4yrs and roughly $5 grand later... and nothing. Still left on the back of a tow truck. Yes it was at the beginning of covid, ok cool, we understand. Family member had health, ok cool, we understand. But to leave like this with no real answers or a rideable bike. Sad. This place sux. Even at the very end the owner couldn't tell us wut was done. Brakes done? Well we decided not to do them because the bike wasn't gone be ridden... the minute later, yeah the brakes and tires were done. I wudn't recommend this place to an enemy. THE WORST PURCHASE EVER. I purchased the "2003 Harley Davidson "Street Glide Look" Electra Glide Ultra Classic", We were promised a "Top Notch Custom Running Bike" We were told it is "Bullet Proof". The "OWNERS" personal bike. Biggest piece of crap. Still not running. On the first day ride home: ' Rear brake failure ' Weld for shift linkage broke, unable to shift bike. ' Starter and ground wire loose, sparks welding bolt - locked. Later Failures: ' Clutch master cylinder wore out, leaking. Which led to next bullet point. ' Pro One clutch actuator failure. ' BLD belt drive front crankshaft nut loose, started stripping drive splines. Other notes: ' 2 years lacking registration that I had to pay for. ' Two different spark plugs. ' Rear brake caliper held on by a grocery wire bag tie. ' fluids mixed and not changed. ' Second seat does not fit. ' Not all "Focal" components, Arc Audio and other audio mixed. ' Ferring destroyed with sticker adhesive. ' Worst paint ever. ' worst wiring ever. ' Some lights not working. ' Lied to about the bike from the beginning. While buying the bike, Devon stated that I should have AAA motorcycle towing. Red flag one. Upon picking up the bike, Devon stated he sold the bike to a friend, and title was not in hand. RED FLAG 1k, i should have walked away. I'M A BIG DUMMY History: My family and I have been visiting Freedom Cycles for at least 16 years. Building a friendship. The first time I saw the owners son's bike, I knew I wanted it. Through these years I thought we had built trust. Well, Obviously, not with the son Devon. When you pay $20,000 for a bike, you expect it to function for many years. It failed in 10 miles. While bleeding the back brakes, the worst looking fluid ever came out. The shifting lever bracket broke at a grocery lot 1/2 mile from home. I had to suicide shift just to get home, I didn't have AAA towing as Devon had foreseen. I had to reweld the linkage and paint. At this point, I can go on and on about Devon and his Devious dealings running his parents business into clown world. And I wish his parents the best, (I really, really do, and miss them). But being a sleazy, crooked used bike dealer isn't the way they wanted their business to be run. read more

I hate to write this review because the owners were cool, but as a business I'm very disappointed. They are dishonest and a joke. I took my bike here in late September to get it hardtailed, belt to chain conversion and painted. Basically converting my Sportster from a swing-arm frame to hardtail. Devin told me he needed time and an estimate, typical planning. I am not the type of customer to rush or micromanage my mechanic, I typically just let them do their work. 1 month went by, I only dropped off parts, they didn't start on the project, wasn't bummed. 2 months went by, then 3 (December). Still didn't start on the project, no call to me or informing me on the project status, estimate or when they plan on starting. Finally in January, I decided to come by and pick up my parts and bike, 4 months later, no work done at all. Turns out since it was sitting in their garage rotting away, the front brake was leaking when I submitted the bike to them with no brake leak. Instead of fixing the brake leak, Devin just let me ride on my merry way even though he could've done that for me since they let it sit in their garage without even touching it for 4 months. Now the chain, I submitted this chain in a brand new package from Lowbrow customs. I opened it upon return from them and its oily and full of shit, clearly repackaged of someone's old chain. They used my new chain and threw it on another persons bike. Didn't even replace it with a new one. I dont want to write this review because I support small business and I thought they were cool people but this is strictly business. I used to send people their way and always went to them to support them, but they are running a fucked operation right now. To keep it professional, they should've made an effort to keep me in the loop and let me know a timeframe to complete the project, but like I said I don't micromanage and I was the one making more of an effort to communicate. read more

I can truly say that if your Harley needs work, this is the shop you need to be going to. Freedom is an incredible group of extremely knowledgeable guys that care so much about the bikes they work on and the people that own those bikes. I came in for service and ended up with a few other tweaks but these guys will NEVER steer you in a wrong direction. Honest and authentic and super thorough when going through the work that needs to get done and then following when the work is completed. It is an incredible combination of work ethic, extreme attention to detail and honestly treating every person that walks through their door as though they are friends and family. Thanks Freedom! I've been taking my bikes to get serviced here since 2006. I've had three different bikes and this is the shop I have used for preventative maintenance, customizations, and repairs. I have taken my bike here for years now. I love these guys. Not only are they down to earth and fair, but they really enjoy working with their customers. Mike and Devin are awesome. Most recently my bike broke down on a Saturday, I brought it to them and they had everything fixed within a short time frame. I still paid for that. the fender chip was an issue but you offered to paint it for all the delays your team caused. The motor work you claim you did was done so badly the bike wasn't able to be tuned by 3 different shops. Finally Had to tear down the bike and found so many things wrong. I'm no mechanic but YOUR guys bottom line, F@@@ed it up and I have all the pics and prof. so don't try and be all high and mighty especially after claiming I was hostile, of course I was, no one would return my calls after numerous messages and visits to your shop that was always closed. Your lucky I don't sue you as I have all the documentation that you scammed me. I'm surprised there aren't more 1 star reviews..... karma is all I can say buddy. read more

My regular mechanic was out of town so I brought my bike here yesterday. Mike is super friendly and a joy to chat with. I took the bike in for a punctured tube, oil change and to have my shocks adjusted. My called while they had my rear end apart and mentioned that my brakes were done, I told him to go ahead and change them without ever asking how much, probably not a good idea in most cases. Anyhow, I was pleasantly surprised at the total when we I picked up the bike. In a strange sequence of events my dads battery died at the gas station just after leaving Freedom, I walked back and purchased a battery from Mike for my dads trike, he gave me a good price on the battery and even let me borrow a couple tools to install the battery. I've been to all the dealers in OC, and several independents. I've had my bagger built from the ground up, and every conceivable maintenance and repair done. I've asked these guys to do stuff that other shops either didn't know how to do, or didn't want to do. That included fabricating parts that didn't exist, or modifying existing parts that were close, but not quite right. Devin and Mike WILL get it done, and done right, and at a very fair price. This industry is full of people who don't know what they don't know. First class repairs and maintenance means everything when you're on the road. When my bike and my life is on the line, it is great to know that Devin and Mike stand behind the care and work performed on my bike. And if you need custom work done, it doesn't get any better. Not only do you get tremendous value, but they really listen to their customers. My bike was customized from top to bottom. The project turned out amazing, was featured in Hot Baggers magazine, and they never forgot my most important instruction -- whatever this bike looks like in the end, I will not sacrifice roadworthiness; this bike has to be very reliable. It is, and has taken me all over the US, without any trouble at all, and rides (and looks) like a dream!! Devin, Mike and the crew (it's a family run operation) are as ethical as they come. Give Freedom a try, you won't be disappointed. Don't even think about taking your bike to another bike shop. Bought my custom S&S at a shop in Anaheim - won't ever go back there. Had it worked on at a shop in Santa Ana - won't ever go back there. Had the engine rebuilt at Freedom Cycles and it's a whole new bike. Starts instantly, runs perfectly and even sounds better. They fixed things other shops either couldn't fix or wouldn't take the time to fix and they made sure everything was perfect. But the biggest thing for me is they gave me confidence in my bike. Now I can trust it on a long ride. Haven't trusted this bike in the six years I've had it. And you won't find a better bunch of people. Just a follow up. I managed to mess something on my bike. So I ended up having it towed to Mike at Freedom Cycles. My wife was expecting and I didn't have the time to troubleshoot the issue. So I decided to have them fix it for me. Two days later I was up and running and their prices are very reasonable. And they had my bike cleaned and ready to ride! They even gave it a once over and made sure my handle bars were torqued down accordingly. They went above and beyond. Thanks again guys! read more

I brought my 1999 Sportster to Freedom Cycles and could not be more pleased. I was involved in a Jeep versus bike incident. The first dealer I worked with missed a couple of important repair items and I figured I would have Freedom Cycles replace some gaskets, seals, and paint the tank. These guys under promise and over deliver. I received the bike 'back earlier than planned and 5 months later I can't believe how good the paint work looks. They have a cool old school shop and several custom bikes to check out while waiting. They gave me a written estimate to have my bike serviced in writing then when I had the work completed it was $100.00 more then what they quoted.
