I spoke to Artin on live chat. Artin explained they will price match a $849 helmet to $644 due to myself having a discount code from Klim. He stated "yes" to it and I provided all documents and then Matt took over and stated they would not honor it. I feel like this is a bait and switch scenario. Do not recommend business with them. Someone fraudulent used my bank card to make a purchase from this company. I have the shipping name and address, called the company...they refuse to do anything to look into this issue. They said it was my issue with my bank. I've been a customer of Speed Addicts since 2010. In short, this is a legit operation, and from the history of my Yelp reviews, I only focus my bandwidth on writing reviews of businesses I can say honestly say good things about. But then again, I'll reach out to the owner first before I write up a storm of a review on Yelp. Speed Addicts is one of those businesses I trust. Here's my story. Over the years I've watched them grow their base of customers. I've visited their showroom/warehouse a while back, and at both locations-past and present. There, I had a chance to get a tour of the space from the owner-Schad (yes, like Chad but with a big "S" parked right in front of it). Cool guy. I can't say anything negative aside from the fact that they aren't as big as, say, Cycle Gear. At the time of writing this, they're a small team of about 7 or 8. Their warehouse was well-organized and clean. I kid you not, the toilet in their customer restroom even had a badet. Beyond perhaps excessive cleanliness, they had two full time customer support reps answering calls pretty much non-stop. Their phone customer support is good. Seemed super fair, good at listening, and didn't seem like the stubborn/arrogant a-hole type. If I have an issue, I'll call them without thinking twice. So far (knock on wood), every purchase I've made has been smooth. But if something doesn't work out, I'm not worried *at all* about giving them a call and sorting things out. Hell, I'm not even worried about asking to speak with the owner. Not that it's necessary, but it's nice to know that there's only one single bureaucratic layer between me and a defacto decision maker. read more

My only complaint (and it's a big one) is that their "free, no hassle" return policy has a catch. Don't purchase more than you intend to keep or you will find that Speed Addicts will freeze your account. So, if your intent is to be able to try on various items for style, size, or functionality in the comfort of your home I'd recommend that you reconsider shopping with Speed Addicts. Yes, they will cover the cost of return shipping but up to a limit. If they feel that you are abusing their free return shipping policy (even if you don't believe you are and all the items you have returned are done so in conformance with their "rules of the road"), Speed Addicts will not allow you to make any future purchases. read more

STAY AWAY FROM THIS FRAUDULENT PEOPLE. TERRIBLE WAY OF DOING BUSINESS. Speed Addicts labeled the manufacturer's original box of a helmet size XL with a fake, and fraudulent "L" tag in order to mislead customers, but luckily not me. This is serious. You guys are dealing with the safety of riders. It is really dangerous to sell bigger helmets than the ones ordered by customers. YOU DO NOT PLAY GAMES WITH PEOPLE'S SAFETY. You should be out of business. Facts: - The original manufacturer's box was re-label with a fake sticker showing a different size. - The tag on the helmet was intentionally removed, so there is no way to tell the helmet indeed is an "XL" but they are selling it as "L" size. - As a motorcycle rider myself, I noticed that the helmet fit way too big for me and I became immediately suspicious. I checked the packaging and noticed that the original label that shows the "XL" size was intentionally erased with white-out correction fluid. I've only ever ordered online...twice now and if their online service is a good representation of their storefront service, then I highly recommend this shop to anyone looking for motorcycle gear. I made my first purchase only last week and although I received the wrong item, the customer service was quick to resolve the issue. They provided me a return label and I literally received my refund the same day the return was received. The correspondence with the customer service representative was very professional and I did not feel like my issue was just overlooked. They took the time to address my issue and went above and beyond to help me. Because of that, my original purchase of 56 dollars turned into a $300+ one because I added more items. They seem to have some of the cheapest prices for parts, which led me to believe they were a scam or imitation, but after verifying legitimacy of the parts I am very satisfied. Got an exhaust system for hundreds less than the manufacturer, and cheaper than any other price online. Outstanding company. I purchased some items for my KTM 530 EXCR enduro. They had the best prices, great financing options, quick delivery and everything came as expected. Most important is their customer service. Fantastic. There was an issue with one of the items that was a manufacturers defect. I contacted them and from day one, they were eager to solve the problem. The helmet I had purchased was on sale so that was good, after that everything went down hill. The free shipping was no longer free due to living in Hawaii. Okay understandable; reasonable shipping cost of $23. I receive the xl helmet and the cheek pad area is a little loose, so I contact them to get a size large cheek pads. So I need to pay ahead of time and get a refund once I return the set from the xl; understandable. Again fitment guaranteed? Free return shipping? However I'm told that it will cost $38 for shipping of cheek pads due to living on an island! $38? That's more than the shipping of the whole helmet! So I email them twice for a resolution and no response! They don't care about customer service! They'll entice you into buying a helmet and could careless after that! The product ended up in fine condition, but it took about 2 weeks alone for it to even ship. Usually I wouldn't give a bad review for shipping because it's generally the USPS's fault, but because it didn't even ship in so long, I believe it is the companies. Additionally, the package arrived in horrible condition, the box was falling apart at all sides. I realize that most of that is the shipping companies' fault, but I definitely still feel like they could have done a better job making the box and package more secure. Ordered from them a few days ago online, I got the last brand of helmet that I was looking for in my size. I realized there was an issue with my shipping address so I wrote them and email to fix it. Instead of just updating that the woman responding to the email just canceled my order. I went and repurchase it and received a call from Alex just asking to verify my shipping and billing since they were different. I did so and he told me I was good to go. I even received an email from him stating my tracking info would be sent to me shortly. Fast forward a day or 2 and I haven't received any shipping info. I called in and Alex answered. I went over the purchase with him and he informed me it had been canceled also because of no stock. I told him I was told it would be shipped out soon over the phone. He asked who I had spoken to... I informed him that it was him and that I also had an email from him confirming that. He again told me that they had no stock and had oversold that specific helmet even though he had confirmed my order and even told me it was about ready to ship. I asked why I wasn't called to be informed about that since they were real quick to call and confirm my info so they could get money out of it. He said he didn't know he didn't cancel it. He literally didn't care at all, no here let us fix the issue, nothing. Basically just an " Oh well." The fact that he confirmed my order, I was then not informed, and when I finally reach out he said they over sold on that 1 is ridiculous. I went and repurchase the same exact helmet from Chromeburner.com with 3 day priority shipping for 10 bucks more and their customer service was WAY better. I will never attempt to purchase from them again. Especially when I buy a very very expensive helmet. My boyfriend ordered the same helmet as me on Amazon Prime through the specific brand for like $15 more. Avoid them if you can. Purchasing a helmet can be a challenge (expensive) considering the variations between manufacturers and the scarce inventories (understandably) at local retailers. I ordered a NEXX modular helmet with the assurance that if it didn't fit, Speed Addicts would provide return shipping. This was important to me as several online retailers of motorcycle gear are happy to take returns but you (the consumer/buyer) pays the shipping. At $7-$8 dollars a pop for returns, the hunt becomes expensive. SA took back the helmet without any hassle and quickly refunded my purchase amount. Good gear is expensive and fitment is not always consistent. SA will be my first stop in my hunt for new and better gear. I highly recommend them as a first option in your search. read more

Ordered Highway 21 heated gloves. They arrived quickly but went down hill from there. Ordered XL and received Large. The package had the gloves only. Batteries and charger were not with the gloves. So wrong size and two items missing. The other problem was that there wasn't a packing slip in the package either. After calling they did send a return label so that I could return.
