped me for my application confirmation code, then ask me to review my information, took my finger print and then send me over to take a picture. There was no wait at the camera area I only had to wait for a temp printout. Aside from that I was done by 10:50am. I think this has been the quickest DMV transaction ever! I do have to point out that this office is a bit small, so seating area is very limited; so you will see a lot of people standing around. I hope they consider adding more seating area or expanding their office space.
