Appreciate the nice employees and try to tune out those who are not. The store is well stocked from coolers to shelves, soda machine isn't empty and the isleway's are free of restocking boxes. Not sure when they restock but it's nice not dealing with cluttered isleway's. I realize it has to be done but just nice it's not in the middle of the busiest part of the day. There are 8 gas lanes and Thornton's is usually busy when I'm here. With the large entrance/exit plus a second onto the street running beside Thornton's, it makes for a quick exit onto Washington Street especially if you are traveling West. Most of my stops, like most people, is either for a beverage, snack and/or gas. Mine is usually a 44 oz. soda as I have one in my hand the majority of the day and evening. Many convenience stores are often out of 44 oz. cups, lids or soda with nasty counter tops and sticky floors. That isn't the case at this location. Maybe I've just been lucky but I haven't had that happen at this location. Being so clean with well stocked coolers and a filled soda machine plus a fast in and out is why I continue to return. Keep up the good work.

And don't count on getting a receipt at the pump, quite often that doesn't work and you'll have to venture inside for a receipt, usually in bad weather, grrrr.

The cashiers name was Jeff. The cashier outside informed us he's not one of their regular employees, was just filling in. She said was not the first problem he had with customers, she said that she would talk to management, but because of the offensive behavior towards the female he continued calling male, I felt like I needed to say something.

I'm here often and the majority of the staff is friendly with a mixture of customers between locals and travelers stopping in. I often hear folks asking directions or good places to eat. Of course, a perfect opportunity to introduce YELP app to travelers.YELP app was discussed two days ago with a couple who had jumped off 465 to dine at Bob Evans then gas up and grab snacks before continuing on. Thanked me for the suggestion & downloaded on the spot. I agree with Jeff regardless of the weather the floor always appear ditry or in need of a good buffing. Restrooms can be hit or miss depending on how piggish previous occupants were. Coffee and soda fountains are in constant use during normal busy hours but extra attention would be beneficial. Of course if some customers wouldn't be total slobs and tidy up after themselves in self-serve areas much would improve. All in all a decent Speedway that just needs a little additional TLC.

When you enter the building, if you veer to the left, you will see where you can place your order. If you go to the right, you will find a small dining area with booths. Being that it is located in a gas station, there are an adequate amount of spots to park. The place does not have a grill, fryer or stove. All their food is refrigerated and/or microwaved. They serve items such as burgers, pizzas, pretzels, salads, subs, phillys, wraps and tacos. They also serve breakfast sandwiches. All the drinks that a usual gas station has are at your disposal to choose from. The pizza looked like it was self serve, as I saw a customer get her own slices and take it to the front register. I ordered one of their famous gyros. The meat is pre cut, pulled out of the fridge and nuked for a few minutes. The pita is swallowed up by the meat. There is so much meat. It could make 2 or 3 gyros out of it. I had to eat the meat down to get to the pita. The gyro was warm, but you could tell that it was not fresh and was reheated. It was flavorful though and really filled me up. I had it for lunch and ended up skipping dinner. I also had some of their potato salad, which they got out of a big container in their refrigerator. It was ok, nothing special though. To top my meal off, I got one of the large chocolate chip peanut butter cookies that were starring me in the face when I was ordering. It looked a whole lot better than it tasted. I definitely would not get one of those again. Even though there was a small dining area available. It did not seem very cozy and still felt like you were eating in. a gas station, so, I decided to take my food to go. The staff there were friendly enough and very welcoming. I was stuck between giving this place a 3 and 4 star rating, but ultimately decided to go with the 3.
