This would definitely be worth stopping in if you were in a road trip (how it's advertised) but was also worth just driving the 20 minutes from my mom's house to just poke around. There's a ton of stuff to look at! Between merch and gifts and snacks. We were there at breakfast so we tried a brisket and egg taco, breakfast sandwich, monkey bread, and potatoes. I really liked the brisket egg taco. There wasn't a ton of brisket overall but what was there was good. It was super greasy but somehow that added to it (?) maybe I was just really hungry. Lots of condiments to choose like salsas, onions, and jalapeños. The salsa verde was pretty good with it. I liked the monkey bread as well. I didn't like the spicy potato bites. The flavor was ok, the texture was not. The breakfast sandwich was ok as well. It was labeled as croissant but was made with French toast as the bread. The nitro cold brew is sweetened but delicious! 1 million gas pumps and 2 cashiers. What could possibly go wrong? Although we all pay at the pump, the allure is to go inside and buy other stuff. Only 2 cashiers at 8 am made my coffee purchase take a lot longer than expected. The coffee was good. The half and half dispenser was malfunctioning so just go without. No other option. Wow, Just wow! This was my first visit to a Wally's or any other mega gas station. I was a bit flabbergasted, for sure. There are 84 pumps for gas and diesel. The pumps are covered with spacious aisles. Big trucks and cars use the same pumps. I was uncomfortable maneuvering between the dump trucks that were filling their tanks. The gas prices were about 10 cents higher than the average prices in Indianapolis, but the station is seconds off Interstate US65. A bank of EV charging stations is under construction and will be on-line shortly. In general, there is still a lot of construction in progress around the facility. Inside, the store is huge and spacious. Merchandise is smothered with the Wally logo. Stations were set up with hot sandwiches, pastries, popcorn, jerky, chicken, coffee, slushies and more. Friendly clerks greeted us and volunteered to assist. I grabbed a bag of fresh chips and a Bbq Brisket Sandwich. The chips are incredible, crispy, fresh, sinful and no too salty. The Bbq Brisket was filled with chopped brisket. The sandwich was just ok, but I liked the spicy bbq sauce. Prices are reasonable. Utensils and condiments are provided. There is no place to sit and eat, we took our food home. My husband loved his Cinnamon Roll smothered in caramel and nuts. The $4 beast was huge and fresh. He gave it a solid 5 stars commenting on the strong cinnamon flavor. The store is filled with kitchenware, gifts, toys, Wally themed tees and personal care products. I saw everything that a traveling family might need and more. The toy section rivaled any local toy store. In fact, a group of kids were waiting in line for NeeDoh toys that were about to be shelved. The candy aisle is filled with old fashioned candies with Wally labels. I spent 15 minutes reading funny greeting cards. The beer case was filled with name brand beers, but I did not see local craft beers. When I travel, I like to pick up local craft beers as gifts. The wine selection included inexpensive options. The restrooms were huge and pristine, probably the nicest that I've seen traveling. So, if you're traveling and want lunch, gas and bathroom break, Wally's is a perfect option. You're probably not going to make it a quick stop because there is so much to see. read more

It's difficult to not think of Wally's as a poor man's Buc-ee's. The template for the store is very similar to that store with the beaver mascot. It's a little uncanny, actually. They've got the wall of jerky. They've got the restrooms set up in the same area of the store. (Wally's also claims to have the cleanest restrooms.) They've got the people at the entrances greeting you with a semi-enthusiastic "Welcome to Wally's!" They've got the brisket sandwiches. I could list a lot more similarities, but you get the gist. If you've been to Buc-ee's, it will be hard to not compare the two convenience stores. But if you haven't been to Buc-ee's? Then baby, you're in for a treat! Wally's is really cool, actually. I tried to stay neutral during my Wally's visit, and absorb it as though I had never stepped into a Buc-ee's. Because Wally's deserves a shot to shine on its own accord. This place has an amazing array of food. The middle of the store is basically a food court, with grab-and-go hot-food options like pizza slices, burritos, soft tacos, brisket sandwiches, cheeseburgers, chicken tenders and lots more. Then there are the refrigerated items, like tuna sandwiches, salads, wraps, and even a thing called an egg BLT, which is basically a hard-boiled egg cut in half with bacon, lettuce and tomato sandwiched between it. I think I'm going to have to make these at home! Thanks for the inspo, Wally's. I've been told that the things to get here are the chopped brisket sandwich and the house-made kettle chips. I eschewed that advice and went with my heart instead, and got the El Fuego Burrito, which has shredded beef, white cheese sauce, black beans, corn and green chiles in it. It was alright! Maybe I eat too slowly, but by the time I was halfway done, the burrito was lukewarm. Also, the burrito was not as "fuego" as I thought it would be -- it's very mild, with almost no spiciness to it. So, not bad, but I think I might get something else next time. My kids got pizza slices: one pepperoni and one cheese. The kid who got the cheese pizza said that it didn't come with sauce! Just cheese and crust. I don't know if that was a mistake or if that's the way the cheese pizza is. We also got the smash burger (it was more like a regular burger) and the cheese tots, which were fried discs of cheese, basically. The food was fine, if you're evaluating it in terms of restaurant quality. But it was above average for a gas station. We visited and got a bunch of food with the intention of eating it there, but keep in mind: Wally's has no tables anywhere, indoors or outdoors! They want you to get your crap and GTFO, so there are no tables or chairs to be seen anywhere on the premises. Also, this is not a semi-truck-friendly place. No semis allowed! Just regular vehicles. But they have dozens and dozens of gas pumps, in case you need to fuel your regular vehicle. read more

I can't believe anyone giving less than five stars, how can you not be amazed a gas station has fantastic food, jerky, smooth cold brew on tap? People must be just spoiled kids! My sister and I enjoyed the free jerky samples, were bummed out the cold brew was broken, but tried a taco and wow! A very decent al pastor, much better than many Mexican restaurants. They had just opened this place up so I definitely had to make my way here to check out the hype. Me and my niece had came here on our way from Chicago. We had got gas which the gas prices were not bad at all. After getting gas we went inside to check out the store. They had all types of old school toys from back in the 90s. I was really hype to see some of the old school items. While there we had got a pastry, slurpee, and a Gigi pet. We really enjoyed the items we got. The prices were reasonable. Finally, Wally's is open!! It took a couple of years but they're in business! Lots of fuel pumps! $2.98 for unleaded today. It's a huge store! Bright and open and their theme is the Great American Roadtrip. This location is located right off interstate 65 as a major thouroghfare Gary, IN all the way down south to Mobile, Alabama. Wally's started in Illinois and I'm glad they've started to expand. They have fresh popcorn, pizza, jerky, pulled pork, smash burgers you name it. I got the cheesy tots and the chicken tender sandwich. Loved them both. The chicken tenders were big and they had cheese and a nice sauce on it. The cheesy tots were good and you got a lot of them. They had a Photo Booth, beer arcade, pizza stand, grill stand, slushie, ice cream stand, and fresh assorted flavors of popcorn popping all day. They have nice tins you can get your popcorn in. There's so much to see and it would be a nice place to stop if you were on a long road trip and need to stretch your legs and get some "roadside" snacks. They have isles of snacks. I'm going to have to try the coffee, the pizza, goey butter cake those were things I didn't get this time. Lots to see that's for sure! read more

We enjoyed our visit to Wally's. It's a much smaller venue than another similar station. We enjoyed the jerky counter and that you are allowed to sample before purchase. Bought a Chicago mix popcorn for just over $3 and got a 'single scoop' ice cream which was actually four small scoops placed into a cone. I enjoyed the humor at the fountain drink station. They place signs on the empty space such as Spam and other supposed drink flavors that will make you cringe until you realize that it's not truly a flavor that they are actually selling. This is like a 3/4-size Buc-ee's. Big store, lots of fuel pumps, no semis allowed. And it's not nearly as busy or crazy inside as a Buc-ee's. I like it. There's several of full-service counters for pizza, beef jerky, ice cream, baked goods, popcorn, and coffee. There's also the hot food grab-and-go island with chicken tender sandwiches, brisket, cheeseburgers, housemade chips, etc. By the way, the sliced brisket (they also have chopped) here is better than Buc-ee's. read more

Finally made it to Wally's, and my kids and I had a great experience! We loved the atmosphere--it's clean, fun, and such a cool place to stop. We're so happy to have a Wally's just 20 minutes from us, so we don't have to make the trip to Buc-ee's anymore. We tried the popcorn, pulled pork sandwich, fish sandwich, and the Chicago mix popcorn, and everything was delicious. The real stars of the visit, though, were the fresh-made cinnamon roll and the warm chocolate chip cookie. They were absolutely amazing and worth the trip by themselves! Well this place is huge. This is their biggest store! 84 pumps, a Cafe with plenty of choices, pizza, smash burgers, brisket sandwiches, beef jerk and more. This is not you average convenience store. You can spend hours here and spend a lot of money. lol Yesterday I tried the jalapeño beef jerky, and a slice of pepperoni. Pizza was decent you can buy the slice or the whole pie. This gas station recently just opened up just outside the Indianapolis area and it's very similar to Buc-ees with its own following. The restrooms were clean, very spacious store with tons of merchandise, food, snacks and beverages and lots of gas station pumps to choose from. Associates were very friendly and assisted when I was looking for specific items. Coming to Wally's for a pit stop for gas has become fun due to all the available options of brisket sandwiches to pizza to popcorn station to candy wall, and lets not forget the drink/slushie station. Getting a slushie was a highlight for me. Our food was okay. The sandwiches were warm and stay underheat lamps for set amount of time before they change it out. The hot dog would probably be best hot. The chips were good, like really good homemade chips for the win. The Chicago Mix popcorn is the best thing that I tried from the popcorn station. They do have seasonal flavors that they change out weekly. Restrooms clean and plenty of stalls. If you're going to go on a long roadtrip with kids, they have excellent selection of games to play in the car to purchase. The merchandise section of t-shirts, hats, and other collectibles that say Wally's or have the characters on them are affordable and in nice colors. I would recommend coming for a visit. It was so fun checking out this new convenience store and gas station. It's pretty gimmicky, but that's the fun of it. The chicken tender sandwich was pretty good, I just thought the breading wasn't my favorite. Hot dogs are 10/10. The brisket sandwich was 7/10. Slushy wall 10/10. Brand new Wally's located in Whitestown that just opened. Located right off 65 Wally's is a great pit stop for road trips since it's open 24/7. Wally's is compared to Buc-ee's although it's a smaller version. Wally's has a good size section of unique merchandise and all the Wally gear one could ask for. I grabbed a couple slices of pizza, a snickerdoodle cookie, cinnamon roll, and a orange cream slushie. Wally's is reasonably priced. I did sample the pulled pork and brisket and I have to say I like it more than Buc-ee's. All team members I encountered in each department were very friendly! They also have a Beer Arcade full of a variety of adult beverages. Overall, Wally's is a great place to stop to get gas and grab snacks. I'll definitely be making another stop at Wally's for my upcoming trip to Chicago! read more

We Americans love us some oversized gas stations. (haha) We can't get enough of Wally's and Buc-ee's. This place is fine. There are a ton of food options. I loved the jalapeno cheddar popcorn and cinnamon rolls, but I wasn't impressed with the rest. The Wally's chips were okay. Their buckeye candy wasn't real buckeyes...they were more like Reese's peanut butter dots...and they were just okay. Wally's alcohol appeared to be a little cheaper than other gas stations in the northern suburbs. The staff was very nice and helpful. Stumbled across this place by accident on a roadtrip. I am in love!! There are 50+ pumps. Not even kidding. A popcorn station, several other food stations. FULLY STOCKED AND CLEAN. I will make a detour if I have to just to get back to this place. Tons of trinkets. Tons of stalls and sinks in the bathroom. I feel the need to mention again how CLEAN it was. Building is physically large but basically the same stuff as your normal 7/11, as its mostly empty space. Food is very overpriced and low quality. paid $9 for a burrito that was clearly reheated frozen, Taco Bell would have been way better and cheaper. I think all the food is frozen. Wow what a place Wally's is the perfect mix of a grocery store and a gas station with 84 gas pumps all equipped with squeegee's. Inside there are thousand of food options from baked goods to brisket sandwiches it's impossible to not find something to eat. The bathrooms are immaculate with plenty of space for the most crowded days. Everyone working almost always have a smile on their face almost like Disney. Finally the fountain drinks have both coke and Pepsi this is the only time I have ever seen this. The staff member said this was a on-going issue, trying to get supplies from the distribution system.
