This is SUCH a cool and fun store! If you like anime, comics and other geeky stuff you will love it in here. This place has an extensive collection of Star Wars, Legos, different comic books, sci-fi novels, Pokemon and a small manga collection. I had fun walking around looking at the retro Star Wars toys (original ones) and the cool Legos sets. This place is a sci-fi geek's paradise. The lady who owns this place is so friendly and helpful. No one pushes you to buy anything and you can look around as long as you want. If you have a sci-fi or manga interest that they don't carry here they will try to locate it for you. They even have local artists you can commission work from such as paintings. It's nice to do this for local people. I am so glad i came here. I love this place and I know I will be back. One of the better comic and collectable locations in the north Houston area. They offer a lot of vintage toy variety both new and used. The comics are very well organized by publisher with up to date on new releases. The staff is very friendly and helpful with any questions you may have. Not only that, but they seem well informed on most of the hobbies they carry. They also have an integrated coupon system in their register system where if I remember correctly every 10 purchases you get a coupon. I have used their comic hold system and it is very reliable when you go to pick up your haul. I had to cancel my comic subscription because I moved further away, but my wife and I stop here every so often when we are in the area. Would highly recommend this location. The hold events on occasion and have heard they are fun, but have never attended. read more

Ah yes, Space Cadets Collection Collection: I have found my new favourite store! Nestled in a quiet neighbourhood near The Woodlands sits this quaint little store. Outside, in huge letters were written "Pokemon" and thus, I went inside! And man, what a selection! An entire section devoted to Pokemon! There were plushies, games, cards, and just about everything you could want as a Pokemon Collector! They also had an awesome comic book selection as well as other geeky toys such as Star Wars, and other things. And if they don't have it, they'll see if they can find it for you! Fantastic new store. I think the best thing a comic book store can do to help itself is to be child friendly. After this happens the warm and welcome feelings just come right along with it. This store has all that in spades! They don't try to nickel and dime you on things like bags and boards, plus they offer a discount on pull lists. My long time local store is right around the corner from me but I've still found myself coming back here a few times since they have opened. I have not been in to see their arcade games, but I very much look forward to this, and at $0.25 each game, you can't lose. read more

I have been going to space cadets for a little over 2 years and I'm happy to see the awesome establishment grow bigger and even have a nice cafe to enjoy reading a comic and have a nice meal to go along with it. This place has the friendliest staff you will ever meet! The owners are wonderful, caring people who do their best to make this a fun AND family friendly place. There is almost always some group hanging out playing some sort of game. Their comic book selection is good, and they do a lot of silent auctions on collector pieces. They also have a large toy/import/vintage selection! Their attached cafe, the Lava Cookie is a great addition to a comic book shop! The food is not much better than something you'd grab out of your own refrigerator, but it is very cheap and quick, so if you don't want to leave to find food it's great to have! Definitely the best comic book/game shop in the spring/woodlands area. read more

While out of town, I stumbled upon this gem of a collectibles store. I spent nearly an hour browsing the inventory, reminiscing my youth. Have to be careful with not spending too much time here (becomes very quick to get in here for much longer than anticipated). Always able to find something we are looking for. A very large selection of collectibles, this place is filled to the brim with toys and comics. My only suggestion is to add more (and reorder) D&D miniatures, however I do appreciate how well organized they were. I've never seen Bones or Reaper miniatures that well organized. Unfortunately I didn't see any of the new unpainted Wizkids figures. And no dice? I know this store isn't geared toward D&D but it would be nice to see more of it. I could have missed it, but it was a lot to take in. Nobody followed me around the store or acted rude like other gaming stores nearby. I will definitely be back. read more

My wife and I travel all over east Texas searching comic shops, markets and antique malls for comics and comic related merchandise. So needless to say we are not noobs in any manner. We found this shop a month or so ago thru google searches. The first and only visit the staff was rude to us. The owner was the one running the shop. She was rude to us when we asked about where comics were in the shop since this was or first trip to this store and comics were rather scattered in four different areas. After looking we did find some good old comics, which I give that to them. They do have a good inventory. BUT, I later found out while trying to purchase over $200 in comics that nearly all of their comic inventory was on consignment. Upon asking if the prices on some rather expensive comics were somewhat negotiable, the owner bit my head off and proclaimed that absolutely no comics they sell are negotiable. They have a Lego play area in the corner of this shop, and some seating areas. My son was playing with Legos they already had out on the play table. He dropped one on the floor and an employee immediately ran over, tried to scold my son for what she claimed was "scattering the toys". I let it slide and picked up the one Lego he had dropped and placed it back on the table. Not two minutes later, the same employee yells across the store at my son who had only a Lego in his hand, he's only 4, to "keep it with the rest of them and not to lose them or get germs on them". I subsequently told her to mind her own business and that if she didn't want children playing with the Legos, then why have them out already scattered on the playing table. I became aggravated with the owner and employees, and decided I'd just pay for what I had in my hands and we would leave. As I tried to pay, I stood at the counter for at least 5 minutes while one of the grown male employees was himself gluing Legos together behind the counter. He just stood there, five feet from me and totally ignored us at the register. I finally spoke up and said, "I'm ready to check out." He then acted annoyed that I had stopped him in the middle of his Lego building so I could pay for the over $200 in comics I had in my hands. Bottom line. They didn't seem to like having children in their shop. They seemed very annoyed with our 4 year old son just being in their shop even though he never once acted up. The staff is terrible and seem very displeased when they had to leave their little Lego group to actually help customers. We've been in many many comic shops and this is THE WORST shop we have ever been too. The people actually act like they do not want you there. They haves many good books but I will refuse to give my hard earned money to owners of a shop such as this. read more

I visited the store for the 1st time to do some holiday shopping. I chatted with the cashier and told him that I was buying a gift for my brother in law and that I was going to buy 2 games with the intent to return one, because I didn't know which ones he did and did not have. A few days later, I found out that my brother in law did have one of the games, so I brought my receipt and completely unopened game back to the store. When I got there, I was informed that the store wouldn't take it back because they were a "No returns store", and the manager / owner informed me "There's a big sign". It's funny, because I didn't notice a "big sign". Maybe I was excited to look at the merchandise and maybe I didn't notice because the environment is very very cluttered. Either way, not taking a clearly unopened package was the poorest customer service ever. Further, considering that I chatted with the staff about my intentions, they could have alerted me before I made the purchase. I won't be going back. read more
