When I came in, I was immediately greeted by Clint, him and his wife Marty are the owners. Eventually, Marty came in while I was there and I got to chat with them. They are very sweet. They also own another coffee shop that I really liked which was the mocha nut, but now they are both under the name Anecdote. The inside had a chillaxed vibe, with comfy seating. The decor reminded me of the mocha nut as they had some of the same wall art. I was undecided of what to order, so I asked Clint for recommendations. He told me of some seasonal drinks and that always peaks my interest. I went for the Red velvet latte with almond milk and it was delicious. It is the sort of place that feels special the moment you walk in. A lot of people rave about the beautiful space, and quite right too. The staff always boast a delightful disposition that makes you want to smile and enjoy the rest of your day as well. As for the coffee, I love the iced Mayan Mocha. It is like a mocha with a kick and extra flavour depth, and it is absolutely delicious. The dark chocolate, honey, cinnamon, and cayenne give it a little warmth and complexity without losing the joy of a proper iced coffee treat. They also have some really high-end pastries to choose from. I love the lemon loaf, and some of the more complex, unique pastries make it feel a bit more elevated than the average coffee stop.
