Bomb! Found this place on Yelp when I was looking for good pizza in Houston. I called to place a to-go order - it was ready on time and they have afew spaces for takeout orders so it was a breeze. Staff was friendly & the meat lovers pizza was so good!! I got deep dish crust, highly recommend!! read more

This please is great. I've only been twice but each time the food was good and service was excellent.

service was great the server I got was amazing the pizza was a 10/10 best pizza for a reason I also got the mozzarella sticks they were a decent 7/10 I didn't get much of a cheese pull lol but the marinara sauce was fine as well and lastly we got the wings there is only one flavor which is buffalo which is fine with me and my family because we like spicy I just think they were to breaded but the wings were huge!8/10 in overall experience 9/10 restaurant was clean and so was the bathroom so will come again! read more

This is some of the best pizza I've ever had. I'm from Arkansas and it reminds me of home 5

This was my first trip here. This building once housed a BBQ restaurant that was a Pasadena institution. It was interesting to see how much the inside has changed. I ordered the meat lovers pizza with New York crust and wasn't disappointed! The crust was almost like a pastry and the meats were fresh and plentiful. I will totally be back! read more

I knew it!! As soon as I wrote a glowing review it'd come back to bite me! I reordered my favorite sandwich, the Philly Cheesesteak, and I was sadly disappointed. The kitchen staff didn't read any of my requests--I requested sautéed bell peppers and extra onions and mushrooms for my sandwich. Not only did the sandwich lack those items, it also lacked cheese. Usually the sandwich is filled with okey gooey cheese. Today it was more like an after thought. Very sadly disappointed. : ( read more

Spanky's Pizza - Burnt spinach and garlic pizza - Pizza Near Me - Pasadena, Texas

This place is great. Fast and super friendly service. We were seated immediately with out any issues. Wait time was no more than 20 min which is great when you have kids. The atmosphere and people made the experience worthwhile. The food came out piping hot and delicious to say the least. The pricing is very reasonable compared to the portion size you get. The staff were super attentive and repeatedly checked in with us. I recommend this place for both a grown up get together and a family lunch/ dinner. read more

Spankys has a cool ambience; family-friendly environment. The Stromboli Italian Club was "exquisite", the shrimp was "bomb", the pizza & salad were delicious & the pitchers of beer were ice cold. Our waitress, Alex, was very kind & patient with our big group of rowdy 9 year old boys. She kept a smile on her face & provided timely & efficient customer service. Check this place out! read more

Spanky's Pizza - 2 large 1 topping pizzas for $10.99 each - Pizza Near Me - Pasadena, Texas

Ordered Spanky's via Favor because even though it's a bit far from downtown, they had $0 delivery fee. I ordered a medium Super Duper pizza on original thin crust and tater kegs. The pizza was delicious. I like all kinds of crusts depending on my mood, and this day was a thin crust kind of day. It was so delicious! The sauce has great flavor, and the toppings were generous. This will be my thin-crust go to spot. I took away a star because the tater kegs are more like a mashed potato formed into a large tater-tot shape and fried. It's not like a big tater tot. I only ate one of them and tossed the rest. Just not a fan. I'm excited to add this into the rotation. It's really one of the best thin crust pizzas around. read more

I've been eating Spanky's pizza since the late 1970's and it's always been one of the best tasting pizzas in the area. Very unique, always consistently good food. But the only reason I'm writing an unfavorable review is because of the lack of customer service with their take out counter. We pretty much get pizzas to go every time lately because the waitstaff is hit or miss, but what should be an easy in and out order gets messed up every other time. The latest debacle...I order over the phone, showed up the requested 20 minutes later, paid for my order and was told it'll be right out. Five minutes later, they tell me the kitchen never got my order because the printer went out. They finally starting make it and the "kitchen manager" came out for what I thought was going to be at least an apology for once again making a front-line mistake on my order. No apology or admission that they messed up. All she said was "It's not our fault...it's Technology", and walked away. There's really no response to that. I waited for my sub-par pizza because they rushed it through the process and went home. I'll probably keep ordering pizza from them because it's so darn good, but I guess this is the world we live in today. So many people take no pride or ownership in what they do, especially in a food service career. Good customer service is just as important as the good food you serve. read more

My boyfriend and I have been waiting MONTHS for the Spanky's in Pasadena to open! We finally made it there for lunch on Wednesday. I figured it was going to be packed so I asked my boyfriend to get there early to get us a table. But he was seated right away. I had just left work so it took me about 30 mins to get there. But he was OK with that. He had a couple of beers while he waited. We started out with some fried pickles. They are addictive. These were really good but greasy. Of course we ate them all! So the grease didn't bother us too much. Next we decided to split a small pepperoni and sausage thin crust pizza. It was DELICIOUS!! It tasted just like the other Spanky's. I mentioned in my previous review of the original Spanky's that my boyfriend has become so spoiled ever since I introduced him to Spanky's. It's his favorite pizza now. No other pizza place compares in his eyes! Our server Josh was AWESOME!! He was very nice and attentive. He took good care of my boyfriend while he waited for me to arrive. He made sure to check on him frequently but not too much. He was very friendly. He said this was his first job as a server which was surprising since he was so great! Thank you for your excellent service Josh!! The interior was nicely decorated. It was clean, bright and spacious inside. I especially loved all the beautiful hanging lamps. We'll definitely be back again and again and again! We LOVE Spanky's Pizza!! read more

First time having Spanky's and it was soooooo good!! Our server aaliyah took great care of us too, ask for her!

Worse service! I've enjoyed eating at Spankys for many years. Tonight I ordered a Greek salad with our pizza, couldn't even eat it! It was soaked in dressing and it was so sour! I told our server, not to get credit for it, but so she could make the kitchen aware. She said that's how the Greek salad is. I let her know that I've had it many times and never like this, and her response was, "But have you had it here!"...Terrible!!!! read more

Spanky's Pizza - Pizza Near Me - Pasadena, Texas

My friends had made spankys a go-to for homemade pizza, so we figured we'd hit it up while I was in town for the weekend. The atmosphere is similar to any newer built bar and grill. Very clean establishment, bathrooms, etc. The food was decent, but nothing to rave about. My buddy and I split a 10inch deep dish, which is actually just a pan pizza. What bothered me was the fact that my buddy was vegetarian and I wanted supreme, so we both asked for the pizza to be half-and-half only to be served a pizza that had meat all over it. The sauce is really what shines in this pizza because it has a slight acidity that goes well with the spicy red pepper flakes cooked in, which is why I got extra marinara on the side. The toppings are typical pizza hut, dominos, or papa johns quality, so I would stick to simplicity. Overall, I would look for another pizza place before coming back. read more

If you went and did not have the pleasure of having Rachel as your server you have to go back! I don't even write reviews but that was the absolute best service I have gotten in any establishment! She gave me my food in such a good amount of time she was always smiling even with such a big table she had to serve. She accommodated my whole family with no problem. I would've tipped her a million dollars if I could. I didn't even have to ask for refills! So again if Rachel wasn't your server you absolutely missed out! read more

We decided to give them a try since we had a coupon and wanted pizza tonight. We waited over 10 minutes to be greeted by our server. We got our appetizer before even getting anything to drink. Anything we asked for took annoyingly too long to get. Our food came out wrong. We asked for bartender to make change for a $20, she seemed annoyed that she had to go out of her way. I am myself a server and have been for years. I actually worked here many years ago when it was Gabby's Bbq for 5 years. I won't be going back due to the very poor service. For a server to leave such a poor review, THAT SPEAKS VOLUMES!!! read more

Perfect pizza to be trapped in an elevator with your date...we both awaited our fate calmly with the spinach, garlic, and bacon thin crust za...it was exactly the kind of pizza that I would be ok with it being potentially the last pizza I would ever eat as we plummeted three floors to our deaths...possibly. However, after polishing about half the pizza off, the elevator slowly moved back down to the first floor...we took the stairs with the other half... Great Pizza!!! read more

Being in the mood for pizza, I went to Spanky's tonight. I had read good things about the original Spanky's and wanted to try it. Sadly, I need to rate my veggie, thin crust pizza with only one star. I ordered the pizza for take out tonight, and picked it up 20 minutes after I ordered it. The pizza smelled good in the car but when I opened the box, the pizza was undercooked and doughy! The crust wasn't even brown. No care was given to cooking my pizza properly. And even if it had been thoroughly cooked, the crust had no flavor. I should also add that the pizza was expensive, for what it was. $19 for a medium veggie pizza is too much. Since I was staying in a hotel near the airport, it was too much trouble to drive all the way back to Spanky's and complain. So I just picked the toppings off and left the crust. The pizza chef should have seen that the crust was too pale and left the pizza in the oven for at least a few more minutes. It was clear that it was not baked through. Spanky's needs to do better quality control on their items. And do some refresher training in the kitchen! read more

Went to visit a friend in Texas and I must say, this is some of the best pizza I've had. Plus, the service was great. Southern hospitality really is something we don't get in California where I'm from. We ordered potato skins which were really good, even though I'm not a fan of bacon. Had a large hand made crust pizza with jalapeños, pepperoni, and pineapple and it was DELICIOUS! The crust was amazing too! I will definitely go back next time I'm in Texas. read more

Ordered a custom thin crust, extra crispy, Alfredo pizza with pepperoni on all of it and half with pineapple, jalapeño, and garlic. It was close to thirty dollars for the largest size. The pizza wasn't extra crispy. It was cooked the way a normal pizza would have been. I didn't care for the flavor of Alfredo sauce or the crust. The crust is very bland. It also seemed more like hand tossed not thin like I requested. I won't eat there again. Honestly I've eaten some better tasting Little Caesar's pizza. read more

Years ago I went to the original Spanky's off I45 and was unimpressed. I've had a hankering for pizza, and honestly, since I've cut out animal products people have a hard time making a pizza without cheese. Come on people, same idea just no cheese! Anyway, after trying most of the pizza places in the area, I decided to try Spanky's. I ordered the Veggie Pizza with New York style crust. The husband ordered a Hawaiian, and the ever non-adventurous daughters got cheese sticks with a cheese pizza. First thing, this was NOT a New York style crust. At. All. I wanted a thin crust that I could fold over. This was not that. It was a regular crust. It was delicious, and I liked it, but I want d a thin New York style crust. Next time I'll get the thin crust and hope it doesn't turn out like a cracker. Second, why it why do I need an inch of toppings? Do they feel they need to compensate for the lack of cheese, or do they just overload the pizza? (This is a common problem I've found since adopting a plant-based diet, btw). Now, those criticisms aside, the pizza really was delicious. No, it wasn't what I wanted, but it was a learning experience. The crust was good, crunchy yet soft in the right ways. The toppings were fresh and tasty. My daughters didn't use the marinara with the cheese sticks, so I took advantage of that and dipped my very normal and normal all New York style crust in it. I enjoyed the pizza, so there will be a return visit to Spanky's. Now I know. Thin crust. No cheese. Light on the veggies. Then cross my fingers and hope for the best. read more

In the era of COVID-19, where most restaurants won't even survive, this restaurant definitely should not. We drove over 30 mins to eat here based on a friend's recommendation. BIG mistake! From the moment we walked in to be seated, we were ignored by countless rude waitresses that looked at us but never acknowledged us. A waitress actually stared at us from the kitchen for over three minutes and never signaled to anyone that we were waiting to be seated. The experience went downhill hill from there. The next waitress to actually come seat us did not do so until other guests arrived. She then threw some silverware on a table and said we could sit there, no apology for the wait or anything. We asked if we could be seated at a booth and she walked off stating that the booth was for someone else. We left. The pizza here may be good but the service is Awful!! There are simply too many restaurants in Houston where your business is likely to be appreciated for anyone to go here and be treated like this. Avoid this location like you are trying to avoid COVID-19. read more

Spanky's always hits the spot! If you want to come stuff your face with a pizza or simply just grab a drink with a friend and eat some fried pickles this is the place for you. Kind, efficient staff. Servers are very attentive and informative. Clean establishment. I love cheese and if you love cheese, well you're going to be crying of how much cheese is packed in the pizza because its like the holy grail. The Best Pizza!!! We were greeted by nice smiling faces ready to seat us. We had the BBQ Pizza and it was nice, juicy, and plenty of crunchy crust. Jose was our server and he was very pleasant.
