When I talked to the woman at the store about the color being wrong she was kind of dismissive and more or less said it was our fault. We had to pay the painter for a full days work and they had to go to a different store to get the color fixed. Maybe it was because we aren't contractors but after that experience we've taken our business elsewhere.

She brought in a Pantone color guide, he picked out paint that matched it exactly, advised us on what brands and what they'd deliver, helped us pick out some detail brushes and provided advice on getting the job done. Everything we could ask for. He even had a decent sense of humor--not what you might expect in a paint store chap. The store is well lit and clean, inventory is stocked well and things seem easy to find. Someone cares. I recommend them. Would I come back and buy more? In a heartbeat. I keep hearing they're the best in town and now I see why. Drumroll... as the first to review them after likely being on Yelp for years, "Ladies and Genteeeeelmennnn, Spectrum Paint!" I tried Ace Hardware first because the people at this location are usually unfriendly, but Ace was out of what I needed. I went to Spectrum and they said the product was out of stock and took down my information for a special order. I called nearly 2 weeks later wondering if my paint came in and they had no record of my order. Turns out they had it in stock all along! Grrrr. I went to get it and asked for some kind of discount because they screwed up--a paintbrush, 5% off-- something for my inconvenience. They said it was a new employee and they don't give discounts for mistakes. I've worked retail for many years and this is such a crazy policy. I won't come here again and we'll stick with Sherwin Williams from now on.

This is our go to place for Benjamin Moore paint. The color selection for the brand is excellent…read more We have tried Ultra Spec 500, Regal, Aura, and Advance (used for woodwork). Ultra Spec 500 is definitely the best for walls. Regal and Aura are overpriced and tend to drip to due paint viscosity, so I wouldn't use these lines unless you plan on having your home professionally painted. Advance tends to drip as well, so you will need to practice if you plan on using it yourself. Otherwise, I would recommend hiring a professional painter to apply Advance. There seems to be some pricing discrepancies each time I buy in the store. Sometimes they will apply a painter's discount and other times will charge me full price. I have addressed the problem with the store manager on a couple of occasions. My only real complaint is they tend to ignore customers in the store unless they are professional painters. Of course, they make more money on these customers, but they should at least acknowledge a customer when he or she comes in and say how long it will be before they help them. I saw one woman sitting at a table for over 20 minutes without help. Not acceptable. I have gotten to the point that I just write my order down, place it on the counter, and then go to Einstein Bagels to get something to eat. By the time I come back, my order is typically ready.

Bought a DIY pool from Leslies Pool Store. Was told if ran into problems there were local…read moresub-contractors available. Well, the DIY pools are a little more than we could handle. So, we reached out for help to local store. No luck went as far as St Joe no luck there either. So reached out to the customer service line. Told them the situation. The said pool would have to be on a pallet and shrink-wrapped and shipped back. Did just that. Waited for shipping label in email. Never came. Reached back to CS and they said to give them another day to get it taken care of. Waited again. Nothing. Finally, after several days got an email back. Stating that the pool cannot be returned because it's been opened. Well yes, it has. We tried to install it as we told them we did. IM so irritated. $1600 + loss. Will never do business with this company again. Nor refer anyone to them for ANYTHING. Don reported to BBB and the FTC.
