The account was paid in full and up to date. The first call frustrated my husband so badly he just gave up and hung up. We called back again this time prepaired to stay on as long as needed to get the service canceled. THE CALL LASTED ALMOST 3 HOURS AND THEY STILL WOULDNT CANCEL!!!! We received annother bill so we wrote on it that we called to cancel and didn't owe anything. After 2 months we got another bill deducting one month. Then we received an email with return labels for the equipment. Now they have turned the account over to a collection agency for the month after we called to cancel. We are disputing!

I was disappointed and my head started to roll with uncertainty about how I was going to get my TV service. The rep on the line was very helpful. He did some research on his end to figure out who offers service at my new address and actually connected me to Comcast. I was relieved that I didn't have to go do all the research to figure it out and was very happy with the rep - he went above and beyond what hee needed to - at least in my eyes he did. I am not sure if this is what they are supposed to do...I would recommend them for sure.

The installation was very professional; they had to run some new lines through my garage, but everything they ran was tied up and tucked away neatly. I had the Genie DVR installed, and Dan (owner) sat down with my wife for about 10 minutes explaining all of the features of the remote, DVR service, and DirecTV offerings. Spectrum people are parrots who just spit out policy and procedure even though these issues will be resolved to their satisfaction. You pay for the phone, send it back, they don't refund it and you can't get it back if you want it and you just have them $1200 for a phone they won't give you back. Or refund you. B@stards. At first they would give me half back but then a higher authority decided I would get $100 credit based on their rules and procedures. It's all set up to go in their favor because they tell you if it has no scratches or anything wrong with it is how they decide to refund you. The returned phone was still in the box and complete yet, spectrum says it has scratches and was the wrong phone. This is total bullshit! I never wanted the Damn phone. They don't care if you've been sick and ridiculed about my hospital stay. They made fun of me having cancer. Now I just get no phone not even half my money back. These people are the ultimate scammers. I've been with them and the previous companies that owned this company 33 years. Since they've been doing cable and I could get it where it lived. They just don't care about your loyalty nor your payments being on time every month. They are so big now they think they can't be took down. Anyway, when I moved recently, I decided that I was going to downgrade from my current plan with U-verse (internet and cable w/DVR) to internet only. This was huge, friends. HUGE. If there's one thing you should know about me, it's that I'm a sucker for reality TV. Every trashy reality TV show on Bravo you can think of? I was a fan, and it was all on my DVR, along with countless other shows I'm too embarrassed to mention in this review. So for me to go from 300+ channels and DVR to absolutely NO TV (not even basic cable, folks -- I was quitting this sucker cold turkey!) was a huge feat for me. And apparently, it was also a huge feat for U-verse, who wasn't making this transition pleasant for me. So I cut the cord on U-verse as well. And I went with Clear instead. After a simple phone call, I had a SUPER reasonably priced internet-only plan set up. Instead of waiting for days for a cable company to come over and hook up my internet, I received a cable modem in the mail the VERY NEXT DAY. It was super easy to hook up, and BAM! I had internet. Like I said, I've been with Clear since April, and have had their service in both Brentwood and Maplewood. In both areas, I've had no problems with connectivity, internet speed, or anything else. My internet is just as fast as it was with U-verse (and before that, Charter), and it's reasonably priced. The one downside to Clear is that I am locked into a 2 year contract, but since it's not tied to one particular address (like I said, I had this service in Brentwood, and now in Maplewood), I didn't see an issue with that. I will be using the internet for the next two years (and beyond!) after all. One big plus: unlike Charter and U-verse, Clear has NO data cap on streaming. That means I can Netflix away without worrying about exceeding my data limit (and paying a hefty fee) every month. And I'll be honest: I do occasionally stream my trashy reality TV as well. It's like a drug, I swear. Do they have rehab for reality TV show addicts?
