A few of my girlfriends and I were in need of a good vibe with a view and decided to checkout Spaceman. Located inside of The Hyatt Centric Buckhead, this cute spot is a must-try for a fun night out. Upon arrival you have the option of self-parking in the garage across the street from the hotel or opting to pay valet a few bucks more. I'm always up for convenience so I went with valet and the valet guys were lovely. Located on the top floor, the elevator wasn't too far from the front door but I had a chance to peek at the hotel interior and it was gorgeous. When I got upstairs, I saw that Spaceman was just as beautiful. Because we had reservations we were quickly seated at our table on the terrace. We reserved a 4-top but one of the seats was a beanbag. Such a cute concept BUT, not so much when you're in high heels and a dress lol. Luckily, the host was kind enough to replace the cushion with a chair so I didn't fall back and over the edge. (Maybe I'm a little dramatic) The terrace was gorgeous! It wasn't a huge space but they did have three rows of seating, plus a smaller bar/prep area and it still seemed to flow well. The views were amazing! Megan was our waitress and she was great from start to finish. We all opted for different cocktails including a mojito, a Cosmo, a p**nstar martini, and the summer cocktail special that included vodka, guava, banana flavors and some other delicious stuff. They were all phenomenal! We decided to for lighter bites including the tuna tartare, wings and truffle fries. Again, everything was delicious. The tuna tartare was presented inside of an avocado shell, which was a new one for me. It was filled with fresh, flavorful tuna and paired well with the wonton chips. Made a reservation for an indoor table for a Saturday night. When we showed up, they had changed us to outside uncovered! Despite the threat of thunderstorms in the area. The food is good, so are the drinks. Nikki waa our server, and while it took her a while to come with waters, she was really attentive after we placed our orders. The website is not accurate! Located at the top of the Hyatt centric hotel near Lennox mall I recommend placing a reservation if you're not a guest of the hotel or you may not be allowed up there is inside dining and outside patio terrace seating available first come first served out reservation priority. Nice DJ. AND ATMOSPHERE MOST NIGHTS. The music sets the tone. The bartenders are experienced and generous so make sure you tip and take care of them. The kitchen closes around 11-12 depending on night and crowd maybe. Menu is sorta tapas style so feel free to order more to share. A good will be had depending on your party. Attended for their weekly The Buckhead Social after-work professionals event. Free with RSVP and complimentary valet for ladies before 7 PM. I arrived around 6:30 PM and found it pretty empty. By 8:00 PM it was packed! The atmosphere is very chic and cozy. Lots of sofa seating, booths and some high top tables. The bartenders were very friendly and helpful. I ordered the Summer Madness that was amazing. I stuck to that all evening. I didn't get any food but saw a few orders which looked delicious. The highlight - the DJ. DJ Supreme and DJ Suga Shae were great mix masters. They kept the vibes going and didn't miss a beat from old school R&B, Hip Hop, some Soca, Reggae and Afro Beats. I'll have to come back for a full experience, but a few friends and I stopped by for a late cocktail last weekend. The ambiance is nice, but honestly, they need to tighten up how they manage getting people up to the rooftop. Maybe I feel this way because Moonlight is more polished and organized in comparison. If I were a guest at the hotel, I'd probably be annoyed by the crowd in the lobby--lots of people loitering and clearly tipsy. Just being real. That said, the rooftop itself is decorated nicely and has a good selection of drinks and small bites. It wasn't too crowded when we arrived (about an hour and a half before closing), but I've heard it can get packed--which is kind of a turnoff for a spot like this. Also... they seriously need a better DJ. I love Rap/Hip-Hop, but the music didn't really match the vibe of the space. Oh--and heads up on parking. I didn't drive, but my friends did. They were bold and just said "forget it" and parked in the mall garage. We made it back just in time--literally saw the tow truck pulling in as we drove off. The food was amazing my friend ordered the Wagyu sliders and crab Rangoon dip and I ordered the truffle fries and a French 75. She ordered a drink that taste like a banana Laffy taffy (affirming). We sat on the covered patio and enjoyed r & b jams, a perfect balmy mid-September breeze and delicious drinks, I had the Summer Madness, perfection! I ordered a $22 Old Fashioned and was served a drink with standard ice cubes instead of a whiskey cube, which is typically expected for this cocktail. My husband and I went to spaceman on Saturday evening. The place is super cute, the view on the patio looking out to the city is magnificent. Our server was Megan. She was nice-ish. There was a drink on the menu that I wanted to try but she said they didn't have it because they were out of an ingredient. Wanting to experience a rooftop bar, my friends and I were excited to find this place. They have a strategic set up where you can order your drink at the bar but have an already set up lounge area over looking the skyline. We got their Twilight serenade, Bangkok comet, and old fashioned. We all happily enjoyed our drinks while benefiting from the beautiful draft and their comfortable chairs. Only thing was the cushions held on to some moisture from the rain on the prior days. Staff were nice so we could love to come again. I have come here so many times but the service has been extremely decreasing. This last time was supposed to be professional Wednesday but it was mostly empty. I paid $68 for wings, fries and 1 overly sweetened drink. The wings were dry, the fries were decent and the drink was too sweet. Our server was unnecessarily loud, pushy and hard to find at times, even though the place wasn't packed. It was only 2 of us but she said she could only give 1 check and we need to tell her how much she should deduct from each card. Ambiance was great! Music was great on a Saturday from 6-8 p.m. The food came fast and service was good. Shrimp tacos were okay. Valet parking was $25+ tip. I didnt like that our check was combined with the table next to us. There was a party, but we didn't know the people next to us. This is a true rooftop patio, great views. The food and drinks were tasty. The service and ambiance were lackluster. There are big screen tvs that have sports playing which really don't fit the grown and sexy vibe. The large fans were on turbo which made it a bit uncomfortable to sit under. Lastly the service...we had an 8:45pm reservation on a Sunday, reservation should've been two hours. The website says they are open until 11pm. At no point during our 8:45 reservation did anyone let us know they were closing an hour early. The staff literally started collecting the table lights, closing the patio off and didn't tell any of the guests. We were trying to order a cocktail and a server literally took our light. We had to stop a random staff member and inquire about their closing time and only at that point did they let us know it was last call. Our server wasn't very personable, she literally clumsily jumped over an ottoman to get to our table. Last thing to note, you have to pay for parking across the street and it's quite a jaunt in heels. Do not park at the mall...they will tow. This was not the best experience. read more

I fear it didn't stand a chance. Devoured it. Drinks 5/5 I had the Pluto drink, a beer. The beer is just a beer lol but the drink was tasty! Final Verdict 5/5 Lord Wellington Approved! Highly recommend making a reservation to ensure you have a space for your party to sit while you're there. I attended Spaceman's professional night and had an amazing experience! The rooftop is situated at the Hyatt Centric-Buckhead. The vibe was immediate as soon as we stepped off the elevator. There are three sections where you can stroll around with seating options. While reservations aren't available on Wednesdays, luck was on our side as we managed to find a table. For me, it was refreshing to be in an atmosphere where people were mingling and having a good time. There's a touch of vibrancy and sophistication here, with the DJ spinning tunes to keep the energy high. It was raining that night, so we weren't able to step out onto the outside terrace. Hopefully next time we'll get to enjoy the view of the city skyline. I'm a mocktail girly, and the bartender was able to craft me a drink that was so tasty! They serve tapas-style food. I believe I missed out on the other side of the roof top that I see pictured. The place where I sat was an awkward barstool next to a table. This seating was strategically centered between the corner speaker and the left portion of a TV playing sports. If you do make a reservation I would choose the couch seating or something at the bar. Spaceman rooftop is a beautiful rooftop and gem for local Atl bar and vibe enthusiasts. I visited here on a Saturday night to meet friends and family, and it was easy to find parking, and the lobby concierge welcomes you in on where to go. The bar is beautiful against the backdrop of downtown atl's skyline and the rooftop is quant with various spots to sit/or stand and dance. After 10pm, It was a nice crew- not terribly crowded but definitely busy. We were still able to get a pair of seats at the bar and a spot outside. We had cocktails and were satisfied after 1-2. A lot can improve about this place. In my opinion it doesn't stand as an individual business, it operates out of the side of a hotel and any type of drink you get is poorly made and filled with ice. The food is "Mediterranean?" I'm questioning that because it just seems like they don't even cook real food here. Small portions and little things to snack on. She actually told us to move to where the servers were and wait until she was free. Fortunately a nice group of ladies witnessed the interaction and offered to order for us since the bartender seemed unbothered. Strange. It is incredibly challenging to find a seat/table. Reservations are a must in the evening. Be mindful It's one of those locations that wants you to buy bottle service before they'll grant a reservation online. Wow, what a hidden gem! We were eating not far from here and wanted to enjoy a bar after dinner. This hotel rooftop bar is very nice. It was packed but we weren't uncomfortable. I believe they take reservations for some tables and then other seating is first come first serve. We found a few seats right in front of the windows facing the expressway. The views were amazing. Our drinks were great. We had a couple of rounds and both were good. They have an outdoor patio but it was reserved for a party and then it started raining.
