They don't even sell potatoes. So why are they called Spudway. Hmm? Average price gas right in the middle of Austin, with a very convenient location. Nothing particularly special about this spot, but there are so much more expensive stations around here, and there are also much more cheaper gas stations if you look around. read more

BEWARE of CONTAMINATED GAS this station sells !!!! My daughter stopped to fill up our 2017 Honda CRV on May 8th, drove 2 miles locally that day and next morning got on a highway, but in about 30 mins engine gave out and car had to be towed to Herb Chambers Honda of Westborough, where fuel tank had to be cleaned, fuel lines had to be cleared and the cost of that was $1200. I filled the claim with company but they stated it is not their fault as gas is checked daily and refuse to reimburse. PLEASE COMMENT if you HAD SAME SITUATION with them, as I am trying to collect other cases like mine to have more leverage to take them to court. read more

A nice little gas/convenience store. The staff has been helpful the couple of times I went here. Today I was looking for the new mini-toy trucks, and although the cashier was new and did not know what I was talking about, she called the manager and found out where they, she really went out of her way to help me, even though she was busy. A big plus in my book. Good selection of snacks etc, as you would expect. Oh yeah, and they have gas. read more

WORST customer service! She REFUSED to sell me gas!! I arrived at 2:30 in the morning and after waiting patiently for 15 minutes.... I knocked on the window to see if I could get someone's attention. There was NO ONE working the register and multiple cars had left already because the pumps had to be 'authorized by the cashier'. When the teen finally arrived to the register (with phone to her ear)... she said she wouldn't give me gas because I had banged on the window... and that I 'needed to learn patience' WORST!!! These guys have some sort of contract with ABC towing because there is often a tow truck lurking BARELY out of sight on Linden street waiting for anyone to take their car away. I emphasize lurking because they often are hiding with no lights turned on. I had parked in the lot, bought a 2 liter coke and snacks then went to pick up an order of hot dogs next door and within 3 minutes(literally) my car had been towed. Feels weird to be reviewing a gas station, but this place is pretty good in my book. -Tend to have the lowest prices in the area (gas buddy concurs). -Typical low price soft drinks -Free air *MOST* of the time. I have a slow leak in one of my tires (I know it's an easy fix, but I'm lazy), and I am always bummed out about once a month when someone has broken the end of the air hose and I have to wait for it to get fixed. It was conveniently nearby nothing more. The prices are ok for where it is located, wish there was a WS gas station around though. Went here one time and the gas kept coming out of the nozzle after my truck was already full, It did shut off when I quickly snapped back the trigger. Regardless there was puddles of other peoples gas all over the ground as well so I decided to tell the cashier about it as its getting gas all over the side of peoples cars. The kid acted like he was stupid and didn't comprehend much. I just told him put a sign up or something and left. Later drove by and waited at the light nearby, heard someone say "WTF" as gas poured out the side of his car. Hess didn't care they were switching over to Speedway soon anyhow. Who cares if gas gets all over the side of your car and you have to wash it off or if gas got on your new shoes right? read more

This gas station, for the most part, is a decent one, of course, they could improve. The employees are very friendly and have the utmost service specially Najwa every time she is working the store seems the cleanest and most efficient in terms of authorizing your order and getting you on your way. It seems like every customer that comes in knows her as if they were friends she calls them all by name it's beautiful to watch. There is always great energy in there and the prices are Okay. I would definitely come out of my way to pump gas here every time I can. read more

I've been coming to this Gas Station for over 25 years and I have never experienced anything like this morning. I was trying to pump gas and for some reason the machine was frozen and I was not able to punch the zip code so I can start pumping gas, Now keep in mind that today we had over a foot of snow and is freezing outside all I want is to pump gas get a receipt and leave. So ended up going inside and asked the lady if there was a way for her to type the zip code from her end cause the machine was broken and she caught me by surprise when she started yelling at me. Her attitude was out of my comprehension. She said she can't do anything about it, that all I can do is pay with a credit card inside the store, I was just asking a simple question there is no need to treat a customer the way she did. I've even asked for her name and she turned around the other way so I won't see her tag name and askes for mine instead. Also for the past 6 months, there is no day I go and the machines have no paper, every time I pump gas I have to inside to ask for the receipt and every time​ I asked if they ever going to install paper the lady states they are working on it. I will never go back to this stupid place..Stay away from it! read more

BEWARE! Gotta add to the towing issue reviews here. Was going on a trip, pulled into the Speedway, parked, bought some soda and snacks for travelling there. Then, I ran across the street to the Japanese market to pick up my phoned in order, and no more than 45 seconds later a construction worker popped in to tell me they were towing my car. THIS IS UNDER TWO MINUTES FROM WHEN I JUST PAID FOR MY GOODS IN SPEEDWAY! They must have a tow company on retainer sitting around the corner for just this purpose (edit: other reviews here also mention that, ABC towing?). The speed is astonishing. I ran back over and prevented them from towing me, then went in and berated the employees who insisted it's company policy, there's nothing they can do. I've bought a LOT of gas and food here over the years, never again. BEWARE! read more

Pretty nice place, can get gas really late at night when you need it. Would recommend.
