Merry Christmas! I've been buying my Christmas trees at Grass Pad for the last three years. They're always fresh and are still green after New Year's Day, when I take them down. Good choices of sizes and varieties as well. read more

Looking for some advice on lawn care, I got that in spades at the Grass Pad. Suggested by my brother-in-law I decided to give them a whirl. I found a warehouse environment stocked with products specific to lawn care incorporating plants, trees and sod in addition to all things fertilizers. The help is friendly, knowledgeable, and anxious to assist. I was actually offered a spontaneous discount on a spreader with my purchase. Although the results of their products won't be known to me for a few months, if they compare to the service they will be stellar. The only non-punitive deficit is they don't take Apple Pay. I highly recommend the Grass Pad for all your lawn care needs. I know I'll be back. read more

Grass Pad - Entry.... - Nurseries & Gardening Near Me - Kansas City, Missouri

I've been a Barry Road Grass Pad customer for several years. The staff is friendly and extremely knowledgeable. I needed some help with the front of our house landscaping and met Grant working outside. He listened, looked a photos I had, and showed me a photo of his back yard plantings. Grant was extremely helpful and has a great artistic eye. He made some suggestions I would never have thought of myself. I Love the Pom Pom Pine he suggested! Go see Grant...he goes the extra mile. Of course the other Grass guys are great as well. Grass Pad is the best place in the Northland! The Grass Pad is helpful, knowledgeable, and affordable! In my opinion, it's the best! read more

Their customer service is horrible. They stand around and just watch customers search for things. I have never been there and had one employee ask if they could help me. The few times that I have went to the counter for help, the females were rude and never know anything. And very freaking unfriendly. I won't be going back ever!!!! read more

Knowledgeable staff, great service and I appreciate the assistance in getting products that fit my need.

EXCELLENT customer service! Megan went above and beyond to help. Very knowledgeable. Will definitely be a repeat customer

This place is ok if you like NOTHING priced. If you want to know how much a tree is, for example, you have to find someone and then wait while they look for the secret code on the tree then pull out a booklet and try to find the code and then tell you the secret price. I, personally, despise that. read more

The staff her at Grasspad is very knowledgeable about their products, where to plant them, companion plants, pest & etc. They are friendly s& even remembers your face & name when you come back. Victor is the BEST! I call him my boyfriend, because I go up there so much and look for him to help with all of my selections or problems. He never forces you to buy anything but just gives you the honest truth. Everything that Victor has advised me to do, I have done & have had excellent results. The parking is on gravel so make sure you don't drive a low profile car when you go there. The pricing is a little bit higher then if you went to other nursery's but with the knowledge that you get and how close it is I will pay the extra money. oh, you also get a 1 year warranty on all perennials. read more

The Grass Pad is the only place to go for lawn and garden. The employees are all knowledgeable, friendly and fast. We tried the various lawn services and never saw any marked change. After only two years of following the Grass Pad's lawn care calendar our grass has never looked better. read more

Everybody knows that the Grass Pad is high on grass... ;) This is a nice little Grass Pad located at the far west side of Barry Road. It's pretty much considered on the outskirts of town even. It's convenient to get to and it has a nice stock of merchandise, flowers, vegetable plants, seeds, lawn care fertilizers, grass seed, shrubs and trees, etc. Staff is eager to help you and they will start writing up your ticket when you're pushing a cart loaded with stuff to try and save you time at the register. My only negative thought for the Grass Pad is that they advertise their cheap cheap prices in every newspaper ad you see...but I find the opposite to be true. For instance, I picked up a flat of annuals at Home Depot for $3.98 per plant. The same plant was $4.95 at Grass Pad. If I were to purchase the same number plants that I did yesterday at HD but bought them here instead, I would have easily spent $40-$45 more! There have been times that I left the Grass Pad after dropping $75 or $80 on plants and wondered what I just did. The gorgeous glazed planters are lovely but I also can't see paying $120 for one either. Lovely, beautiful, quality merchandise, but still a bit pricey when there are so many options in this area. read more

I am a huge fan of the Grass Pad and this location is no different. For years I used Scott's on my lawn and honestly I got mediocre results. Then about 5 years ago I switched over to Grass Pad and the Loveland products they sell and I never looked back. Ever year I have one of the best looking lawns on the block. I've used them to completely kill a lawn and reseed and let me tell you, the lawn looked incredible. Neighbors were walking by complimenting us on how great everything looked compared to before. Last year I built a new home and a newly sodded lawn was brought in. I immediately set to work on it with Grass Pad's Idiot Proof Lawn Program by Loveland. Currently this spring my lawn is so thick and so green I have yet to have a weed be able to grow and it's the best looking on our block. So if you want your lawn to look like a million bucks, don't skimp. You need to get on down to the Grass Pad, just like the jingle says. read more

We went to Grasspad looking for a tree for our front yard and had no idea what to get. Doug saw us looking around and dropped what he was doing to help us. He asked what we we had in mind and took the time to show us around to give us ideas and talk about each tree. He even gave us the instructions and did not pitch us on other things other than a bag of soil mix we were going to need. Then him and his crew took the time to wrap our tree and help us load in our truck! We are definitely going back for more of our spring planting and more. You guys ROCK!!! read more

The staff here is knowledgable and helpful. I'm so happy that there's a Grasspad close to our home!

Fantastic resource for all your landscaping needs. Staff was super helpful and was able to diagnose the issues I was having with my landscape and provide a cost effective solution. I have definitely found my new go-to for my lawn needs. read more

I have been to grass pad on 3 different occasions. Once I got helped and good advise on planting grass. The other 2 times I left after waiting too long for someone to help. Today I went to buy three trees. Knew what I wanted, just needed to choose the trees and pay. I asked inside for help and they told me to go to the tree section and someone would help me. When I got there there was no one right there but I saw a guy watering and a couple of other guys loading a customer. OK. They are working so I will wait. But when they get done they hang out, lean against the wall and ignore me. I wave, they ignore. I go back inside - 1 customer and I now see 7 employees. I ask for help and am told to go back where I was. I said no one there to help and she simply pointed to the guys still leaning and talking. Come on folks, no wonder big box stores sell so much. Also no service but for half the price. I left with no trees. read more

This is a local nursery with tons of options and wonderful staff. While it is a bit pricey, there are plenty of options to choose from and all of their plants are well cared for. Mostly, I can't get over their staff. Anyone I've ever asked advice from or just chit chatted with have been simply amazing and very knowledgeable. They've even recommended some landscaping and tree trimming services that I greatly appreciated. Glad to have them around for our landscaping needs! read more

I'm so glad I found this place. So much selection and the staff is super knowledgeable and friendly. I'm a gardening nerd so it takes a lot to impress me. read more

The grass pad sells low quality products with poor customer service. I bought a 25 pound bag of macho mix grass seed on 05/16/15. As of 05/25/15 I still have no grass in my yard. This product was highly recommended by an employee of the grass pad. Well buyer beware this grass seed is total crap. I have tried to get some type of help from the corp office and the store manager. Well that was a big joke. I will never buy and recommend the grass pad for anything. They sell crap and could care less after the sale is complete. read more

Do not buy trees here. Paid to have 3 Blue Spruce professionally planted. All three were wilted within 24 hrs. I did everything they said, used their root stimulator product. Watered correctly. Still died within 3-4 months. When dug up, the roots had been cut very short when dug and balled for sale. Despite my efforts there was no way these trees would have ever lived. Grass Pad policy is 50% in-store refund. Hard to think of buying anything more from them. read more
