Booked a facial and massage for me and my boyfriend as a treat on a rare day off and couldn't have been happier. I had a swedish massage + hot stones, which was AMAZING and he had deep tissue which he says was equally great. Our facials were also excellent and we left feeling pampered. Wow what a great surprise! We came to DC for my daughters 33rd Birthday and she wanted a Spa Day that included a Mani/Pedi on Her Day ....so after a lot of research I came across Spa Logic on Yelp! After reading several reviews that mentioned a package Spa Day for 2 on LivingSocial I went for it. So that's how we got here. Now let's talk....I called to set the appointment and spoke to Aaron he is very informative and patient. My daughter has special needs and he listened to and accommodated our needs. Once we got here everyone was so helpful and worked so well with my daughter it made me so happy to be able to give her this experience and for her to be comfortable. Sadie did our facials and she was amazing! She went above and beyond assisting with a Birthday Cake because with all the planning I forgot that little detail (can you say Mom fail) Sadie made our skin glow! The massages were great very relaxing and the Masseuse that worked with my daughter even assisted her with getting dressed as she had a small issue with her distressed jeans, like I said above and beyond. The nail salon was clean and quiet and didn't smell of acrylic and was very pleasant and relaxing. We got our hair done too, this place has everything! I just got a gel manicure from someone named Lovely and I'm not too happy with it. I got sparkle gel polish and the sparkle distribution is totally out of whack. I've never done a sparkle polish before, but it should be evenly distributed on my nails. Some have WAY more than others...the sparkles should be packed on the nail, and if that's not possible then they shouldn't have the sample there showing that it is. So that was disappointing because I was expecting it to look nice as my other gel manis have in the past. The reason for my low star review is that "Lovely" didn't listen as I was telling her it didn't look even. She rushed my manicure and was very aggressive/not super careful. I don't get my nails done often, so for me it's a splurge to go to a salon and pay all that money for a gel manicure. read more

Had an excellent experience this past weekend. I got a relaxing deep tissue massage, facial, and mani pedi. The young lady who did my facial, Susan, was excellent and very informative, she answered all of my questions and gave me feedback on my skin care routine. I would definitely go back! I bought a Groupon and had a massage, facial, and manicure/pedicure. The massage started late and was about 20 min shorter than it was supposed to be. I was very frustrated by this and complained towards the end, however, because I had already paid was told that the best they could do was discount a next service. The facial was good (my first), however, I felt a bit shamed for not having a better, more regular skin care routine. The advice was good, but considering my goal was to spend a day relaxing, I was not in the mood for a lecture and was a bit off-put. The nails were the highlight of the three services, and I have since revisited that salon and used the discount, however, that business seems to be separate from Spa Logic, with a different door. Also, I find the inability to tip with credit cards VERY annoying! Bring cash, or be prepared to pay the ATM fee. read more

The only reason I visited Spa Logic numerous times was for Shawnna Glass, but she is now @ Metropolis Salon; frankly, a better atmosphere. The receptionist at Spa Logic is rude, which makes for an unpleasant experience, especially when you're paying a pretty penny for their services. I was able to overlook a few things I didn't appreciate about this salon because I LOVE how great my hair always turns out with Shawnna, even the rude receptionist and inconvenient location for their shampoo station (I couldnt fully relax my legs since people walked along that conduit to the closet, resulting in my not bring able to fully relax). read more

I had just moved to DC and finding a nail salon is a harder task than people think but one day after work I encountered this place due to their flexible hours (they close at 11pm!!) and on my first visit I found her! I truly don't have words to express my gratitude to this gentleman. I've never in my entire life felt as beautiful as I do right now. I blow dry and straighten my hair everyday and with time my ends have gotten damaged. Many other salon owners have cut it in a way that doesn't get all of the damage out, my ends would still be split and I would go home and try millions of treatments but Mr.Celik has a level of skill that is truly beyond this universe. His hands have been truly blessed. I can't even express how amazing he is, from start to finish I could see my hair transforming into a glowing healthy self. The damage is completely out!! I can't even believe I am writing these words now. Something I've struggled with immensely over the years. Not only did he remove the damage but also shaped my hair in a way to flatter my face that I've always dreamt to have and he did that for me. I am beyond grateful to this gentleman and I hope that he may read this to know how much it meant to me to receive his service. Lastly, I want to add that they offer the "Perfect Blowout" and they don't lie when saying that. I came out looking ready for a red carpet and I am looking for things to do to show off my look. I absolutely love spa logic. Their hours, prices, and service quality are hard to beat. I just had my hair cut and blown out with Metin and it was one of the best hair cuts I have ever had. I tend to shy away from hair cuts because I love my hair long. I've had cuts that didn't do too much for me and I'd notice dead ends still present after washing the my hair after the initial cut. Metin exceeded my expectations. He seriously was amazing and took his time perfecting his craft. He knew I liked my hair long and would check in with me each time before a big snip. This salon has a ton of nail color selections and is clean and neat. They also gave a complimentary 5 minute face and shoulder massage from one of their masseuses. I had a kink in my back which i mentioned to the masseuse and she did work on it a little but not to my liking in the 50 min provided. Facial was too rough because i ended up with 3 little scabs on my face which she supposedly gave me while attacking some old whiteheads...go figure. I often come to Spa Logic for my nails (best gel manicure in DC) but I had never come for my hair until recently. If you have curly hair then you need Garret as your stylist. He understands how to shape each individual curl, how to apply highlights in a way that accentuates each curl while still looking natural, and he will never cut too much off (every curly girl's worst nightmare--hello shrinkage!) I am so happy with the results of my cut and color that I will never let anyone else do my hair again. Garret is a true professional, a great conversationalist, and a genuine breath of fresh air. I love Spa Logic it is always so clean, so well staffed, and it truly is the best one stop shop for all of your beauty needs in DC. The whole spa package started off okay - easy to make the appointment. The first part was the facial, which went okay. A good experience, relaxing, etc. Then was the massage - which was the one thing I was looking forward too and was one of the worst massages I've ever had at least I got a little rest. I was told on the phone it would be a chair massage and I wouldn't need to take my clothes off (not what I thought it would be when the group on was booked). It was a massage in a chair that fully reclined. The therapist was horrible - no idea if she had any training. She made no accommodations for my body like a pillow under my knees, didn't ask if I had any areas that needed attention, etc. The mini massage with the facial was 10xs better. At one point she reached over my body and used my body to steady herself as if I wasn't a person. The foot massage was just a lot of oil rubbed on my feet - there was not a lot of massage to be had. The next step was the pedicure but the therapist insisted on putting my socks back on - she has no idea where she was. I was also not offered water at all during either treatments. Odd for a massage. The mani/pedi were nothing special - the traditional massage. The majority of people there were bored staff sitting around taking up space. I never understand why the TVs are on but with no sound or closed captioning - why bother otherwise. The mani/pedi would have been okay except it took forever and it already looks like crap. Its winter no one is wearing flip flops out - I was sprayed down with quick dry and then I put on my socks and shoes. Not one of the 8 bored employees offered to help me or put plastic wrap to protect the pedicure. I know I could go back and ask for the toes and thumb to be fixed but I don't have time to explain the error to the numerous staff that doesn't talk to each other or time to park, wait, etc. For the amount of lotion and oil that was used during the pedicure I would at least have soft feet - but sadly that is not the case. This was supposed to be a 3 hour relaxing experience. I took a vacation day to do this - so I'm rather pissed about the TIME and MONEY wasted. read more

Horrible customer service experience. I had a Travelzoo voucher for a discount facial and massage. When I arrived, they didn't quite know what to do with me, as I wasn't assigned a masseuse. I was supposed to receive a glass of wine, which was never offered. I'm giving it two stars because Sadi who did my facial was great. Laura who did my massage needs to work on her technique, as there was no consultation and she bruised (i.e left broken blood vessels) on my back from her overly enthusiastic deep tissue massage. When I called the next day to inform the spa, the person who answered the phone told me I should have mentioned it at "check out", so they can talk to the person right away. I indicated that I couldn't see bruises at that point and told her there wasn't really a "check out" because a lady was at the front counter complaining that the price for hair services increased. The person on the phone ignored me and proceeded to greet someone walking into the spa. I will not be returning, how disappointing. read more

I have had my haircut by the owner of Spa Logic before and my cut was great and she was lovely. I was running late for my haircut this morning with Shwanna and called to let her know, the receptionist said that it was no problem. When I arrived, traveling quite far, Shewanna said that she would not be able to blow dry my hair. I said oh I didn't realize and she snapped, "I've been here a few years, I book up." This information could have been relayed on the phone so that I wouldn't have traveled out to DuPont Circle and it certainly did not have to be so rudely said. It was freezing outside and I could not go back to work with wet hair. While she may book up immediately, word of mouth is a powerful source of recommendation and a lack of kindness and inconsiderate behavior does not maintain clients. read more

TL;DR: at least it ended up only being $30 with my check-in. I came here at the last minute for a blowout because I had a holiday party later in the evening and everywhere was booked. My stylist was Alex, who was very kind and cheerful. He asked me how I wanted my hair; since my hair is shoulder length and frizzy, I told him straight but with lots of volume, and he asked me whether I wanted the ends flipped in or out. I repeated myself and said I wanted it straight, and he smiled and nodded. The wash was fine, the shampoo was unremarkable, and then Alex took me back to his chair for the blowdry. During the entire blowout, he had me turned away from the mirror, so I had no idea what he was actually doing. I hoped that he was doing a good job and kept trying to give him hints by turning to look at my hair in the mirror. When he finally turned me around, I was disappointed; unlike the sleek look I had imagined, he did exactly one of the two styles he had described (or maybe was capable of doing) in the beginning - my ends were flipped under and looked a lot like a helmet. It was sleek and had lots of body, but the shape was not what I had wanted. I'll give them points for being clean and for everyone having a great attitude, but it wasn't the best blowout I've had bc the style was pretty dated. read more
