Of all of the cable companies this is by far the worst of them. Their staff in service seem to have absolutely no knowledge of people there internet works. I made the mistake and thought that they knew what they were doing and they don't. If you want to upgrade your computer just understand they have no clue as to how to go about doing just that. I've never had a bad experience with Time Warner. Their customer servics is friendly, and I've never had any issues with their tech support. I can say that the only guy I ever had issues with was the guy who set up the TW, but he was a contractor. I'll keep my review pending if anything changes. read more

The worst Cable company on earth. I have been lied to several times by rep's saying there is no charges for dvd's. Mid December I called Spectrum and the person I talked to told me there was new boxes available and if I switched out my old receivers to the new ones they would ship me then my bill would go down in price. Sounded good so I agreed. The new shipment came and inside was a Interned modem. I called again and was told there was a mistake to send box back and a new one would be sent out. Then I turned on my tv and a message popped up that said my tv was deactivated and to call a numberer that was provided. So I called and after a very long time I was told all my codes on my reciver was deactivated and they could not restore them. Then another tv in a different room received a message it was deactivated. New box to arrived and hooked up only to be told once again it was the wrong receiver for my area. Had a tech come to our home was told he put in a request for our codes to be restored. Waited days, then called Spectrum was informed they showed no request. I decided to take the box to a Spectrum store and exchange it for the right one. Installed new box and again wrong box! New Installer came to home brought a dvr and installed it. I have "four" receivers one is a dvr in the living room works fine. Was told all I was to be charged was $7,99 for each box. My last months bill was $223.67. Just received my current bill for $283.60. On that bill they charged me for five receivers. $9.99 for a self install which never occurred. I have their "Silver Pkg"and it went from $30.00 to $43.99. I called Spectrum and of course they only gave me $19.99 adjustment and was told that is all they could do. My advise is to "beware" of anything you are told by Spectrum. And if you have them now watch your bill closely. read more

My service again went out for no reason (probably the 7th or 8th time) so I called to get a technician out, couldn't come for days so I cancelled service as they have completely wasted so much of my time and added so much frustration. I walked in to this location to turn in the box. I had to wait in line for this. I told the woman I already cancelled and just want to turn in the box. She said I still must wait because I have to give information. My name finally gets called. The woman scans my modem and hands me a receipt. She never asked me a single question. So I told the front lady, All she did was scan the device, never asked me a single question, what was the point? She said well you will had to wait in line. They recently took CBS off the air and refuse to credit my monthly service claiming that they reserve the right to delete content and that I agreed to it when I signed up. Ok where to start. Had tw 4 years ago and hated the customer service and the price gouging you receive after the first year of service so I left and went to Verizon fios, which I loved by the way, that is until frontier took over and skyrocketed the price without notification. So after 2 years with Verizon o was forced back to time warner and for about 1.5 years everything was fine. Than spectrum took over and literally and I quote "got rid of all the customer courtesys" see with time warner I had always post dated my payments and some months I would split them up and never had a problem. For 1.5 years I never had a problem or disconnected service. Than spectrum took over. Being in construction I was gone for 2 months and my son was taking care of the bills. When I left every thing was fine and on point. 1st month my son makes a payment with wrong checkbook but the system accepts it so he thinks nothing is wrong , service is fine for 2 weeks and than without warning is shut off. So my son, thinking maybe theres a problem with the account call the automated system and the payment didn't show so he did it again. Once again it accepted it, so he thought problem solved. Cut too a week later. I come home and get an email that my service is now 2 months past due and is being disconnected unless I pay 400$. Keep in mind the 400 is just the past due amount. Total was 640!. My monthly bill is 160. So I call time warner-spectrum, whatever,explain the situation and they straight up tell me sorry were turning off ur service and the only way to keep it on is to pay the full 400$. I tell them what happened with my son and the checks and they do not give one s$!t . I offer to pay 180 and to post date a payment for another 180 for the following Saturday and to continue that until its caught up and that's when they told me that spectrum seriously erased all the customer courtesys. Ive never heard of a company getting rid of all the customer courtesys when their in a customer service business. And to make matters worse it was my other sons 12th bday and the cable was to be shut off after midnight that night. They would not take my money unless it was the full amount. Never in my life have I dealt with such just straight like my loyalty meant nothing and that spectrum just did not care about us as customers. Been a week now without service as I look elsewhere. Both my neighbors heard about what happened and let us hook into their Wi-Fi so the kids can still watch their stuff. And now I have the 400 but I really just do not want to give it to them to turn back on my service. Is rather pay to close it out and go somewhere else. Serious people. If their system accepted an old check and made my son think the bill was paid , how could they not accept my post dated payment to keep the services on if that's what I was accustomed for 1.5 years. At least 1 time cause I didnt know they got rid of all the customer courtesys. Sorry for rambling but this situation has pissed both myself and my wife off so much that we'd like to set the top boxes on fire if we didn't have to pay for them. Good luck read more

Went to this spectrum store yesterday to exchange a two week old cable box for another. Was told the wait would be at least one hour. I was told I could leave and come back later, I chose to wait. I was number twenty two on the waiting list. There were three service writers on the floor for the first one and three quarter hours with most of the time only one customer being helped. There were other service people in the back of the store but not helping customers.Almost two hours in, two service writers came out from the back and sat down at their desks where one of them took approximately five minutes to help her first customer. The second service writer took approximately fifteen minutes to get to his first customer. I ended up being his second customer that afternoon. Note I arrived there that morning approximately at eleven AM and wasn't helped until approximately one twenty PM. I asked the service writer is there customer service this bad and he said ever since COVID it's been like this. Who in the hell are managing these people, that person should be shot.... I guess to have cable, internet and phone were willing to put up with a lot. read more

I would give them zero stars if it were possible. I've been transferred and put on hold for a total of 78 minutes to just try to cancel my tv service. I also bumped my internet from 100mbs to 200mbs. This is the worse customer service I've ever had in my life. I work in retail and the only explanation I can come up with is that they know you don't have any other options. They figure they have you monopolized for the area so they can treat you like crap. My 100mbs service was mostly 20 to 25mbs so I'm hoping by bumping myself to 200mbs that I will get 50mbs. So far it seems I'm getting around 100mbs. To top it off, they outsource their customer service also. I must have told the guy on the phone that I couldn't hear him or understand him 15 times. He didn't try to speak up or more clear for me at all. Then, after I explained to him that I have DirecTV and don't need my box, and the fact that it hasn't even been hooked up for the last month, he insisted on trying to talk me into keeping it and spending more money. When I told him no he asked me the whole thing again. Oh, and by the way, I was literally transferred four times before I got someone who could shut my box off, and each to person I spoke with I had to give them all my information all over again. If you have options, don't get Time Warner or whatever they're calling themselves these days. Charter/Spectrum/Time Warner, you need to work on your customer service or you will lose a lot of people. This review is for Spectrum, not Time Warner. Spectrum is crap; they are bullies and liars. I was a Time Warner customer (with no contract, it was month to month , so my internet price NEVER CHANGED). However I noticed my bill was doubled this month, I called now Spectrum and they explained my contract expired and that I was "grandfathered" at this price, which is an incorrect price since I had month to month. The man proceeds to tell me I can join spectrums package but it'll cost even more!!! I tried to go on to my account to pull up my past 15+ statements to prove that I was on no "yearly" contract. However, they show me a "new" customer so I have no way of tracking my previous statements!!! SPECTRUM SCREWED ME OVER!!!! I feel so used and abused because it's not like we can pick and choose which internet company we want, we are basically stuck with what we have. It's a joke. I miss Time Warner desperately. I went in to return equipment as I recently moved. I signed in and when an employee finally came to assist me I told him I was there to drop off. The person who was ahead of me was there for the same reason and was helped by a different employee. The guy named Javier scanned my item then made a comment about its too late for UPS. He then said I can't turn in my equipment at the store I will have to take it to UPS tomorrow. I said I was never informed about that when I switched services to a new address and he said they don't take returns. I started to walk away and then I turned around and went back questioning why the person ahead of me was allowed to drop off and I wasn't? All of the sudden he said I thought you wanted something else?????? He said he didn't know I was there to drop off???? I said that's unbelievable since I told you EXACTLY what I was doing when you asked in the first place. He said no problem and scanned my item again had me sign a receipt and gave me a copy...just like that. Took 20 seconds I walked out shaking my head totally angry at the way this employee was trying to give me the runaround. What a crap show that experience was.... I can't believe Time Warner ripped me off like this and made false promises. Before I ordered, I was promised that I would receive the "Movie Pass" (Encore channels etc) addon for FREE so that TW's channel offerings would match DirecTV's of the same price. The installer didn't see this on his order and further research revealed it was never even ordered for me! This was promised to me during the sales chat that I engaged with BEFORE ordering. If I had known I would not be receiving what I ordered, I would have gone with DirecTV instead. At least they were honest about what they could do for me. Subsequent chats and phone calls failed to satisfy the problem since they refuse to follow through on your promises. I will be criticizing Time Warner to everybody I know and every review site I can find, and reporting them to the Better Business Bureau. read more

I would like to start this review off saying Time Warner Cable is by far the worst internet and cable service provider I have had the pleasure of doing business with to date. I have been on more technical support calls than have had service. As of today I am on day 2 of no internet service with no help from technical support and currently on hold for the last 30 minutes waiting to speak to a supervisor with the hopes of possibly restoring my internet service today. Good news is they offered me a whopping $3.33 credit towards my account! Spectrum has no taken over many areas in orange and increased their prices. They will not work with long time customers with getting your bill lower but only increase it. I spent hours on the phone trying to resolve the new price increase but they will not budge. I am waiting for ATT to get their fiber optic lines installed in our area then I can get as far away from the holds of the greedy company of spectrum.
