Overall I spend about 15 minutes in the lobby of that business with AT expert. I had a hacked Instagram and had trouble connecting to Meta. AT specialist who was helping me did not succeed. Nevertheless I was grateful and decided do gift him a $24 bottle of Jamison Whisky as a thank you note. He accepted it! When I got a bill of $80 I was surprised, but then I thought that AT tech spends so much time dealing with clients over internet that he completely lost a touch how to deal with worm blooded humans. So I honored my bill of $80 minus the price of the bottle. But the owner of the business Mr Avakian still insisting on $23.01 balance. He lost my business. He lost my respect. And he lost business of many more potential clients he could have service. My advice to Mr Avakian and the crew: take your heads out of your... computers and look into the eyes of a live person. Cheers. Strongly NOT recommend this business. Add more humanity to your business, it will enrich you spiritually and financially. And don't underestimate little old ladies climbing stares to your office the old fashioned way. read more

Stay away, if you can. The owner Jirka is a not very good at what he does and he tries to squeeze you for a penny. I went into their business, got a quote, then bill with a different amount came. I had to argue to no end with them. Not just that they do not have a very good knowledge of the system integration and software, they did not do their job and wanted to charge more. I refused. I am glad I did. He was recommended to me by a friend, who used them as well. No he told me he had a bad experience as well. Pity it was too late for me. read more

Something went seriously wrong with Abacus. They used to be service oriented and reliable. I have cancelled my service with them in writing and called multiple times and they continue to send bills. No response to calls, ignored emails. Absolutely horrible. read more

I took my hard drive in here for data retrieval. I was told my drive was dead and they couldn't do anything for me. They would get an estimate to have it fixed by a clean room in Northern California. I asked how much I owed them for their service, I was told nothing because the drive was dead they couldn't even look at it. I was given a quote of $1000, I politely declined I was called back five minutes later and told the new price was $630. When I came to pick up my drive I was given a bill for $830 The owner happen to be there and I told him that was not acceptable I was quoted 630. He told me it was for their time to try to access my drive and get my data off. I told him that and employee told me the drive was dead they could not even look at it much less get any data off. I split the difference with the owner. There has to be a better solution nearby. Everyone was nice and polite I just don't feel I got what I paid for read more

When I've had complicated IT issues their Engineers were willing and able to analyze the problems and come up with solutions to solve any issues. Jirka and his company have done a great job maintaining our company's computers and telephone system. Whenever we need to add new equipment or technology, Jirka will know exactly what we need and how to install it. He does both hardware and software, and he also handles all the maintenance. Whenever we have a problem, we simply call and Jirka responds in short order. We are very pleased with the service and the prices are reasonable. I started using Abacus It after being referred by a colleague. I had them out to my place several times and dealt with at least three different service men in total. The first guy was okay, the second guy Robert, while very "nice" was always promising things were finished/fixed when they weren't and often promised to "log in remotely" and fix something that he left unfinished and then just didn't. The last time I text messaged Robert to find out why he never completed the items he promised, I received a reply from someone else who said Robert was no longer with the company. Great. :( I paid AGAIN for Vince to come out and deal with the problems that I already paid several hours for Robert to resolve. I paid the latest bill but never felt good about it, especially because one of the items I previously paid to have Robert set up was a LaCIE back up system. Vince told me that it had NEVER backed up once since I had it. I emailed the company about my unhappy situation and requested some kind of credit be applied to my account. After more than 30 days I never received so much as a reply. This week I emailed the company again. The owner told me "Since Robert doesn't work for us anymore I am not able to ask him about this issue so we can offer you 10% discount for the next service call." You can guess the likelihood of me cashing in on that less than awesome offer. Overall I need someone reliable who does what they say they will and doesn't blame me when their flaky employees do a bad job. This unfortunately is not that company. read more

Laptop is acting up...hard drive is whining and working over-time. Read nice Yelp reviews and take it over to Abacus IT. Corey spends a couple of days diagnosing and determines that the issue is not in the hard drive but a failing transistor in the motherboard. Recommends that we get as much use as we can out of the laptop and be prepared to replace it when it fails at some point down the line. Keeps us in the loop, does not try to sell us unnecessary services, refuses to charge us for his time and efforts and is a nice guy to boot. Highly recommend. read more

I live in west hollywood and try my best to support local businesses.Recently encountered a hack on my desktop,so I started calling around for pricing and they still came out to be the best for me. If a teck is going to run several virus and malware scans this can take hours so the option of bringing it in at a flat rate was perfect.Paying someone to come out by the hour could get a bit pricey. Computers can be one of our best friends when they're working, but when they're not, Life can be incredibly frustrating. I have an Apple laptop with Microsoft Outlook installed. Not necessarily a good combination. Unfortunately, my Outlook decided to not launch thereby making me almost dead in the water with regard to my work as all my client contacts, emails, etc. are on Outlook. Since the Apple Genius Bar is not thoroughly adept at Microsoft issues they said I had to talk to Microsoft. After several hours (two days actually) of Microsoft remote accessing my computer to try to fix the issue, they ended up only making matters worse and then had to say that they only knew so much about Apple products. Ugh! Thankfully, Jirka and his Team (a BIG shout out to Kurtis and Ben) fixed everything as they always do and now my computer is running better than ever. Why I didn't go to them in the first place is beyond me as they have helped me many times in the past. Note to self: Only go to Abacus IT for any computer issues moving forward. I highly recommend Abacus IT for any/all technical issues you may have. Not only are they incredibly affordable, but they are kind, gracious, and understanding when you feel helpless without your computer to make the day go as its should.
