WORST BUSINESS EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE (I'm 60!) Went to store to add mobile service (already had internet) and get a new phone. Didn't have phone I wanted at store - was shipped. Turned out to be smaller than my current phone and actually wanted a larger one. Went back to store, had a larger one in stock. Agent started processing exchanged then said because 1st phone was shipped 2nd phone needed to be shipped although there was one right there (terrible policy). Agent told me to call an 800# to do the exchange. When I called my account was locked for hours (who knows why). When it was accessible the next day I spoke to 2 agents and a supervisor (over 1 hour) who said there was an error in processing the exchange. The error took 10 DAYS to fix! I received the new larger phone and sent back the small one following instructions I was given. 2 days later I left the country for 2 weeks. When I returned there was a box on my porch - the small phone I returned??? I saw an email they sent: Your return did not meet our Return Policy guidelines. Therefore, we are unable to provide you a refund. See details below: Make: Samsung Model: Galaxy S22 IMEI: Failure Reason: ReturnToCustomer You can see the reason is "ReturnTo Customer" ?????????? Luckily I took pics of the phone which was in perfect condition. I offered to take the phone to their store so they could see there is no damage - they said that wouldn't work. To top it all off they charged my CC $800 for the small phone (OMG) After hours over numerous calls with several agents and supervisors I was told to send the phone back again which I did 01/05. On 01/30 they tried to charge me another $800 (I got my bank to reverse the 1st $800 charge). They do not accept partial payments I found out when I tried to pay the amount for monthly service. Went there to transfer my service to spectrum 5-6 months ago, since I loved the service and reception. Orders 2 new phones, 13 pro's - paid cash, and order 2 more of which I ended up never receiving and cancelled service of spectrum, cellular and internet/ cable entirely. After dealing with Juan tor all that time, via email and in person. It was very clear that he was only there to collect his commission by any means necessary. I have had a family plan with Spectrum for the past two years. During this time I have to deal with customer service about every month to talk about the bill due date and the amount due. The customer service agents are rude and don't care about you. The bill started at a reasonable rate but its been raised, at least 4 times making the bill doubled since I started my plan, without any notification. read more

I had Spectrum mobile and Internet/TV since the beginning of the pandemic 2021 And IT WAS GREAT! WHILE it LASTED and I was happy for the savings BEST DEALS EVER. UNTIL October 2022 Then it all went downhill and became the worst nightmare. I even upgraded on the mobile phones from the gig too $29.99 per mobile iphones Still it didn't help Even when I was away from home, the mobiles went dead. Spectrum told me it was time for an upgrade on my iPhones. The mobile service was terrible. And as for Internet it was going out the same time. Horrible service. Do not walk-- run from this company. Keep your mobile service. Anything is better than this. The "unlimited" data is limited! They throttle your internet after 20 kb. The data is eaten up while you're sleeping. All of your apps are using your data all of the time unless you are able to painstakingly go thru your "mobile app data usage" toggles and turn them off... I have had nothing but issue with Spectrum from DAY 1, first thing first the sales reps are LIARS! they don't tell you everything you should know when signing on especially when your getting a new phone. They recently over billed me and I saw that the day of, I literally called them immediately, I was on the phone with a rep for over 40 minutes, they assured me a refund was "going to be put back on my credit card" I waited few days to call them since the rep said it would take few days, so 5 days was enough time right? WELP the refund never happened, I then called to find out it wasn't done and that it would be sent to a supervisor so it can be taken care of immediately, so long story short I never received said refund because I'm honestly thinking they do it on purpose, stall you till your billing cycle comes because the refund ended up going to the next bill and keep in mind I had a $0.00 balance and have been trying to get this resolve weeks prior. I don't ever use the word but I despise the company with a passion. Its so frustrating and I highly recommend if you're looking for a new service provider DO NOT CHOOSE SPECTRUM MOBILE. So many people warned me and I did not listen because I wanted to give them a chance, wish I listened and also they're billing tactic is so old school, NOT like the other providers and honestly I'd rather pay the extra with Verizon then ever dealing with them again. Spectrum Mobile sucks. I have been charged for two months of mobile service and a new iPhone 14 Plus. They have been unable to activate my phone. They have wasted my 3 1/2 hours at a Spectrum Store to activate a brand new phone. 24 hours later my new phone is not working. No explanation just "this happens sometimes"!! I am paying for phone service but haven't had any luck. So then 2 more hours waiting for technical support where im told to wait 24 hours. I will pay for the damm phone they suckerd me into buying with their horrible customer service. While the people working for Spectrum are polite and try their best the Company is a disaster. Terrible Terrible, looking into finding new services. I called to disconnect services due to cost of services $280.00 monthly. After speaking with person stating I was going to stream services I already have he stated can lower my bill if I stream spectrum and will be able record. After all was completed I found I didn't have ability to record. I called and was told not included in package. I could purchase 4.99 to record 50 shows or 9.99 to record 100 shows. Agreed to 4.99 to only be informed I can't have that package i can only have the 9.99. After several calls I was still told only 9.99 package is available to me. Bad customer service. They sent me the wrong phone, I tried to exchange it at the store, they wouldn't do it. They sent me 5 labels to return 3 phones, and now I'm paying for a phone I don't have because they said I used the wrong label. The mistake was theirs, but they won't take responsibility. Totally shady company. They offer one free line for a year if you transfer two lines. I transferred 2 lines on the same day but caled a few days later to change the model of phone so they are now saying changing the model of phone invalidates the offer. Also there internet sucks. Crappy service. Purchased new service with 2 phones. Spectrum won't ship phones to store or your place of business so have to take day off from work to wait for FedEx guy to deliver to your home. So you need to tell your boss you need to take off a day from work to wait for FedEx guy to deliver phone. How stupid is that? I'm 60 years old and had phone service all my life never seen this before. So we missed the deliveries since don't know when FedEx will come. I call spectrum and no help at all. I can't rate this. I am paying on a phone I do not have because of theft. Found out their was no coverage even though I requested it. So I suspended my number until until I finish paying it off. I heard about the $29.99/month no contract plan so called Spectrum to find out more. The agent, Tabitha, offered me a one-year free mobile plan with the $29.99/month no contract fee after the first year. She said this was for new mobile customers. She and her supervisor said my IMEI number would work, but had to file a ticket to get it to process. She also offered me a $500 trade-in for my Samsung FE20 and said the Samsung S21 would then be $8.62/month to pay off. She promised to email me the ticket and call me in two days to finish the transfer. She did not email my anything and did not call in two days so I called Spectrum and got a different agent. (This agent couldn't put me in touch with Tabitha.) She said my IMEI number would not work so I'd need to trade in my phone to get this to work. Her trade-in credit would be $433. She also said I could not get the free year and the cost for a single line would be $44.99/month. I then went to the Spectrum store and that agent said the same as the second agent, but said the trade-in amount was up to Assurant so couldn't come up with a number. I am leaving on a trip to Canada in a few days so had been told by the first agent that I could have this transfer completed before I go. Unfortunately by waiting for the first agent to get back to me, I am now very low on time to start with a new provider. I would not recommend using Spectrum Mobile. read more

I reached out to spectrum Mobil because I've been having issues with connection on my phones.I just changed to iPhone from an old samsung s8 plus phone that carried over from spring and I was dealing with some problems not been able to make phone calls or connect to internet at all, so I thought may be is my old phone? but I was wrong ends up I'm having more problems with the new phone that's what I was having before with the old one. now places were I was able to make or receive calls,massages or internet connection I get zero connectivity. Spectrum Mobile has good coverage but is not about customer loyalty. I have been with Spectrum/Charter for many years but that does not matter. All they want is as much money as they can get out of you. I have three lines with Spectrum Mobile, two at the formal $45 per month unlimited and they will not convert to the $29.99 unlimited per month. They want me to pay an extra $360 per year for the same Verizon coverage that you can get for less than $25 per month. No reason to start with Spectrum and not reason to stay with Spectrum. My Dad was sent a Samsung phone he didn't order and he was billed for 5 months before we realized it. The phone was never opened and no calls were ever made. Spectrum refused to credit back anything and insisted that the phone was ordered. It's bullshit because my Dad had an iphone that was too technical for him so we got him a Lively phone that is easier to manage. My Dad moved into assisted living and I ordered cable and internet for him. I think the sales person must have made a small commission by selling the phone and service. Several calls and a few hours on the phone getting bounced around and unwilling to do anything. I guaranty they won't be around very long. read more

When we moved to our new house in 2019, there was no another internet & TV service in the island, we chose Spectrum. At the beginning, we paid around $150 for the package with internet+TV+home phone (even home phone not necessary, internet never be good enough). The bill was increased to $270 in one or two years later. This summer, we had another choose for internet in our area, so I requested to cancel internet and home phone on 7/12/2023, but we still got the bill for 8/10/2023 without reducing the bill, so I called yesterday (8/18/2023) to check the reason. I was told there was no any record that I requested to cancellation. So I asked to cancel on 8/18/2023, also asked reference # for the cancelation in case there would be no any record again. I was told I would get an email for the cancellation, also I needed to return the internet router on the same day. I moved my router to go to USPS, and found the router is not from Spectrum. I call them today (8/19/2023) to tell them I have no Spectrum router. She checked and agreed I have no Spectrum router, but told me I should return the cable. I told her the cable is connected our TV, and we kept TV service with Spectrum. She said the cable is connect with internet and has to return it. I have nothing can do, just finished the phone call. Then I called back again. A man answered phone call, after went through all the questions and explanations about router and cable, he told me the cancellation would be done after the order closed. I have no ideal what was the order for, so I asked he if he could send me an email for this cancelation or just send me the order; also asked when the order would be done. He rejected to send me a confirmation email; also rejected to tell me when the order would be done; just told me in the next bill there would be only charging for cable TV. Be careful to choose Spectrum - how difficulty if someday you want to cancel it! Trick: 1. Agree with the cancellation, but yo might realize you didn't successfully cancel it after you got your next bill; 2. Ask you to return an equipment then the cancellation would go through, but Spectrum never offered you the equipment; 3. Ask you to return the equipment which is not related the cancelation service, but related the service you still keep; 4. Tell you there is an order needed be done in a couple of days before cancellation be completed, but won't send to you the order or confirmation of the cancelling read more

Justin M. Carter assisted me initially, and while he was out on vacation his associate Juan took over. Both were professional and supportive in the initially stages. Juan walked me thru the entire process of updating my cable and purchasing phones so that I could switch providers from Sprint to Spectrum. Since this location did not have the desired phones in stock, they were ordered in house on 3/24/2021 with an expected delivery date of 1-2 days. Friday March 26, 2021 at the latest. Unfortunately, there was a delay with FEDEX and I was advised that the phones would be delivered by Monday 3/29/2021. Long story short, the phones were lost somewhere in Texas! I did not receive them until 4/5/2021. In between 3/29/2021 and 4/4/2021 I visited this store location to inquire on how this could be resolved. I was provided service by Bri, who was incredibly abrasive and unprofessional. She advised that the only solution that could be provided was to purchase the phones again and HOPE that they would find my package and I could return those phones for a refund. I still cannot understand how the lost phones were my responsibility. This location should learn how to keep their shelves fully stocked, the need to order the phones and have them delivered falls on them. I did not repurchase the phones. Upon finally receiving the phones (4/7/2021), I took them into this location for assistance in transferring the services. While there it was noted the phones were swollen with what appeared to be water damage. At this time Omar was assisting me, upon observing this I asked him not to port the numbers to obviously damaged phones (he was asked twice). Instead of stopping the porting of the numbers he continued, porting 3 lines from my old phones to obviously damaged phones, mind you the phones themselves had not been unwrapped from their original packaging which led us both to believe that the damage was caused by FEDEX. A ticket was opened with FEDEX by Omar and his manager. After the porting was completed by Omar, even after being told please not to, I was left with my old phones which now did not work and the new phones still in their damaged package. These phones are for my elderly parents and myself, Omar and his manager could not offer me any resolution for this incompetent decision made by Omar and his bad attitude. I was left with 6 phones not in working order. I had not choice but to port the phone numbers back to the old phones, Omar's mistake cost me $69.90 in porting back fees at Sprint. Upon transferring service back, the damaged phones/phone lines, provided by spectrum were cancelled and now Spectrum has not stuck me with a bill of $1900 for the full value of the phones. The staff at this location should reconsider their careers with spectrum, obtain better training and more importantly get a change of attitude. It my understanding as explained by Juan that employees like Justin and Juan are salary based with commission. The business practice(s) exhibited of collecting commissions for services not rendered is unethical and predatory to the public! Lastly, spectrum is unwilling to allow me to return the phones, as they are stating the manager as this location is responsible for the actions of this staff. I am asking the Manager at this location to take responsibility for the incompetence of his employees and their role is this costly mistake. read more

Customer Service could not be worse. Signed up for their 2 mobile phone special in July. Walked out of the store supposedly with 2 working phones. Neither were working. It took them 3 weeks to get one working correctly. It has now been 3 months, 3 store stops, 14 customer service agents and over 7 hours on the phone with them and the 2nd phone still does not have service. Each time they say I will have service within 48 hours. It is Oct 24th and still no service and they are holding my number hostage so I can't switch to another provider. That second number belongs to a non-profit animal rescue I volunteer at so no donators have been able to reach us for 3 months and probably lost in excess of $6k in donations for the rescue. Spectrum Mobile has been the worst public company I have ever dealt with. The messed up from day one buy giving us three phone numbers for our two phones. They kept billing us for the three numbers and the $29.99 special was gone. We dropped Spectrum Mobile in July and they still keep billing us for the phone number we never had. I have had service since 2019. Recently told by Spectrum I needed to update my cable modem...did..had problems...tech out fixed. But cell phone would not connect to modem. After multiple chats and calls..fixed. Was sent new SIM...took an entire day to connect and get new number (using same phone I purchased from them). Now can not make wifi calls at all. Since I am in a dead zone, no network service so I have to run off the modem to call...Spent last two days trying to get this fixed. Long story short...mobile support is awful. Plus since I am in dead zone, if cable modem goes down...no tv, home phone, or cell service...Pretty useless to have cell and not be able to call from home. Yesterday it took my phone more then 25 mins to download a app. More then 18 minutes just to search online on home depot. I ordered Spectrum Mobile on Jan 11, came here and saw the 1 star reviews and thought it was better to stay where I was (with T-Mobile). I called in the next day (12th) to cancel. After 30m and bounced around to 3 different people, they finally told me they can't cancel me. No one knew how. Their supervisors didn't know how to void an order. The last person I talked to said once they had a tracking #, they could cancel the order. I told them I did not want to take the SIM cards back to a post office, I wanted them to void the order before it ships. They assured me this wouldn't be the case. They would stop the FEDEX delivery so it won't arrive and the order will be canceled. Jan 13 - I get the order tracking number and call in to cancel. Took two different people but finally they said they canceled it. They said I won't get the FEDEX delivery and I'd have to sign for it anyway so I had nothing to worry about. I would receive a full refund in 4 days. Jan 16 - I notice FEDEX has left a package at my door (didn't ask me to sign). It's the SIM cards that were not supposed to be delivered. !! I call in to ask what's going on, and where's my refund. I'm told that the account is closed, and they can't even issue a return on the SIM cards because the account is closed out. They said, "wait a few more days for the refund." Jan 20 - Still no refund! I call in again and for the first time I reach someone who cares. After many days, and 6 hours of being on the phone I finally get someone who digs deep on this. They discover that the refund was voided but without any explanation. They said it looks like a "system glitch." Unfortunately for them to fix this they have talk to another dept. that has a wait time of 1 hour.... I'm on hold as I write this, and feel that I'll never get my refund. TL;DR Don't buy anything with Spectrum mobile, they just aren't ready for prime time. They can't even cancel an order or refund you once it's processed. Then when you get the SIM cards they said you won't receive, you're stuck in limbo. Then my payment was added to spectrum Internet which I don't even have. I have to be without service for 3 days because that's how long they took to update everything. I switched to spectrum mobile from Verizon. What a huge mistake. I got the worst phone service ever. Intermittent, and dropped calls. Sometimes I wouldn't receive calls at all, and my iPhone 11 wouldn't even know someone called me. I called Spectrum customer service. Most people I spoke to were incompetent. They gave me the run-around transferring me between departments. One of them deactivated my line leaving me without service.
