It's about the company as a whole. I finally cancelled my service and added internet with Verizon (way cheaper btw) and got you tube Tv ( again cheaper) no added fees. I returned everything as directed by spectrum and I get a connections call for $97 which btw who goes to connection for that amount!!!! They started I never returned Obed piece of equipment. I know what I had and I retiene al they gave me. So I called spectrum and they said maybe it was the chip inside the equipment. Hello!!!! There is no way I can take their equipment apart for a $97 dollar chip that's probably outdated and serves no purpose for me. Now there's a 10 day investigation. I can't believe how spectrum over charges and continues even 7 months after I have left their service!!! I am going to tell everyone so that they could leave spectrum. read more

There is a reason for the abysmal reviews here, the customer is set up to fail at every encounter with service ,from the beginning to whatever miserable outcome my ensue . Bottom line is the staff are trained to confuse ,frustrate, and befuddle anyone trying to adjust or change service at any cost. Its clear they are trained to respond in the most inofficious manner possible to maintain whatever overpriced service plan you may be trapped into. Worse than the Glendale DMV, and that's hard to do. I wish more people would report them to the Better Business Bureau , its a lot easier than you might think, and its for horrible traps like this. read more

How often do we need to actually go into and relate to a cable company in person? Not often i would think. I changed out and away from Spectrum for my Internet needs very recently and went to Verizon for same: this cut 50 bucks off my monthly Spectrum bill. Verizon gave me an offer i couldn't refuse as don Corleone would say. In any event i went to the San Fernando blvd location as i thought this is where the Spec store was/is. Well much to my surprise and chagrin the store had moved to the Glendale Galleria a place that, except for sneaking into Macy's now and then i haven't actually stepped foot into for close to 20 years! This store is very new, very clean and the personnel tried their darndest to calm the nerves of the Spectrum customers who were waiting outside the doors for an 11 am opening? (11am? ) I returned my internet equipment quickly, got a receipt as directed by an "in the know" friend and bid adieu. One thing that stood out for me is the merchandising in the store: very Apple store-like i would say. Their Mobile phones were displayed and available for the customers to dinker with: ditto the Modems and Converter Boxes which tickled me. But it also led me to ask as to why my equipment at home for Cable looked so out of date and worn. Spectrum needs to digitalize what equipment each of their customers has and when it needs to be replaced with a newer model. Newer models that will improve your cable service. My interaction with the employees was pleasant and i was waited on quickly. Cheers! read more

Horrible customer service. Three reps standing around. Took five minutes for one of them to ask me if I need help. Sales rep made no eye contact. Was playing on her phone. Asked for help on a bill. All she said was call customer service or buy TV service to get a discount. Hopefully Spectrum's phone service is not as horrible as there customer service. Didn't get sales reps name. Spectrum has one of the worse service, rates are so high, charge $10 each for cable box in your house per TV's. And will not reduce the cost. . New repair guys com3 out and do not know how to fix your cable or tv. They suggest calling geek squad. After they have been here for a hour, must not train their guys enough. This place is awful, and will try to screw you over. Will not listen to your needs, and will have to thinking that your phone plan needs an update. That is what happened to my mother in law. She needed to swap in her phone that was not in working condition, for her business phone/device. Mind you both phones were the same model. yet the supervisor (missed his name, but I can describe his appearance. Bald head?) And another older gentleman with a mullet, said nope can't help! Mother in law was under the account, and both proceeded to deny. Apparently the man of the household needed to be present to make the swift change. But why? Both names were under the same account. Later, he proceeded saying that he cannot assist us and need a new account? Wow. Stepped out the store, called Spectrum directly explained the situation . Was instructed to go back into the store and swap the phone. No hassle. Maria later assisted us, and was very kind. People like Maria should not be in such toxic masculinity work environments. Mother in laws phone was successfully swapped, and was working immediately. Shoutout to Maria for that. Be aware! read more

So glad I dumped Spectrum. I have used this company for cable and internet for more than a decade. Then I cancel the cable and kept the internet. For 15 yrs, I have called them to see if theirs any special for the internet. They say no, I'm already getting a special. $80.00 dollar is not special, it's reg price. Today I finally cancel Spectrum. Couldn't believe they said they will lower the price to $49.99 plus unlimited mobile talk, text, and data plan for 1 yr at no charge. A little bit too late. If you're in lucky to have these as your Internet provider, I'm sorry. The first few years we suffered with a cheap modem that we had to keep switching out with spectrum or charter. Now they raise the price every few months and just recently made it so that if the service isn't down for more than four hours they won't credit anything. Recently we had the Internet down for three hours plus while my son was in school. No credit. This is such an awful company. read more

Before you go there, I would highly suggest you read this. I wanted to get their tv service program, so I went to the store and got a plan that was about $25 a month. I was told there were no hidden fees and and no additional tax. Once I got my bill, the total was about $110. I went to the store and they said that it did intact have tax. The guy who I got the program from denied my argument and said that he made me aware of the tax. This is one of the many altercations that I've had with this store. Another reason why I would not Recommend this is due to the fact that they have poor customer service, false advertisements, and the staff there are extremely rude. They also raise my bill for things I did not purchase and I've always had to make an argument to set things straight. I'd recommend Verizon instead. They have fast work, good customer service, and no hidden tax or fees. read more

Mario, the employee who helped us was great, very nice and extremely courteous. We wanted to check out their mobile phone plans and although it was almost closing time on a Saturday night, he helped us very kindly. It was a super easy and pleasant experience, the location is organized and clean. And for those who may want to know if the mobile service is good I should say after almost one week of using it we never had a problem so we're happy with our purchase specially that we're paying way less than our previous plan with a different company. read more

i went to this store to pay my bill in the machine. Machine as always seems broken for sometime and NEVER was service. So i signed in the front computer to wait in line. One Associate with the name Nerses Bearded and Chunky was by himself. Very Slow in assisting customers that i saw four or eight customers just left the store frustrated because he was stuck with one and it was taking forever. I was expecting i would be called next because obviously i was the only one there when this one customer not even signing in went straight to him and he help him instead of calling me who waited for almost ONE HOUR and 30 MInutes. I felt discriminated that when he called my name i said i felt disrespected i dont want his help and i went to the other Associate Chris who looks like Milli Vanilli. Chris help me and i told him what Nerses did that i am not coming back to this store. Instead of apology from him i got a Sarcastic comment from him saying well a grown man shouldn't be coming to the store to pay wow!!! I am a customer and i can choose where and how i can pay. Dont they realize without us CUSTOMERS they have no JOBS!!! I ask for a Manager and there was none. If I could give negative stars, they get -10. I can not express my dissatisfaction with this company, I am so relieved that I finally got rid of them. As a parting gift and last insult, they are making me pay for the whole month of September instead of the 7 days. They do not prorate their bills. My account originally was Charter and got converted to Spectrum a few years ago and apparently they put the fact that they do not prorate in the mini font at the back of the statements. So I have no course of action but to pay. But wait the story is just getting more interesting. When I decided to return the equipment I went to their regular location which had been there for 20 years, it turned out be closed. The note said new location is in Glendale Galleria. When you walk in to this store (trying to look like an Apple store minus the customer service) you are supposed to sigh in and get in the queue. The sign in tablet was not working so after a few tries I started pointing to the rep and the machine, he came and asked what is going on and I said I cannot get on your queue system, tablet is not working. He said no it is working fine and pointed to the screen that had two names on it. (there was no one else in the store waiting). I said no it is not accepting my info he said it is working fine. So I said do you have anyone else to serve at this time he said no. So I went forward to his station, with a very rude and dismissive gesture he said put the equipment on the table, so I did. He ignored me for the whole time, he did not ask for anything else, no papers, no bills, so as far as I knew he was playing solitaire on the screen. Finally he gave me a little print out with the serial numbers of the equipment. That is it no eye contact, no thank you, no your welcome, sorry to see you leave.... So I get home and see a notice from my bank that a new Spectrum invoice has arrived. I check my bills, sure enough there are TWO bills, one dated September 1st and one dated September 7 for the same month of September. After three phone calls to their customer service, I was told, they do not prorate their bills, so I have to pay for the whole month. Then they tried to avoid the direct answer that why then I get two bills for the same month. Answer was, well when you return the equipment, you get a finalized bill. In summary, I closed the account on 9/7, got one invoice for 9/1 - 9/30 with a due date of 9/18 and another invoice for 9/7 - 9/30 with a due date of 9/10. There must be a consumer protection agency who should review these type of fraud. If I did not check my bank, both invoices would have been paid. I asked the rep about that and she said well that is between you and your bank. So I am paying the $205 bill, for a canceled service. I would love to get on a class action suit if anyone wants to start one for Spectrum and their billing practices. read more

I dont recommend this place at all. Spectrum network isn't too good to begin with them being new. But customer service is terrible. My mother doesn't speak English well. So I always make sure I am available on the phone to I can translate and talk in behalf of my mother. However, people work there act like they are about to get their tooth pulled whenever they have to do that. I do realize it's not the routine things they do but sometimes little bit of kindness would go a long way. I very disappointed with their poor customer service along with their unreliable network. I don't have a problem with Spectrum and I've had it for years. I get HBO max, peacock I watch the dodger all the time NBA league pass MLB extra innings with high speed internet. Cell phones work fine, I got a year of service for a tablet so I watch my shows when I'm away. I don't know. Some of y'all want everything for $25 dollars without tax. Lol. That's crazy. And stop calling people rude and what do you expect? They open at 11 because they close at 8 if you want to be there earlier go to another location. They have several and they're always changing. Spectrum customer service couldn't get me an appt so I risked a walk-in. Checked in at entrance kiosk asap. I was approached right away when they saw me looking at products/services, they made sure I was signed in and asked what I was there for. At this point I noticed only a couple employees and a bunch of people waiting so I sat down to wait and read yelp reviews lol. I'm not gonna lie- almost left a couple times- waited about 50min but the couch was comfortable and I was playing on my phone and everyone else was waiting, too. Once it was my turn I was out in 5min (needed new modem included in my plan). Tip- make sure you know what you need/want and research before you go in and have time & patience to wait. read more

My husband has an Apple Watch than can act independently as a phone. After switching from Verizon to Spectrum, the watch would not work as an independent phone. We've tried many times to make it work. We finally deactivated it. After over a year, we went back to try again and Francisco was able to make it work.
