Was not feeling like working on this day, three people showed up as his opening the Shop including me, we all said good morning and he had a mad face and didn't respond; which was rude. For a diesel truck under smog check guide by Bureau of automotive repair you don't need carb# or permit # for this part. I requested to the technician to please show me the rules and regulations and he denied. I sat on my car an searched for smog check manual and I also call the bureau to verify the technician mistake and I was told the smog check has to have the smog check manual, just like the one I got denied to see. Technician agreed with guidelines of not need carb# but excuse was the he was told by someone not to follow the manual guidelines. To anybody who has used this service and had a similar problem you should report to bureau of consumer affairs. I think they are trying to scam to get extra money by having to repeat the smog check. read more

I had an upsetting experience here. I came here thinking it'd be an easy smog check based on all of the positive reviews, but I found the service to be gruff and dismissive. When I pulled up into the parking lot, the man working there asked me for my drivers license. I gave it to him. He seemed confused that my address is in SoCal. I told him that I moved up here to the Bay Area. "Where do you work?" "Emeryville," I told him. "You need to go get your smog check in Emeryville then." He then went back to his computer to do whatever he was doing. No explanation why and no eye contact. I awkwardly went back to my car. I don't understand why I would have to go to Emeryville to do my smog check just because my drivers license says I'm from SoCal. I haven't even been to Emeryville in over a year because I've been working from home. My gut tells me that he just wanted to refuse service to me. Whatever reason is his prerogative. A few days later, I decided to go to Express Smog Test Only on Railroad Ave. The man working there didn't ask for my drivers license and immediately worked on my car. Came here for a smog check with this store's coupon. He ran the invoice BEFORE even starting to do anything to my car and then told me I couldn't use the coupon bc he already made the invoice???? Literally makes NO sense. I asked nicely and this could easily be fixed by simply adjusting the invoice but nope! He decided to be cheap and dishonest about honoring coupon that's literally specific to THIS place.
