I've also tried auto pay, per their suggestion, past two payments autopay has failed on their end still causing me to have late fees lol. Such a joke.

I was an AT&T customer for many years for both internet, phone, and mobile WiFi . I switched to Google Fiber the minute it became available in my area because of constant billing creep but I kept my mobile WiFi "brick" for secure internet when traveling. This billed automatically to a credit card with autopay that ensured the bill was paid on time every single month. Unused data GBs don't roll over from month to month and I haven't used the Brick in a year but just noticed that the billing increased from $82 to $107/mo - several months ago without notice. I called AT&T to cancel and asked for a refund of last months charges (they can see that I haven't used it AT ALL in a year) but they refused to refund me a cent of the charges after I spent 2 hours on hold shuffled to 3 different people - thanks for wasting not only my money but my time. Don't use AT&T (unless you have a bunch of money to burn)!

Dare I say it, wow…read more Compared to my experience with Time Warner Cable in NYC, this is outstanding. I called to book an appointment and the telephone agent was prompt and diligent. When I had to change it, I was able to do so online through chat. The technicians arrived 10 min early to get started, and an hour later I was up and running with quick Internet.

For a few weeks, our telephone land line did not work. Spectrum resolved the issues. However, my…read morewife and I decided to cancel the line. On contracting the company, the agent offered a special: transfer the land line and phone number to a cell phone and reduce monthly costs about $60. I accepted the offer. The new phone came promptly. I received several messages to activate the phone. When we tried to activate, the agent could not find the account number, and referred us back to the land line department. The land line folks told us that we have to restore the land line to be able to transfer to the mobile department. And, of course, we are told the phone would be added to the current bill. It appears that the 'left hand' does not know what the 'right hand' is doing. And now all we have is a non-working cell phone and phone number! The company needs to figure out how to resolve this issue and let us know. Even worse, employees have no interest in learning basic information about "other" services. This is a very poor way to run a business. In attempting to resolve this issue, it took multiple phone calls to both mobile and landline areas. I also received email messages saying "Action Required: Contact Us to Complete Your Number Transfer" However, the message does not say which office is experiencing the "issue." Nor does the message say what the issue is. It is very uninformative. This message appears to be sent even when no action is required by the customer. Again, this is a very poor way to run the business. My wife and I discussed transferring our mobile numbers from another provider to Spectrum. With all the challenges just transferring a land line number to mobile, I guess it would be even worse transferring from one company to Spectrum. One company would blame the other for any issues. Note: Generally, Charter Spectrum does a good job. My rating is only for the recent interactions noted above.

I canceled my service, since it never really worked in the area and while canceling the rep said "Oh we have better service in your area, would you like to upgrade?" What! I have been paying for this terrible service for years?! Well no, I continue to cancel my service after a series of questions. Was asked if I would like to turn of at the end of my payment cycle since I just made a payment, which I said yes. I was told NOT to return any equipment and received a cancelation confirmation number. Now I'm receiving another monthly bill and emails to return the equipment or I will be charged 200.00. Seriously, I sent them the cancelation number and told them to listen to the conversation. I then tried to call them and was put on hold FOREVER. I just hung up and paid the bill online so I never have to deal with this company ever again. Dear Brightspeed, you should listen to my conservation # MO1300066703. Your representative misled me regarding the disconnect date and told me no need to return any equipment. I will to review your company and tell people about your service and billing practices. Read more reviews on Google, Brightspeed gets horrible reviews.

After driving 11 hours on Friday - we ended with NO internet because the underground fiber had not been spliced for connection. Tech said he would try to get out on Monday 9/22 but NO GUARANTEE! I called Customer Service Monday 9/22 to confirm a date to splice the service. (OUTSOURCED TO THE PHILLIPINES). They confirmed a date for a week later on Friday 9/26 - YOUR KIDDING ME RIGHT! After 2 hours on phone calls I cancelled the order! I work from home and needed internet last Friday 9/19 upon arrival and as a result I have been going up to the TA Truck stop to access internet. Customer Service is outsourced which means the right hand doesn't know what the left hand is doing in the field. Mid afternoon, Tech called stating they spliced the cable but the order was cancelled and can't connect. Asked me to reorder that day. Longstory short I rescheduled for Wednesday 9/24 and when I called today to confirm my order it was found that the outsourced service failed to put the order in! So AGAIN NO INTERNET! Based on Customer Service alone I would not recommend Brightspeed!!!!!!! Has anyone else had issues with Brightspeed service? We ended up going with Spectrum and received same day service installed
