Needed some new brake pads and rotors and Audi quoted me $900. On my way home from work the following day I stopped for gas at Patriot Petroleum and decide to ask the mechanic how much he would charge for the same job and he said $450. I went back the following day to drop my car and not only did he as good of a job as Audi, he didnt play those mechanic games and try to get me to spend more money. 5 star service read more

I usually love this place. I would have given them 5 stars if I took the time before. However, today made me raise my eyebrows. I never usually pay attention to how much they charge my card knowing they have the best prices around. Today the person charged me $5 extra. Now I know it's just $5, but how I'm starting to wonder how many times they have done this. I've heard of people at gas stations getting caught for adding dollars here and there to charges to make extra tip but never experienced it myself. I drove off but parked before leaving the station to inform him of charging me the wrong price. He stated the correct price then looked at the receipt and gave me change back after apologizing for the mistake. I'm not saying it was his intention of doing it, but I have to just say I will be paying attention to the prices from now on. UPDATE: I have spoken to coworkers who have been at this location and some have had similar experiences. Will be reporting to authorities and not going back ever again. read more

This place is reliably cheap (especially if you can pay cash), and I'm lazy enough to like that it's full service, but the traffic pattern here is f-ed up. You used to be able to pull in off of Rt 9 and go straight to a pump or camp out behind the cars getting filled up. Now they want to to go around the building and make two queues, but there's no signage. I'm still cheap & lazy enough to go here, but the last two trips (the only two where I've been at all aware of these lines around the building) have been frustrating. read more

Patriot Petro is my go-to station for gas. Why? The price for regular is cheapest around (bring cash!), it's a full-serve station, and I live and work less than 5 minutes away. They take credit/debit, but the price per gallon is 7 cents more. Technically, they can do this because it's advertised as a 7-cent-per-gallon discount if you pay cash. What I don't like about this gas station is its layout and tendency to get jammed up during rush hour. It's located right off Route 9 West and sometimes the line extends into the shoulder. If you approach the station from Cedar St, there's a weird turn-off that you need to take which is also the on-ramp for Rt 9 ... confusing if someone's not familiar with the roads. Overall, Patriot works for me. 3 stars for an A-OK, but I'm not in love or anything! read more

I cannot say enough great comments about Patriot Petroleum service / gas station in Wellesley. Since Gary has taken ownership a few years now, it has blossomed. After the closing of another station I loved before discovering Patriot, this place I believe is even better. Gary is always pleasant and in good humor. His mechanic I trust so much and very fair. We bought a Land Rover Defender from Patriot Petroleum. We had it for a day. The engine died permanently the day after we purchased it. The employee who dealt with car sales said he would not give us a refund. That is ridiculous. We had to speak to the manager to get a refund. read more

I experienced a very upsetting encounter at Patriot Petroleum today! The attendant affixed the nozzle incorrectly into my tank and gas began spilling out onto the pavement and sidewalk. I moved my car as suggested by this lunatic who was waving his hands and shouting at me the whole time. While my gas was pumping correctly, he proceeded to tell me that I owed him for at least $6.00 worth of spilled gasoline! I explained to him that if he came into my place of business and I make an error, "should he pay for it?" he answered "NO" and I told him that was correct. I did not pay for it and he's damn lucky I didn't call the Wellesley Police for the abuse he bestowed on me! Never will stop there again!!! read more

We've been getting gas here for several years since it's a convenient location and full service. But won't be returning after multiple bizarre interactions in the last few months where the attendants have made very personal comments for example (1) Advising my husband when he went by himself that he shouldn't have his wife's picture on his credit card because what if he took a mistress on a date and used the card (2) Asking my husband and I when we went together if I was his boss at home - in front of our children (3) Repeatedly insisting when I went by myself that I "tell them more about myself" - also in front of our children. This nonsense will not be tolerated, and I strongly encourage people to take their business elsewhere. read more

They are refusing to shovel the snow from their side walk. The children are forced to walk on E. Main Rd. during peak traffic times to/from school. These children have to walk to school because there is not bus service. They have the snow from the parking lot removed, why not the side walk? School district and police say the business owner is required to clear the sidewalk. Dislike this business. read more

Patriot Petroleum is my go to gas station. The gas price is awesome. I moved to the area recently and stop here on my way home from work during the week to fill up my gas tank. The workers are friendly and get my gas pumped quickly and efficiently. I really enjoy stopping by after a long days work and being treated with such great service. I dealt with the owner Gary (the fat balding guy) when I went here. I honestly feel like I understand cars a lot better than him. When he didn't understand what I was saying, he started interrupting me, waving me away, and then hiding in his office. I walked out confused and slightly annoyed, and he chased after me accusing me of stealing candy. These people are incompetent and rude, don't ever give them your business. read more
