Smog check $50. Very fast service; the place isn't all that comfortable, but it is efficient.

Super fast took less than 15 minutes and cheap only cost me 50 dollars. This place is cash only.

Always great service! It is the best smog place around for the price. I always bring my car to this location since the other one closed. read more

Open for business. Employee said he actually opens at 7am even though Google might say 9 am. Quick smog for only $41.75 (2000 & newer vehicles only) plus $8.25 for the certifificate. read more

This place has been closed since May according to the business next door. Phone goes straight to voicemail. A heads up would have been nice instead of driving all the way there only for it to be closed. read more

I visited Express Smog Test Only to have my 2007 Hyundai tested last year. I arrived about 10 minutes before it was open for business, the tester showed up 20 minutes late! By that time, lots of people showed up and the wait (in hot sun) was long. Another annoying thing about this company is that it only accepts CASH. Luckily, I had enough to cover the cost of the smog test. Will I return to Express Smog Test Only? No, I won't. read more

Love this place!!! I recommend it to everyone. Anytime I need a vehicle smogged I don't go anywhere else. It's quick inexpensive and hassle free. They do only accept CASH!!! No cards and never checks. $45 out the door.., read more

It's not 8:30a and they're still closed. Horrible service and customer service. Go elsewhere if you need a business that runs on time and doesn't roll out of bed whenever they please. read more

They'll entertain your purpose as long as you have proper document and properly ready for them to do it. Fair enough, he will tell you what must be done before you end up paying for nothing. read more

This guy is great! very professional, no appointment needed. I bring my friends here whenever they are in need of smog service. All have said that they were impressed by the service provided and how quickly they were in and out of the shop. I originally stumbled upon this place seven or eight years ago and couldn't be happier that I did every time I need to get smog certification for registration on my car. This is a star station test only and cash only business. read more

Efficient one man operation. Go early! Depending on the time of day Railroad Ave traffic can get bad.

I tried going to Pittsburg Smog on East 14th Street and they weirdly refused service to me with no explanation. Instead, I came here the next morning and had no issues with getting a smog check. I was in and out in less than 10 minutes total. The man serving me was friendly and straightforward. Note that it's CASH ONLY. This place is star-approved, if you need to go to a star-approved smog check station. read more

No hidden fees and I was in and out of there in under 30 minutes (had to wait for another car before me to finish up). Go directly here instead of through TredShed and save a few bucks. But I like how they partner with each other. read more

Very quick and efficient, great service. I walked in without an appointment and it was one person working all alone. Doing the counter stuff, as well as the smog tests. But it was shorter than expected. Only downsides are that they only accept cash, and are basically outdoors. No indoor seating area, all garage like. But these factors won't stop me from coming here. read more

I recommend this place excellent service, great price, friendly. Cash is preferred however I only had my cc and there was no problem I got there 10 minutes before opening time and he still serviced my car! Thank you! Lucy read more

This place is a small shop, but don't let that fool you. They give you a fast quick service for a good price. Note they only take cash. I would recommend this shop for any smogs. read more

Cash basis only. Tell the guy about your online coupon as soon as you get in. $5 discount is still a saving.

I was told to come to Express Smog because the place I normally go to Quality Smog was closed. I arrived at Quality Smog at 9am. I called Quality Smog and the owner picked up stating he won't be in till 10am but told me to go to Express Smog because that's their other smog shop. I go to Express Smog and the place is closed. I got to Quality Smog around 915am. I called Quality Smog and told the guy that the Express Smog shop is closed. The guy said he would call his brother who runs the Express smog shop. Online Express smog station reads open from 9am-5pm. The time was now 930am and the place is closed. A person pulls up in a blue Subaru WRX parks right next to me and by his actions and facial expression he looks irritated. So I get out of my car and go to the sign where an arrow points saying Smog office here. I stand there waiting for the guy to open. While I was standing there a line starts forming behind me. I was standing there for about 5-7 minutes. The guy opens up the garage door and I ask him "excuse me... are you now open?" He didn't say anything back to me. Then the person standing last in line said he been waiting in his car since 8am and another person said he been waiting in his car since 830am. I'm like ok how was I suppose to know you were in your car waiting. The parking lot is shared with an automotive shop so there's no telling who is there for what. That's the reason why I got out and stood at the smog place. So I let the 2 people ahead of me and told them how was I suppose to know you were here since 8am? The late smog worker then started yelling at me saying don't give my customers attitude. I'm like attitude? They came up to me saying "hold up you ain't first I was here before you." But like I said how was I suppose to know that. The late smog person then tells me to get the F*** out of here. I told the late smog person I was sent here by your other smog place Quality Smog because he wasn't going to open till 10am. The late smog person then tells me to "go over there and get the F*** out of here." He also told me not to talk to his customers that way. Ok well for one, if your so passionate about your customers then don't be 30 minutes late. Second I too am a customer. So decided to leave as my customer service experience at Express Smog was HORRIBLE!!! When I was leaving the late smog person walks in front of my vehicle to drive a car in. I rolled down my window and said "you shouldn't talk to customers that way." The late smog person replies back "whatever... Get the F*** out of here." I tried to file a complaint to BBB but Express Smog isn't pulling up on the BBB website so I will be writing a letter to them. I don't like to leave negative reviews but the experience I had at Express Smog was HORRIBLE!!! I don't recommend this place of business to anyone. From being late, poor body language, and mean attitude there was NO professionalism what so ever from this person. ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE!!! read more

*** cash only*** I usually dont carry cash. By chance I had it on me today otherwise I would have been annoyed. Quick and fast. Cost $40 for a car 2000 or older. $50 for 96 to 99 and $55 everything earlier. It's back behind meineke (same parking lot) read more

True to their name, service was quite speedy. They were professional and accommodating. There were a few cars ahead of me, but I was told that I could leave for an hour and I would not lose my place in line. Best smog spot in Pittsburgh, no one beats there prices. Kinda in the cuts but once you find it they treat you right and get the job done. Won't be going any place else, check them out you can't go wrong. Best part about this place is free re-test if your car doesn't pass smog the first time. You still have to pay, it's a little less but anyplace else you'd be paying and not getting that free re-test. Win in my book. 5 stars off top read more

Called here 12/30 at 2:25pm and spoke with a gentlemen who said they would be open today 12/31 until 3pm and to come by anytime before that. Came today at 1pm to find the place closed - very poor communication and poor knowledge of basic business operational hours/days. read more

I was in and out so fast I barely had time to sit down. Best service I've had at a smog center.

Bring all my cars here. Great service and helpful if you have any issues not passing smog. Any year and model they will take care of you.

Have used this place for past ten years, all good. Small, dirty waiting area, but normally good service, etc. Went there at 10am today, there were six people already waiting for service, with two standing at the Check in area. On the back wall was a small hand scrawled note that obviously had been there for months which said CASH ONLY, ATM NOT WORKING. Easy to miss that sign, since there are Visa MasterCard American express and ATM logos plastered all around the Check in area. No sign saying CASH ONLY at the Check in area that I could see. I checked and some of those waiting had been there over an hour, and their cars were still in the parking lot (they can only do one car at a time). Since I didn't have the cash with me, I decided to leave. Found out on Yelp that this place changed hands about six months ago, the old owners opened Quality Smog on Piedmont. So I'll be going there instead! read more

Great customer service, and great price! Definitely will recommend to all my friends! Thanks, Vaughn!

I arrived today at 8:45am for a smog retest since they don't do retests after 2pm. The site says they are opened at 8am. No one is here! The garage and doors are locked. If a business states they are opened at 7:30am, they need to be opened and ready for business. I took my business nextdoor to quality auto care. At least they are reliable in terms of business hours. read more
