If you have occasion to go to this Verizon location be prepared for GREAT customer service. I was met at the front door by a Verizon customer service representative who had a genuine smile on his face and held the door for me as he escorted me to one of the counters toward the back of the store. His name was Shannon and he was sharply dressed! You know when somebody takes the time to dress that way that they care about themselves and likely care about their jobs as well. Shannon had me take a seat and then explain the problem I was having with my phone. There was no high-pressure sales pitch.... just solid information on what my options might be. From looking at my phone he was able to tell right away that it wasn't a screen problem. There was damage all the way into the LCD so insurance which we had, along with warranty was discussed. Shannon was extremely helpful and got a claim started for me which we were going to be able to finish later on, once I got additional information (that I did not have with me) so that Verizon could ensure that I was not trying to utilize someone else's account. It was a really pleasant experience. I haven't been to that location since I bought my phone nearly 3 years ago as I have not had any problems with it. I'd had a good customer service experience there when I purchased my phone Back then too so that speaks to consistency which I also very much appreciate. We followed the instructions that Shannon gave me and as it turns out the warranty will be in play and I am being sent a replacement. Thank you for assisting me Shannon. I'll be back! read more

I have been a long time customer of Verizon and walked into this location to discuss upgrades and options. I was taken back by their lack of customer service, empathy and professionalism. We left the Verizon store and went to the AT&T store down the street and the difference was night and day. Complete scam artist. we went in to upgrade our iPad and the sales rep tried to sell us everything we did not want. He kept on trying. Finally we went to check out and saw he added home insurance to our monthly bill for $98 a month. we ask what this was for and he said it covers home electronics. We never ask for this. Once we discovered he tried to sell us something we did not ask for or need we left the store. We are elderly and can not believe they would try to pull this with us. I'm switching service asap. Went in to get help setting up a new Iphone and they were very unhelpful. They wanted to charge me $30 to transfer data from my old phone to my new phone. What a ripoff. Would give 0 stars but yelp won't allow me too. I have switched from T-Mobile to Verizon. It hasn't even been A MONTH since my switch and have already had to drive 30 minutes 3 times to come into this location. My phone bill is almost $400 for 2 lines which I was NOT told I would be paying this amount in the beginning. Also the customer rep Angel told me I could try out their internet for 30 days at NO CHARGE, brought back the modem literally 2 days after ( would've brought it sooner but again it's a 30 minute drive) and guess what I have on my bill? One month charge for internet services. I was also charged for insurance on 2 phones that were transferred over ( which have their own insurance) without my consent or being asked if I wanted. The manager is a another level of rude! He basically spoke to me as if I was stupid or naive. I explained to him that his service rep did not explain any of the charges on my bill and he basically said well sucks for you! Save your TIME, EVERGY, and MONEY! Went in with my boyfriend today to switch my phone over from ATT and was told that after I had ATT unlock my phone, wait 24 hours and put in the new SIM card and it should work flawlessly. Left the store and tried to call a client back and to my surprise, only emergency calls can be made. This is my business line and I was assured everything would continue to work until tomorrow when I install the new card! I frantically borrowed my boyfriends functioning phone to call the store to see how to proceed and of course, was routed to the 'customer service center' and not the store. At which time, I couldn't speak to a real person because #1-they had a horrendous hold time. #2-my number didn't pull up any account. #3-no option for a call back, just horrible hold music. I sure hope their cellular coverage makes up for this. Now I'm stuck without a functional phone for possibly a full 24 hours from when ATT unlocks it. I made an online order that I had to pick up in store. The person in charge, not a sales rep, assisted me. I explained I received a message that my order would take 15 min and it should be ready. He said it's not ready and I insisted that a received an email saying it was available. He said I was wrong and insisted on seeing the email I received. He pointed out my mistake and I apologized for being early. He then walked away saying as he left "it will be a few minutes". I sat down and waited. When he brought my order out, he asked for Alan. He approached my 15 year old son and handed him the bag. I said, "no, that's my son, my husband, is not with us." He stopped, pulled back, turned and asked me: "are you on the account?" I said: "I should be, I pay the bill!" He walked away from me, knowing my name because it was on the email he read to prove me wrong, and after I told him my phone number with my full name when I walked in for "check-in" purposes. The receipt and card were also only in my name. He preceded to take his time identifying me. I showed him my license and he confirmed I was on the account. Again, my name is all over this exchange and I don't mind showing my ID, but he made it seem like I needed my husband's permission for this transaction. He handed me the bag begrudgingly and walked away. He didn't offer me any further assistance. This man would not hand me the item I paid for online with my credit card, in my name because my husband was not with me. He not once offered an apology for the time or his misogyny. I will never purchase another phone from any Verizon store because this guy who thinks it's ok to be rude, disrespectful and domineering to customers. read more

Zero stars... Stay away from this store! They give out lots of incorrect information! I'm writing up a full report and sending to corporate so they are aware. My family wanted to switch to Verizon but were thinking of going to some other company after we found out that just about everything they told us was wrong! I can't go into the 12 things or so here, but here are a few. Apparently, we aren't the only people to leave this store and go to another one as the store we went to is now receiving other complaints from people about the Cedar Park store. Don't trust ANYTHING they say! They said we had an offer that we found actually expired a week before that day. They said older phones (iPhone 6s and 7 Plus) don't work with the Verizon network. They gave incorrect information on the differences between the iPhone 11 and the 11 Plus. They almost signed us up and then said we could take care of the phones later (which would have resulted in losing the 2-for-1 deal). It doesn't end there... We ended up just ordering through customer service and picked up our phones at another store (Greenlawn). They are much more accurate on the information they provide. read more

He's more interested in ignoring me, helping people who were being helped by others then taking my name off the sign in list (so the manager didn't get pissed (Update) Someone from management called me and asked about my last experience.Boy did I give her an ear full. The customer service was trash. I went in two separate times today and talked to two different employees and both encounters were garbage. I was looking into upgrading my phone and so I made an appointment to go in store. My grandmother who lives out of town is the account holder on my plan and would prefer me to go in person so she doesn't have to do it herself online for reasons you can guess. The first time I went in I just wanted to ask some basic questions. The first guy answered my questions, but was in no way pleasant. He acted bothered by me just being there. I shook it off and left. I came back a few hours after making the decision I was going to upgrade. The second guy, once again acted bothered by me just being there. He pretty much told I was sh*t out of luck on upgrading because I'm not an account holder and they needed to be present or I needed to become an authorized account holder. I've never had an issue with this before. In the past they have been able to just call my grandma and ask her a few security questions to verify her identity. I explained that and told him she lives out of town. He told me that they made exceptions for me in the past and he wasn't able to do that because he "follows the rules" Guess you really just don't want people buying phones? Didn't even get a "sorry I wish I could be more help." Nothing. Whatever, so I left and got my grandma's login info and did it my self online. I mean if you're going to provide me with absolutely no help at all, the least you could do is give some what of a friendly greeting/experience. Verizon your internet Sucks I am trying to do works in my house with your 5G internet or something BUT ITS SLOWER THAN ANY OTHER INTERNET. Like bruh I am trying to play some games during weekend and it gives me 2000 ping!!!!! How do I even play? The internet or wifi even LTE on phone is slow as HELL like when I am in the building SOS appears. Which is not understandable at all. When I am in the city its 1 level of connection. ? When I read negative reviews I have to remind myself that happy people are too busy being happy to stop and write a review. Not that people who have bad experiences don't really have their experience, but it seems like negative people attract negative experiences. So, I tend to look at the whole picture. I usually check to see what kind of reviews that person leaves at other places. If every review is a bad one, it just supports what I said earlier. If they have a history of writing good ones and then have a bad one mixed in, I mark it as a credible issue. Recently I made up my mind that I'll make a habit of slowing down my awesome experiences long enough to let people know about them. 2 years ago me and my newly wedded wife decided to open a joint phone account. I switched from AT&T and she switched from Sprint. Verizon was offering a smoking deal to switch over and we jumped on it. The best part was meeting Peter Anderson. He walked us through everything and made sure we got the best deal on our trade in devices, as well as the best deal possible on our new iPhones & accessories. We left feeling like we got "hooked up". I have never had such great customer service in a cell phone store. Fast forward 2 years and we were ready to upgrade our devices. I called the store where we met Peter and he was no longer there. So we decided to go with our gut on an alternate store closer to home. 1890 Ranch was what I found and in we walked. We were greeted by non other than Peter Anderson!!! What a fantastic surprise!! We could hardly believe it. Peter went out of his way AGAIN to work out the details that best suited our needs. Again, helped us with the best trade in value, helped us select the best plan, and found the best price on the accessories we wanted. We probably took more of his time than we needed to, but he was so gracious and patient with us and our questions. The guy knows everything there is to know and freaking ROCKS!! I hope I never have to buy a phone from anyone else. Peter had an appointment to help, so Deanna took over to help us resolve an issue we had with multiple iTunes / iCloud accounts on the same device. She is just as wonderful and patient. I love my Verizon service...never have problems. BUT, this particular Verizon location is absolutely awful and if you call the store directly no one answers, was on hold for over 25 minutes and by the time i drove here was still on hold. Just had an encounter with the "manager" who was very condescending and not at all helpful. All I needed was for someone to check the status of an order and they want me to wait 30 minutes for something that would take less than 5 minutes. They are always understaffed and unless you talk to the right person you are stuck dealing with someone who is a jerk. There's got to be better locations than this one. read more

Oh, my God! Today, I went to several stores looking for things and at each one I thought to myself, nothing here to really Yelp about. But then my iPhone fell out of my hand, shattered and I had to pay a visit to this little gem. And, so glad I did, because material for my review just presented itself. Gone are the boring reviews of the day...I now have something to say! Where to start...well, I walked in with my poor broken baby, the life line of my life, my pride and joy and told the salesman I had insurance on the phone, I needed a new one and when my contract was up for renewal in November, I would be looking at the 4S instead of the 4. After taking my information, the salesman replies that if I don't mind waiting a few seconds he would like to do some research to give me the best options. I like good options and I am a patient woman, so I say no problem and busy myself looking at all the pretty little devices! Eye candy! Yay! Back comes the salesman to explain my options. (Mind you, I have phone insurance for breakage, theft and loss so I know this should only cost me $199 in deductible) So, he says, option number one, is to replace my old phone immediately with a new 64G 4S at a lowly cost of $369 initially, with another $240 spread out over two years. What's with the $240 you ask? Well, it seems that this option requires me to get another line and I will be paying extra every month for that other line. Having a Sheila Broflovski "Wha-Wha-Whaaaat" moment yet? I sure as heck was! But the salesman explains, if I just cancel the insurance in favor of AppleCare (which I will admit I was considering anyways) I will save $240 over two years so that the extra fee will be a wash. Not really dude, because AppleCare has an annual fee that cancels out the savings, plus what is the point of the savings if I am just spending it on a new line! Duh!!!! I kindly decline and say I just want my replacement phone. So, then he says he can't help me with that and will provide me with an 800 number to call the insurance company. Thanks, dude. I call the insurance company from the store because if anything goes wrong I want to talk to a person, not that I expect any help at this point. Luckily, the insurance company is freaking great! Get this...I get an iPhone 4S as replacement because they don't have my model anymore and I get it overnight delivery to my home! All for the deductible only, a savings of $400+ over what the salesman wanted me to spend to get said iPhone 4S. Then, when I tell the sales people this, one of the salegirls says other customers have been offered the same upgrade by the insurance company because they typically no longer keep the other model in stock! Really, couldn't tell me that before offering me the almost $700 option for the upgraded 4S? The two stars are for the insurance company. I'd give them more but I don't want you to think I was impressed by the store. read more

Multiple issues... Latest: Ordered 5G Home Internet. Website promised no equipment fees, no surprises on bill. Yet the estimated next bill showed a charge of $60 for the equipment. They were never able to activate the line for that and I wasted 3 hours with a total of 3 on chat (transferring one to the next). Then I talked to 4 people on the phone, again one transferring to the next, but I had to explain the issue each time to the next agent and never had a resolution. So with the last person I cancelled the order. First issue: Brought my iPhone and Apple Watch from another carrier, and also my son's iPhone and Apple Watch over. That's 4 devices, gift cards of $500 for each iPhone and $100 for each Apple Watch. Got the gift cards for my iPhone and Apple Watch, but that's it because my son's phone broke and he needed a new phone with 60 days. So they said it invalidated the promotion yet the nowhere did I see that stipulation. However, he still has the same Apple Watch I brought over, but no gift card for that. So they advertised and promised a $100 gift card for his Apple Watch but didn't deliver. And you have to go through a live agent to use the gift card. read more

Well, I promise you, I am not just jumping on the bandwagon of bad reviews. It's just crazy that this store can't get it right. People like phones; this should be easy! I thought okay, I will pick a phone I like, sign my contract, and pay what I have to pay. It sounds pretty simple, right? The lady, and darn if I don't know her name because I immediately tore up her card when leaving the store, was helping my husband and I renew our contracts, pick a phone, etc. She asked what phone I wanted, and I said the Moto X. My husband is an Android developer and he had one, so I thought it would be nice to have him be able to explain stuff to me about it, blah, blah, I had my reasons. Anyways, she looks at me and says "Why do you want that phone?" (With attitude, mind you.) So, now I am put on the spot to explain my reasons, which I do. She then goes on and on persuading me to buy a different phone. I continue to justify my reasoning and eventually get flustered and leave. My question is, "WHY NOT JUST SELL ME THE PHONE I ASKED FOR THAT IS STOCKED AND SITTING ON YOUR SHELF?" Why did I have to have this lady's approval of what phone I chose? Well, obviously, my guess is that she gets a better commission, etc from the phone she was persuading me to buy. I will say, my husband went back a couple days later, because I really needed a phone! A young man helped him, and he had no issues or complaints. So kudos for that! There are GOOD employees at this store. It might be time to weed out the bad ones, though. read more

I did not realize there was a difference in Verizon stores--some are corporate and others are...? franchise? Don't know. But this store is not even affiliated with the one a few miles away on Whitestone and Bell. The only negative: when I upgraded my phone last month and signed a new 2 yr contract, I was offered the free tablet, the ellipsis 8. I knew there was a $10 monthly fee but did NOT know there was an activation fee. The woman who set this up did NOT make that clear. At all. Today: I am back in the store working with the amazing Alfred and manager Anthony. I had questions about my bill, our new upgrades, and other things and they were awesome. They removed that activation fee and helped me understand the billing issues and were so very very patient! Alfred spent nearly an hour with us knowing there was not going to be a sale involved. We also realized that some changes my husband had made by working with customer service via phone were no bueno. From now on we are ONLY working with this location and with Alfred Carpintero. read more

I have been a Verizon customer for nineteen straight years, since the summer of 2000, the year it started. I have been a very loyal customer with a business account during all those years. My monthly statement with them is around $200.00 per month. My company has seven lines with them and has never been late paying any invoices in 20 years. The Verizon office at 1455 Whitestone in Cedar Park, Texas had been a very productive, courteous, well-mannered operation. Recently I went to that store and was amazed by the rude manner in which many customers were being treated. All the original staff that had been there were gone and in their place was a group of people directed by their new manager Jesemiak (sp). All they wanted me to do was sit down and be quiet, but I was busy and needed to get my work done and leave. I was returning a new item, within a two week time frame, that had not worked (at my office). I was told it could be returned if it did not work and it was returned within 14 days. When I picked up this replacement for the jetpack that I had for ten years, I asked if I could return it - if it did not work. Jesemiak, the manager, said: "Yes no charge if returned with the 14 days." However, when I went in to return it, he told me there was a "$50.00 restocking fee." He had failed to tell me that part when I purchased it and he did not give me any paperwork at that time. He said they were now "paperless". However, after I found out about an unmentioned restocking fee, he then furnished me the paperwork through they were "paperless" seven days before. I told him he had not told me about a restocking fee, he said " Are you calling me a liar?" Just so rude. I said: No, but I know the truth as a 20 year customer. I do not know where that guy is from, but he is not from Texas. That is not the Verizon way or the Texas way. I am thinking about terminating with Verizon over this after nearly 20 years. I could not believe Verizon had gone downhill that bad. I then went to Sprint and got 100 GB and a new phone for just $89 - that is great and the people were so nice - like Verizon used to be. This is the first time I have ever written one of these reviews but I had to do it. That is my true story as the Good Lord is my witness. Amen. Amen. read more

My husband and I went to this Verizon on Sunday to purchase the new IPhone 8. I brought my old IPhone 6 with me and was telling Kyle, the young man who was assisting us, that I probably wouldn't be able to trade it in because the screen was broken. Kyle looked at it and saw that I had a screen protector on it and he said it probably wasn't broken. He took off the protector and sure enough the screen wasn't broken!! Whoo hoo! I got $150.00 to trade my old phone in. Kyle was so awesome and super helpful. My new phone is great and I am happy. I made sure I got a screen protector for this phone too. It was worth the extra cost. Thanks so much Kyle for making this a positive experience. Buying a new phone is a little stressful because they cost so much and you were great. read more

She deserves a gold star. Besides, being able to fix my phone problem, she was very friendly and kind, and that goes a long way especially these days. I switched to Verizon because I heard they have a better signal in the Cedar Park/Leander/Burnet area. So far that seems to be true. My complaint is with the customer service. Has to be the absolute worst of any phone carrier I have ever had. The promotion I used to sign up says in bright bold letters on the website *NO ACTIVATION FEE. Also the rep who signed me up notated my account that the activation fee was not applicable and if assessed it would be waived. Well it has been three weeks. Fee is still on my bill and everytime I call they try and negotiate with me. How about just half of your activation fee??? Seriously!!! Never been so disappointed with customer service. read more

Walked into the 1431 store a long time customer and asked for help because my phone was disable and asked the staff there for help. Some short stocky guy with no name tag asked if i needed help. I asked do you work here cause you have no name tag and i couldn't tell. he said "yes". I asked him to help me with my phone because it disabled on its own and the code i had used forever wasn't working. he looked back at his friends and turn back around and shrugged me off saying " sorry we cant help you because you need to go to the apple store i said why i bought the phone here, and I need you to fix my phone, now understand I have protection and everything else on my phone.I thought if talked to a manager that would help. unfortunately when i talk to the Manager Anthony he said he couldn't help either and that i would have to talk to apple. I was pretty upset and told him well if i cant get my phone fixed why should i pay for a phone that don't work and data and stuff. i told him you 1, you wont replace my phone 2. you wont let me file a claim without charging me $150.00 3 your staff doesn't even care to help a customer 4 you and your staff were incorrect about enabling a Iphone. I was able to do it myself with the proper help form tech support. 5 You only offered me to buy another I phone not fix the problem which shows you only out for your stores financial gain 6. One staff member immediately referred me to Apple without even trying and did not have a name tag on at all, I didn't even know if he worked there ! 7. Anthony was cocky and had no problem shrugging me off and even canceling my account if i wanted to! The only thing he offered me was to help me close my account, needless to say i have been going to the store on 1431 for years and have stayed with Verizon many many years. I was like he didn't care and the customer service of the staff and Anthony was for crap. I said "ok , give me the number to the corporate office and ill explain it to them how you and your staff would not help me" so he does that and gives me the number of 1-800-922-0204, which HE KNEW THAT VERIZON CORPORATE ONLY HAS A EMAIL AND NO CORPORATE NUMBER TO CONTACT AND THAT THEY HAVE ONLY A EMAIL FOR COMPLAINTS. So i call the number and they advise me that all store managers know the process and that he knew he was sending me to a Verizon Customer service in North Carolina. All the staff said you cant reset your Iphone unless you log into ITunes, ironically even though he said you have to have a ITunes account i was lucky and found a tech (Roy) that used to work for apple and he said logging onto I tunes is only required if you want to buy from the store and ROY was able to help me enable my phone , but the staff and Anthony did not care what happened to me and i will be calling his manager to let him know that. I sucked because i like having Verizon but was left to feel helpless and figure out on my own because Anthony and his staff. Some mangers think because their managers they can treat a customer in a demeaning way and intimidate them cause the are the last straw of help you will get and he offered very eagerly for me to switch to another provider. I was amazed that he had no thought of letting a loyal customer go and i am discusted how he handle things. Thats ok though because I phone and Verizon are good phone its just this staff and manager Anthony just do care and you can read the reviews and see that. This is why this store is rated only 2 stars overall ...wow that ok i rated them 1 star to help the cause! I normally like to give praise on Yelp and rarely give bad reviews but understand I had to battle this issue for 7 1/2 hours on the phone with that staff and multiple call backs si yes......i will have no problem in giving a very log detailed bad review if is deserved...all they had to do was try to help me get it resolved and they refused to!!! read more

The previous reviews are absolutely right about the "service" offered here. Lied to me about the cost of my plan & screwed up my account so bad it's taken several calls to other offices to fix it. AT&T never treated me this bad and that's saying something! Avoid this store! read more

Had a valid issue with a phone that Verizon tech support told me would be no problem having resolved at a Verizon store. Upon explaining the issue to the salesperson (no tech available) he was shaking his head "NO" before I even got one paragraph out. I have yelped before about the bad bad bad service I got from this company. I bought out of my contract a year ago. Glad to be done with it. Except, oops, I'm not. Even though I have not heard from them since my second request they send me a receipt/paid in full -- no bills for a year because I am paid in full -- last night I found an email, addressed to a nonprofit with which I am affiliated, billing me for more than $1600!!!! I am sending a letter with copies of the letters I sent a year ago, bills from them that include "early termination fee" and proof of payment. Wow! I hope this does it. "Customer Service" "statistics" on Verizon are conduct upon purchase, face to face with the person who sold you, and who is your only contact with the company. In short, those statistics are pure sham. Steer clear! read more
