Apparently returning Spectrum equipment is a scavenger hunt now…read more I walked in carrying a pile of heavy equipment and did what generations of humans have been trained to do: I got in line. Crazy, I know. So there I am, standing behind several other people who had also made the radical decision to form a line, when I start noticing employees calling random names from around the store. People are wandering up from chairs, corners, and various mysterious locations like they've just won a raffle. After about 15 minutes, another customer finally informs us that you have to sign in when you arrive. Now here's the part that really impressed me: every employee in the store watched a group of us standing there holding heavy equipment for fifteen minutes and not a single person thought to mention this tiny little detail. Not one. It honestly felt like a social experiment. "Let's see how long these people stand here before they figure it out." The sign-in system itself isn't the problem. Plenty of places use one. The problem is watching customers clearly waiting for service and saying absolutely nothing. The good news is I eventually returned my equipment. The bad news is I now know more about human indifference than I did when I walked in.

To make matters worse, I started experiencing some very strange issues with the speakers and couldn't figure out what was causing them. Installation King came out, thoroughly diagnosed the problem, explained what was going on, and resolved the issue. What I appreciated most was that they didn't try to upsell me. Instead, they took the time to walk me through the system and provided several options based on my needs and budget. They were professional, knowledgeable, punctual, and easy to work with from start to finish. Their pricing was very fair, and I felt confident I was getting honest advice throughout the process. If you need help with home audio, speakers, smart home systems, or troubleshooting existing wiring, I highly recommend Installation King. Great service and a great experience overall.

The quote was then way more than what we were expecting so we didn't move forward with the work. We were then told they had a $75 cancellation fee - something we were never told over the phone. I've never had this happen before. Even with our other handyman, plumbers, etc. - if you can't do the work, you don't get paid for NOT doing the work. We were told that this would cover gas expenses - why take a job that is out of your network? They knew our address well before coming out. Also, some of our intake conversations were over text, so I wish we discussed the job over photos so they knew what we wanted to do in terms of the job and give us a proper quote. Just felt very scammy and weird after them asking for money without starting the job.

It was fine when the snow was on the ground but I've been having to move it around each time I mow my lawn now. I've called them repeatedly to have them bury the line and they've given me three dates now that came and went, and aside from the initial visit, where they texted me saying they couldn't bury the line because of snow, the other two dates came and went without giving me a reason. I've been calling them every month now having them give me full credit for each month the job remains unfinished.

1/5 -- ABSOLUTELY AWFUL CUSTOMER SERVICE. AVOID FRONTIER…read more Frontier has easily been one of the most frustrating companies I have ever dealt with. Getting an actual person on the phone is nearly impossible. Their automated system forces you through endless menus and loops, and somehow still manages to hang up on you. It honestly feels like their customer service system is intentionally designed to prevent customers from reaching a real person. After canceling my internet service, I paid my final bill and restocking fee. I returned the equipment I actually received. I already owned and used my own personal router, so the only Frontier equipment I received was the Eero device. I NEVER received or used the additional router they are now trying to charge me for. Despite this, Frontier continues billing me for equipment that was NEVER PROVIDED TO ME. Because reaching someone by phone is such a nightmare, I have had to contact multiple agents through their online portal. I explained the situation repeatedly. Multiple Frontier representatives told me I did NOT owe anything else. I was given case numbers and was specifically told the issue had been RESOLVED. Yet Frontier still sent me ANOTHER BILL. What exactly is the point of giving customers case numbers and telling them an issue has been resolved if Frontier is just going to ignore the resolution and continue billing them anyway? This is beyond poor customer service. It is an exhausting cycle of automated phone systems, repeated explanations, conflicting billing, empty promises, and charges for equipment I never even received. If you are considering Frontier, I strongly suggest looking elsewhere. Saving yourself from this level of frustration is worth it. AVOID FRONTIER AT ALL COSTS.

BAI Connect took my condo building's business, then refused to upgrade us…read more My condo building got fiber internet installed with BAI Connect instead of one of the big companies like Frontier or AT&T when it was built. However, BAI only put in wires for 300/300 up and down even though it is fiber. When I moved in, I connected with BAI over email in hopes they would come resolve this. I offered them a commitment from our HOA/residents for a certain amount of signups and would have happily advertised their services to the residents over other options like spectrum. And to their credit, they were responsive at first. They even sent a tech to our building to assess. However, after this tech came, I never heard from them again. Months passed and no response, even after I followed up multiple times. My building is now taken hostage by BAI because other fiber companies won't route fiber to our building since they are here, but they won't give us gig speeds. This harms our building's value and our resident's internet experience and options. Spectrum charges us more money because they don't have any competition. I would be happy to and will change this review if someone from BAI explains to me why they can't bring us to the modern age of fiber internet. Until then I feel sad that our building is being taken advantage of.

I WISH I'd believed the reviews. I WISH I'd believed the woman and her husband who came in…read morescreaming about the horrible service. I WISH. The man who "helped" me upgrade my phone is an absolute SNAKE. Here's what happened: I see on AT&T that I'm eligible for a free upgrade. I go into the store to make sure getting a new iPhone won't mess up my bill or my plan, and if the phone is truly free. He says it wont, and I say great I'm going to the Apple store. He says, please I get commission if you go through me. I decide to throw him a bone. Biggest mistake ever. This SNAKE then proceeds to tell me that he can actually save me money with a new plan. I was paying $160, he says he can get me down to $120. Then he says I'm in luck because its Black Friday and I can get a free line and a free phone, and that actually makes my bill less. I told him I don't really need another phone or line but he convinces me this is the best deal. He instructs me to go home to transfer my phone and then to come back so they can mail my old phone back to make the new phone free. I go back. The printer is broken, they can't mail it themselves. Fine, I'll do it myself. Cut to AT&T gets my old phone. They don't give me a credit because the new plan he forced me into doesn't accept trade ins. Now my bill is $178! I go back in. They claim to do a manager override. That does nothing. Then I go back in, and an assistant manager (he was actually nice) gets on the phone with corporate to get me my credit and to place me on an eligible plan. The new bill will be $155. Why is my next bill $214. I call corporate AT&T. The lady on the phone was like the original person you talked to straight up lied to you. Your original plan was the better deal. That second free phone isn't free at all, its $600. They still didn't credit the phone I mailed back so thats another $1000. They escalate me to fix it. The clown on the phone says "there is nothing we can do." I tried to cancel AT&T but then I owe for the devices. I am going back tomorrow. It is now my main mission in life to get this SNAKE fired. I tried to warn the other unsuspecting customers that they were about to get screwed over, but they won't believe me until it happens to them. NEVER EVER AGAIN. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER. Karma will get this snake. Hope his commission keeps his sad punk a$$ warm at night.

When I called AT&T, I was informed the deal is only available to customers 55 and older, which no one disclosed to me at the time of purchase. I returned to the store to request a return, but Hamilton refused. He also declined to provide his last name, would not connect me with a manager, and denied me access to the store restroom. I now have to spend additional time contacting AT&T to cancel a service I was misled into purchasing and arrange to ship the device back -- all on my day off. This is a serious customer service and ethics issue. Management needs to review this interaction and take appropriate action.
