Awesome place, helpful staff, solid prices, and welcoming atmosphere. My wife and I bought Netrunner, a 2-player card game, after Dennis's recommendation. Not only did he help us setup the game at one of the tables, but he thoroughly explained the intricacies of the game and answered many of our questions. Furthermore, he brought out playing mats for the game and pointed out nuances to help engage us more in the game. While we were learning the game, there were tons of other game-enthusiasts playing a variety of games. This place is awesome - highly recommend for anyone into games of all kinds or comic books.

Stopped by the other day and met Andrew, Eric and Jen, lots of great people. Thanks for making me feel welcome. I look forward to spending both my time and money there. This is a small yet friendly game store which is trying to cater to comics, rpg, wargamers, xbox and many more. Its very diverse, yet if you want something special ordered or included in their regular order simply ask or email ahead of time and they'll work with you. They've got plenty of hobbies that might interest you including warhammer fantasy and 40k, flames of war, and a lil warmachine/hordes. They've also got plenty of RPGs that might tickle your interest like pathfinder, dark nova, and a new one called: New Gods of Mankind. They're heavily into Magic the Gathering and have a large community. Additionally, they have set aside a part of the store for hobby work so you can have some room to work on projects at.

What a nostalgic spot - nestled in a somewhat busy plaza right off the feeder of I-45N & 242 in…read moreShenandoah! Cute, quaint, and filled to the brim with comics and more! I recently stopped by here with my boys after having some services done at the salons next door and am SO glad we decided to pop in! From the moment you open the door - the smell of comics (and even my own childhood!) consume you. There is SO much to see and look for - it's easy to spend the whole day inside and potentially go broke. My kids gravitated right to the youth section, which was aptly positioned right near the entrance (I say aptly, because once you venture in a bit more, you do have to pass by the more "adult" side of the comic world), and immediately found a few new additions to their at-home library! As if that wasn't enough to reel one in, they even sat down to indulge in a few chess moves. ;) Of course, finding all the nostalgia and collectibles further toward the back of the store was icing on the cake. There were several aisles of toys and figures - pop culture and more! - should that tickle your comic book-loving fancy. Just don't say I didn't warn you! I love that the staff welcomed the kids and engaged with them. The two young(er) folks working that day were super knowledgeable and well-versed in the comic book world and I am here for it. They took time to share all about the store, the programs and clubs of times past - here's to hoping they come back!! - and offered a much needed welcome to the comic book kids of today in this area. If I'm being honest, it made for a great first-time visitor experience. Overall, I highly recommend stopping by and for the life of me, am still scratching my head to understand why we've not stopped in sooner! There's so few stores of this magnitude on this side of town - and it's worth it. Definitely a go-to on my list of my kids' favorite spots...

Have been going to Space Cadets since highschool. While I no longer live in Texas in my most recent…read moretrip back to Texas I decided to cave for some nostalgia. Now in a new, well lit location; with staff just as friendly as they always have been. The selection is slightly different than it was but 5 years change does that haha. More anime figures a bigger comics and huge manga selection as well as a nice pokemon card selection and some miscellaneous anime and comics merch. Will forever love this place. Miss their selection of random bags of pokemon toys that if memory had served me correctly was because they had a friend who was a pilot who would go to japanese thrift stores to sell things in the store here? unsure if they still do it, couldn't find my beloved baggies of little pokemon toys but thats okay. Look forwards to being a regular here again when I move back.
