My best friend and I booked our full spa package on Saturday for Monday as a birthday treat for ourselves. We found parking quickly. The Manager greeted us as we walked in and we went right up and began our FACIAL and MASSAGE. The aesthetician that did our facials was PHENOMENAL and very knowledgeable. We had different massage therapists and we both were happy with them. Then we went down stairs and got the SPA PEDICURE and MANICURE which was well worth every penny!! We spent about 4 hours there and the ladies even fed the parking meter for us so we didn't have to interrupt our day. Spa Logic is great! This was my second time going there (using a Groupon deal), and all four of the services (facial, massage, manicure, pedicure) were amazing! Anne Marie did my facial and she was kind, efficient, knowledgeable (she actually took some time to educate, which not all aestheticians bother to do), and my face felt great afterwards. Donna did my massage, and she really worked to focus on my trouble areas and all the knots I have from sitting at a desk all day while sheltering at home, and recommended some stretches for me to do so my muscles don't get so tight from hanging out in my apartment all day. She was very friendly and has a wealth of experience in the clinical setting so it felt like she really was familiar with what she was doing. I don't remember the name of my nail technician, but I'm in love with my manicure and pedicure. I was wondering how they were going to practice safe social distancing with such intimate procedures but I felt comfortable the entire time - I wore a mask when I needed to, took it off when I had to (for the facial and face down in the massage), but everyone else was compliant and they had the separation plastic barriers between people in the nail area which I appreciated - I'm definitely planning to come back to see everyone soon! read more

They serve wine and water, which is a plus for me as I usually need a wind down after work. I've been getting my nails done here since summer. They do a REALLY nice job on gel manicures. They go for 35, which is expensive for that area, but I'm always impressed. Thin careful coats that last for 2-3 weeks. Pedicures are nice too. Technicians are sassy and honest and I like it! read more

This review is for a basic cut (including shampoo and blowdry) for which I paid $45 plus tip (on the value of the Gilt deal I used, listed as $75). Overall, this salon offers a great value for the price. They offered me a mimosa when I arrived, everyone was kind and accommodating, and the price is very fair for DC. However, I am not particularly pleased with my haircut and I thought my comments might help other new patrons have a better experience. Upon arriving, an assistant immediately whisked me off for a shampoo (which was great and very relaxing--high praise for this aspect). But, there was no consult beforehand and no time to explain my hair and what I wanted. I wish I had spoken up and taken more time to help my stylist understand what I needed, but that's also the stylist's responsibility to her customer. I ended up with something that didn't resemble what I had described (and shown with photos) and doesn't suit my super straight hair that is prone to frizzing and flipping out in unflattering directions when layered too much and too short. Overall, if you're looking for a high-concept cut or a drastic change, MyLy was very talented and clearly passionate about her work. But if you're looking for someone to listen to you and help you resolve your hair issues, this might not be the place for you. read more

I went there with their Groupon special - facial, massage, mani-pedi, and a glass of wine. I tacked on a hair-cut and highlights to take advantage of the 15% off additional services special. So I basically spent close to 6 hours in the place. And it was great. From the very beginning, when I walked in, to the end, everyone was incredibly friendly and helpful. I had a facial with Sadie who made me realize the power of the face massage. It was obvious she enjoyed her job and the facial left my face feeling clean and glowing. I then had an acupressure massage and foot reflexology with Jin who was lovely. I picked the strong massage but she was willing to re-adjust as necessary whenever I wanted it. My feet never wanted the massage to end. Cindy did my mani-pedi and spent a good amount of time making sure I got what I wanted. And finally, my hair. MyLy was amazing! She spent over two hours with me, making sure my hair looked the way I wanted and making sure the color was what I liked. One thing that I appreciated was that there was no hard sell for products or services. Everyone was really chill and I never felt rushed or pressured. I will definately be back. read more

I got the mani/pedi, massage, and facial package and couldn't be more happy with the service. The massage was amazing! Jin really worked out all my knots. I loved the massage because she applied deep pressure (like I asked) the entire time and really cared about getting all my knots out. The facial was absolutely amazing!! I loved the organic product line. I especially loved how I practically got massaged the entire facial :) The mani/pedi was awesome too. I went to the spa on Monday with a groupon deal. Sedi gave a wonderful, relaxing facial. Her facial/neck massage put me to sleep! And her products left my skin soft and touchable. Monica's full body massage was very relaxing. When it came time to do the feet, they first soaked them in warm water. I got a mani and pedi, as well, but did not get her name. I bought a package for mother's day, for my wife a d her friend. It took close to about 30 minutes to book it. Mostly because it seems that they are understaffed. At first the person that assisted me did not know about the package that was advertised on their website. Excuse number one, "I just got back from vacation". I asked that they get a couple's massage which he was nice enough to make that happen. Only that when they got there, after being asked multiple times for their names, they said that they will get the massage at different times. After my wife and her friend insisted that I booked a couple's massage, they were able to accommodate. My wife was telling me how terrible her massage was and that it was mostly a soft rub on her back and that at one point with no prior warning, the masseuse, started pulling on her hair. My wife said she felt "like I was on candid camera and someone was making fun of me." Both were Sweedish massages and according to the girls, they both received different massages. The facial which was advertised at 50 minutes, according to them, took close to a little over 30 minutes. When they got home, I received a phone call from the spa. I guess my wife complained about the bad services and they called back to offer an explanation. Greatly appreciated but it did not make much sense to me. First to the hair pulling part, I was told that the masseuse thought that my wife's neck was too sense and she applied a complimentary Thai massage, which I guess it involves pulling your hair back. She was never told anything. Because of the "tight neck" she concentrated more on that than on her feet or legs. Also the facial, they claim that the timer starts once your massage is over, because that package I bought was for a total of 3 hours. That includes a manicure/pedicure. My reply to that was "well, your add is a bit missleading" if you say is a 50 minutes facial, then make it 50 minutes" It seems that the prep time it takes to get a person ready for the facial, is part of those 50 minutes. I would like to add that this was a their 3rd time they went there and the previous times they were very happy with everything. Honestly not sure what happened this time. They will never go back to this place. They did offer an apology but I think it was not enough for ruining the experience. read more

I go all the time for nails, waxing and spray tans and even brought my boyfriend to get his hair cut there. Today I went in for a gel manicure, regular pedicure and to get a tip on ONE broken nail. I told the man doing my nails this. I go to check out two hours later and he tells me I owe $98. I was baffled because I've never paid more than $75 for these services and asked for clarification. He claimed that he put a full set of acrylic cream, which I assumed was a new base coat of some sort, as he was putting it on me -otherwise I would've questioned this. He then said he didn't understand what I had asked for sorry but I had to pay up. The woman who also worked there overheard and told me if I was unhappy she would cut all my nails off... !!!! So I paid the $98 and went to talk to the manager who claimed that the only solution to get money back for this "little miscommunication," as she called it, was to go downstairs after the two previous hours I spent there and have them cut off these "acrylics" and redo them all completely. This is obviously a ridiculous solution that nobody would agree to since I wanted to obviously get out of this place as soon as possible. They ripped me off and pretended to misunderstand me to my face in order to get me to pay $100 for a gel manicure and pedicure. At the end, I was offered 10% off my next service - as if I'd ever step foot in that horrid place again. Don't come here unless you want to be uncharged and forced to pay it or they will "cut all your nails off." read more

I had the groupon "spa day" deal- and I really enjoyed my visit. Everyone was super attentive, from the greeter at the door, to each person leading me from one area to the next, they seem to take pride in their work and their smiles are infectious. The facial was nice with Sayde, it was of course painful and relaxing all in one hour. The massage with Monica was different, as it was fully clothed in a leather lazy boy recliner that was layed out in a flat bed (it really wasn't but that's how it looked), it was nice and relaxing until a woman came in to get a massage two chairs over and her and her masseuse couldn't stop chatting and snickering- it really took away from the ambiance and I kind of wish my masseuse would have said something, but nevertheless still a good massage. My manicure and pedicure with Kathy was really nice, she was super sweet and I enjoyed chatting with her while she painted my nails- she was genuinely interested in speaking with me and made me feel very comfortable. A few days later I ended up getting a haircut/stle here with Tracey who was just as friendly and accomodating as the rest. I would definitely recommend visiting this place (and these women!) if you need any of the above treatments, it's a nice place to come and take a load off. read more

I have been here twice for a hair cut, a treatment, a trim, color, for gel nails and it is by far the best customer service experience I have had in DC altogether. I love that the moment you come in you are made to feel welcome and they truly address your needs. I was asked what issues I have with my hair and was given a few options to maintain it but was not pressured into buying anything, instead I was given a sample to try and later decided to buy it. The people that work there are super friendly and I can go on forever about this but I really left that place feeling like I spoiled myself! The people there are very professional and experienced. I have been going to Zen, the lead stylist and part owner of Spa Logic, for more than 6 years. I followed her through 3 different salons and now that she has landed here and built her own space - I couldn't be happier for her. She is incredibly good at what she does, has a keen eye for customer service, will talk or not talk - whatever you are in the mood for and does amazing cuts and color. I have dirty blond/light brown hair and Zen does masterful highlights that look incredibly natural and grow out looking fine. I've also gotten Keratin treatments here and had silky, straight hair for months that I didn't have to blow dry. This place is huge and literally has all the services that you can think of! It's like a one stop shop. Worthy of mention is a person who did my body massage and facial- her name is Fatiha. She's simply outstanding! I've been to many places for massages in DC, but none was as good as spa logic's Fatiha. She understood my issues (I've specific areas of pain) and she customized & exactly catered to my needs. I got my haircut from Myly a few months ago and I loved my experience. I didn't have to wait very long at all and I was early for my haircut. It was a very busy Saturday afternoon, practically every chair was filled. When I first met Myly I wasn't sure what to think because she was still carrying a conversation on the phone via he Bluetooth headset. At first I thought that this would be a very long haircut experience because I was worried she would be on the phone the entire time. Lucky for me she wasn't. In fact, she was very nice and apologized for having to speak with her husband while with a client. I told Myly exactly the style I wanted, a semi-dramatic inverted v bob, almost chin length. I needed something fresh and long hair was just bringing me down. The hair cut turned out great and I think Myly was really impressed how different it made me look. My new hair cut gives me the bit of edge and distinctiveness that I was yearning for over the past 4 or 5 months. Three months later and my friends still asked me if I recently got a hair cut. I don't know if they're bad friends or the hair cut looks that fresh. I'll definitely be back! read more

Garrett Johnson does a spectacular job with curly hair. I'm a 2C/3B curl and he's been working on my hair for over a decade. He is expert at coloring (especially all the gray I've developed since I met him in my early 20s), and does a great job of delivering a cut that doesn't turn in to a "mushroom" within a few weeks. I've had him cut off 9" to go with a super-short cut, and have also grown it out to mid-back length under his care. I've always been happy with the results. read more

She is meticulous with her cleaning and painting, and she is the most helpful in selecting treatments, colors, and services. Her gel manicures last 2-3 weeks and when one of my gels chipped she redid it complimentary.
