I came here because they had the cheapest gas in the area that I could find using my gas station app. It's cash only and full service. I paid the attendant and he filled up the tank while I chilled in the car. It's small as there's only 4 pumps and it's not the best looking gas station, but I would get gas here again. read more

my experience at Rooney Gas Station is usually great Service! I have been going here si opening . Today I pulled in while it was very busy. Seeing the gentleman looking overwhelmed or pissed I decided to HELP by taking the gas pump out of my car. When he approached me and said can you read this sign in a condescending voice. I did not respond because I had somewhere to be and I was shaking. He then says "ok you wanna ignore me " "Nothing to say" I will put you on a list, you can't come back! I got in my car left went to my destination. I went back to ask him about his list and let him know I have been going here for years he did not have to speak to me in the manner he did. Warning: for anyone who goes to Rooney's gas. Make sure you watch what they're doing because I asked for $50 and he filled my tank. Then repeatedly kept saying "what am I supposed to do eat it?" My Uber driver stopped here last night and was unfamiliar with full serve. He attempted to pump gas himself and the older guy that worked there started screaming at him asking him if he knew what he was doing and what full serve meant, well no he didn't. Racist, demeaning, nasty guy that works there made the Uber driver feel like he needed to leave. I normally stop there often but never will again! read more

One star because the manager handled this situation poorly. I asked for $25 and the attendant came over and said "$50". I reminded him I asked for $25 and he went and got the manager who copped an attitude right away, arguing that I got the gas, why shouldn't I pay for it? After some heated back and forth I relented and gave him a charge card for the difference as I had no more cash and I had a family party to get to. He had me pull aside and as I did, I noticed that there was no additional gas in the tank, the attendant never turned on the pump. When he came back, I let him know and he eventually tossed the original $25 cash back onto my front seat , and gave me the charge receipt for the additional $25. I backed up and finally got my gas and he was pretty rude, telling me to "check that the needle moved" and not to come in so argumentative as the attendant was new and being trained. Apparently, not trained very well, as I have pumped my own gas and it's not a rocket science. Mistakes happen, I get that, but expecting me to pay double for some else's mistake is ridiculous, as like everyone else, I am on a budget. His mysogynistic attitude (that I am a dumb woman) was rude and unprofessional. Needless to say, I won't be spending my hard earned money here. read more

The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because they only accept cash. Normally I would have docked 2 stars for that but due to the fact that this is the cheapest gas in at least a 30 mile radius--possibly 50+ mile radius depending which direction you are headed in 1 star is sufficient. As someone who rarely uses cash this can be a hindrance but I make it a point just to fuel up here. It is always the cheapest gas, to the point where it's still cheaper than using my Stop and Shop points at the S&S gas station! And I grocery shop A LOT! The staff is nice, there is usually only one guy working but whoever it is is always timely, no waiting around forever for someone to come back to the pump so you can get the heck out of there and get on your merry way. They're on the ball with it. They have a total of 12 pumps which are all full serve. There's a one way traffic flow in and out, so just make sure you pull into the right side--which if you're looking at the station is the actual right side. It does get a little backed up at certain times of day but its never a really long wait. Well worth the trip to save a few bucks! read more

This is THE #1 most preferred gas station on the entire Main Street and Weymouth. They only accept cash, but the price is much cheaper. They also usually have a line of cars waiting to get refueled. The lines generally go quickly. This gas station also doesn't usually have leaking fumes or stench that give u a headache, nor do they have gasoline spills. It's the most courteous service you will ever find. They do close in the evening tho'. It's also a tidy place. read more

So today I pulled in to the gas station to get gas I handed the guy with the orange bright shirt on my car oh wait excuse me my husband handed him the card and I said to him sir normally it doesn't work at this pump you usually have to bring it inside he said this is a chip if it works inside it will work outside with an attitude I said sir normally it's because I have to put my Pin because I pacifically have my debit card set up that you cannot hit credit instead of him saying ma'am can I just try it he he very disrespectful and rude my husband my debit card back and says go pump your gas somewhere else and then as I got out the car to ask the gentleman what his name was because that's a very ignorant and I don't feel that anybody should be treated disrespectful nowadays know why should you be treated disrespectful because of the color of your skin because he only acted like that because of my husband's color of his skin so as I got out to ask the gentleman what his name was so I can make a complaint to his manager instead of telling me his name he says you know what and sticks both his middle fingers up at me and tells me to go fuck off real loud real loud in front of four of the customers I wouldn't give this man a dollar if you begged me to why I was so upset was because I needed gas and I had my son in the car so not only did he disrespect me in front of my husband in Barris me in front of all these customers how is that to act in front of a child I would not want this man working or representing my company that's for sure so I would say two thumbs down do not go and do not give him any of your money because it is not worth it if he's paying people like that to represent his business read more

Rooney's is a full service, cash only, discount gas station. The same guy has owned it since forever.

i love these guys. the attendants are always fast, polite and friendly. always the lowest price in town. Rooney's is the only gas station i'll use. plus, brought the dog the other day and she got a treat! what's not to love. read more
