Came to just pick up my equipment. An improvement could be like Amazon lockers. Sign in and pick up the equipment. Instead I waited for two hours until closing as a walk in and didn't even get my equipment. The list only got longer for waiting. Jen was up next for TWO hours before being called up. I was number 6 on the list. So if my math is correct that equals a 12 hour wait if I want to just pick up a modem. Absolutely ridiculous. And one of the ladies there was extremely rude to a customer just asking how long of a wait just to say about an hour. read more

In the year and a half we had their service, it was frequently down, or slowed down so bad that I couldn't even stream an audiobook. In the beginning, we contacted them and they'd come out and they couldn't figure out what the problem was, but still treated us like it was our fault. Yesterday, my neighbors had Spectrum hook up their service. We used to have Spectrum, but switched due to service issues. Conveniently, while the Spectrum (not contractor) tech was working, our internet dropped. To add to that, I came home to find that he pulled the Spectrum cable from my house and tore up my yard to use it on my neighbor's house! He left cables unburied, sod all over the place, left the drop cover in our bush, and even stepped on my plants! Thankfully, the Spectrum dispatch agent was able to get a tech out to fix the cable issues, but I'm still left with chunky sod, a dying plant and no internet! The response time is the only reason for the second start. Do better Spectrum. UPDATE: I've received calls from mgmt, who took 100% ownership, brought a sup & tech out to get me up while waiting for my provider. They also committed to fix the damages. I'm sure social media put a bit of pressure on them, but their response was quick and professional. read more

I've received excellent service on my visits to this location.  When shopping for my phone, I received the assistance I needed. Setting up my new phone was very simple with the associate. I've observed employees take abuse from customers with calmness and professionalism. I don't know why people think complaining about the company will make a difference with front-line employees.  *heavy sigh* Finally, there's a good selection of mobile phones: iPhone, Androids, and Google. We called in to Spectrum support due to a issue with one of the cable boxes. The phone support checked and said we need a new cable box. I took the box to the local Spectrum store here in Cedar Park. There were only three customers in the store. They said I had to sign in to get help. That in it self was a pain. After they finely decided to help me I went to the counter and told him whay I was there. He asked for my ID as I was getting it I told him the account was in my wifes name. He said she would have to add me to the account to make the exchange. I aske him how I did that he said I can give you a number to call. I said really. I told him that my drivers license show the same address as whats listed on the account, he said sorry can help you. After three years as my Internet and TV provider, they raised my bill from $160. To a whopping $223. For the exact same service. I switched to ATT and now MORE service i'm paying $120/month with no contract. When I called to cancel my tv and internet Spectrum told me "We don't pro-rate the monthly use so you have to just forfeit the $223 you already paid. Then they said "Since you also have two mobile phones with us, since you dropped Internet each phone will be charged an extra $10/month going forward! Way to entice a customer to ever come back! So I did some digging and found an unlimited text/data plan with Verizon for $25/month per phone! Thank you Spectrum! This company and place sucks. I'm not sure why anyone would support such a company. One that actively screws over their current customers and panders only to new customers with their facade of promotional's that offer only temporarily "low prices". Once you're locked in as a current customer, then comes the fun part! You really only have two options. 1) Continue being held hostage by their continuously increasing bill(s), or 2) play the used car salesman game of bargaining the final cost of what you should *actually* be paying. If you don't have another ISP to choose from in your area, you won't have any power to bargain. They will tell you "oh well, too bad your promotional period has ended, even though we see you've been paying your bill on time for many years." Spectrum is firm on their pricing when you call in to discuss any bill increases versus calling in and saying you're switching providers. All of a sudden they will care more about you. Weird how that works, huh. Spectrum needs to learn from their competition, as they will lose many customers to any other ISP who can promise a steady monthly bill that doesn't increase because of straight up greed and deception! Even after you cancel your service, they do a fantastic job of making sure you hate Spectrum even more. I called to talk to a representative over the phone to cancel my service, thinking it would save me time (haha) and allow me to just drop off the equipment at the Spectrum store and be done. The phone representative who canceled the service suggested I didn't even need to set an up appointment or anything and to just show up to drop the equipment off. Showing up to the store, I am greeted with many customers waiting around, along with at least three others that were dropping off equipment. In reality, all Spectrum should need on the equipment are the serial numbers that should allow them to tie the equipment to your account. Nope. They want you to wait in line, and this is the best part, after waiting in line to try and do *another* used car salesman bargaining sales pitch to try to retain me as a customer! If this company cared *at all* about their customers, they would make the equipment drop-off as simple as possible, and not try to extract every possible dollar they can from their current customers. It's a slap in the face, as they know the customers have very little bargaining power in the end. Well this is the only power we have as customers. I'm cancelling this service and going with the new provider in the area. Anything but the money-vacuum that Spectrum is. For new customers, this company wears a mask pretending to be a "fair" and "good-priced" with their one/two year "promotional pricing" only to increase it monthly until you start to notice and decide to take action. This was just a quick trip to the local Spectrum to drop off my equipment. Finally cut the cord and just do streaming. But I was responsible to getting my boxes back to them. Packaged it all up and a short drive to the 1890's Ranch shopping area. First challenge, no fault of Spectrum, but a big ass truck and long trailer decides to park in front of the building, Taking up all eight spots. So I had to park away from building and walk around the truck while the guys were joking on the sidewalk. I walk in and almost immediately ask how I can be helped. Explained returning equipment and pointed to the counter where I need to go. I wait for customer to be done and put the bag on the counter. Gave the guy my bill with my account info. Went to this location to cancel our cable (NO ESPN LAST STRIKE FOR SPECTRUM!!) and they said they couldn't cancel it to call the main number which isn't taking calls either! They were able to return all of our equipment but not cancel our cable!! WTH If you are having this issue file a complaint with the BBB so they have to respond and you have a record of events!!! read more

Service is typical of a corporation. Sales reps will show up at your door and promise you everything but deliver nothing. Once they've sold you they block your number so you have no one to talk to or to prove the free month they offered you. Very hard to get through to Customer Care. Everything's a bundle when being sold but they marketed an individual item pricing. No truth in advertising A modem was giving me problems. I've been trying to get internet service at an address I am leasing. The previous tenants that moved out a few days prior to me moving in, had spectrum service. I'm now at week 3! Trying still to get service, 4! Technicians all of which were hours outside of their scheduled window, and "customer services" giving the holy grail of run-around. I still don't have internet service. I canceled the 1st Technician for being late because I errands to run, 2nd technician was 45 min late and wasn't qualified for fiber optics (when I never wanted fiber optic service)...so the third tech was noted in dispatch to send a qualified fiber optic technician, 3rd shows up LATE spends five seconds at my residence and says "I'm not fiber optic qualified"....and the 4th technician was 3 hours late! I dreaded this and knew this would happen when the landlord said only spectrum was available. read more

I had an appointment today to get my fiber service connected between 1:00 and 2:00. I've been waiting since noon to make sure that I am early. I got a link to view live technician arrival, beginning from 2 hours down to the last five minutes away. I waited outside waiting for the technician that never showed up, after several phone calls to customer service, there is no way of communication to the technician. This is the worst experience I've ever had with a cable provider. Never had this issue with AT&T. Unbelievable, no courtesy call of running late or anything. read more

Even with the social distancing restrictions in place, this was easily the most pleasant experience I've had dealing with Spectrum. First of all, I liked the ability to schedule online. And unlike the old location at Duval and MoPac (and probably the Domain location), there's plenty of parking in front of the location. Most importantly, they made the transaction quick and easy. I got a replacement cable box and a remote control. (FYI, they keep the spare remotes in a basket at the front of the store.) As far as an experience goes with the cable company, it was almost perfect. The only thing holding them back from perfection is a continued issue with Spectrum. Even though they supposedly activate the equipment when you get it, I've never been able to connect the device without having to call Spectrum later for activation once I get home. read more

Hasn't been working since we bought it. called more then 5 times, they sent someone to my house but my internet is still terrible. This is while using their highest paid plan too, I just can't imagine what lower plans are like. BAIT AND SWITCH, MISREPRESENTATION, FALSE ADVERTISING!!! Johnny, at this location was awesome, the store manager was a total jerk and should go back to the country he is from to treat people like dogs. The email below was what I sent. I spoke to Mindy B of their Escalations Team and she insulted me by stating that she would offer us the $36 trade value and an additonal $100 for the phones. Then offered $400 total credit to our account. Not $400 per phone. So we went from what their representative offered us on the phone (and she verified what I am claiming by listening to the conversation that he and I had) which was the $636x2= $1272 credit for trading in our Note 9s to $672, nothing like once again Big Corporation of America taking advantage of us little guys. All she wanted to say was the same old talking point of their generation "we see an opportunity for coaching." NOT STAND BEHIND WHAT THEIR SALES PERSON QUOTED US. THEY COULD CARE LESS!!! What a joke!!!!!  I can totally understand if I missed some small print when looking at their site to calculate the value of our trades, that is why I called in and had it verified by their sales staff. Apparently you can say whatever you want to customers if you work for Spectrum and the management will refuse to honor said quotes. PITIFUL, SHAMEFUL AND TYPICAL THIS DAY AND AGE OF CORPORATIONS THAT LOST THE CUSTOMER RELATIONS PART OF DOING BUSINESS IN A HONEST WAY!! We had a friend visit us from Lubbock. He had a Fold 4 and we liked the phone. I researched on your site the amount of trade in credit that we would get for our 2 Note 9s. The site asked for my phone info including the IMEI number to calculate the credit amount. The site quoted me $536.00 per phone.I called in on 12/15 and spoke to one of the phone reps. He verified who I was by sending a code to me by way of text. He looked into our account which I pay for 7 mobile lines. He and I discussed at length the process and dollar amounts for my wife and I to trade in our Note 9s. He quoted me that they would be worth $536.00 each plus a "special" of an additional $100.00. He quoted the Fold 4 would cost $1649.99 less the amount of $636.00. He explained how the credits would work. He got out a pen and paper to make notes and do some additional calculations in case we wanted to pay $500.00 down to lower the monthly price. There was never a mention that there was a "qualifier" of any sort to receive the $636 per phone trade in credit. He then gave me the address of the store closest to my zip code which was the location  1335 E. Whitestone Blvd Suite J-300 Cedar Park, TX 78613. He stated he had no way to look up their inventory to tell us if they had 2 Fold 4 in stock. My wife took off work and we drove the over 1 hour and 20 minute drive to get to the location with the thought of either purchasing these phones if in stock or ordering them. The phone specialist at the location (Johnny) said he would verify the price that I was given earlier today on the phone. He calculated that our phones would only be worth $36.00 not the $536.00 that we were quoted before we drove that distance. He stated that the $500.00 credit was no longer available unless we were purchasing a new line but if we had come in last week it would have been good. I asked to speak to the store manager and the manager stated there was nothing he could do to help us. I asked for the area manager's name and contact information and he refused to give me this information. He said if I wanted to email him my complaint/situation he would forward it to her. So we drove the over 1 hour and 20 minute drive back home with no new phones that were going to cost over $2500.00, almost 3 hours of drive time, gas expense, time off for my wife from work and no name or number/email address to speak with a manager about the false advertising/representation from your representative on the phone for about a half hour of time spent. I would like to talk or email a Corporate decision maker about the treatment of a loyal customer. If we cannot get help we will probably choose to move the 7 lines back to Verizon amongst other avenues of notification to the public how Spectrum misrepresented on the phone and the website, how they bait and switch you into doing business. read more
