I LOVED my experience here, so much so I ended up booking a second massage at the end of my trip. I booked a custom 60min massage with deep tissue add on. My massage therapist was Yuri, and she was FANTASTIC. She is so sweet and kind, I told her I liked really firm pressure, and she delivered. She did better than the male therapists I've had. If you're looking to be pampered and to relax, but don't care much about spa amenities; ( hot tub, sauna etc.), I recommend Spa Halekulani 100%. The massage rooms are dimly lit, closet to put your belongings, calming music and their tables are heated. You can enhance your experience with oils, they ALL smell wonderful and aren't too strong of a scent. I opted for CBD, which also comes with a CBD shot to drink. I've had a bad back for a long time and she was really able to work out some knots, and the CBD makes you feel really relaxed. After your massage you are taken out to their patio to sit. They will provide you with tea and a little dessert. They also do cocktails and champagne. Sitting out in the patio is so tranquil, you just listen to the birds, the waves of the ocean, as you decompress and all your worries just melt away, and they don't rush you. They canceled on us with 30 minutes notice which pretty ruined our scheduled day. They didn't offer any compensation either - that's also after charging full price even though half their spa facilities are closed. Don't rely on them for service, even if you're staying at the hotel. They're unreliable at best. read more

If you are looking to be pampered in a five star setting then this is absolutely the spa for you. From the moment you arrive at the front desk , you quickly realize that this place is special. Lisa was very friendly and made the check in process fast and efficient. I was escorted to a quiet seating area to wait for my appointment to begin and enjoyed a delicious glass of iced tea served with an optional paper straw and accompanied by a beautiful orchid. It was nice to take a moment to center my thoughts before my appointment started and I appreciated the gorgeous view that looked out over the perfectly manicured grounds at this five star resort. I scheduled the Halekulani Supreme mani/pedi and it was beyond any expectations I had! Just imagine closing your eyes and relaxing for three hours in a zero gravity chair with a soft blanket and calming instrumental music softly playing. It allows you to drift away into a serene state of mind and let go of the stress of the day. With this treatment option you will experience a fantastic manicure and pedicure that includes warm parafin gloves wrapped in weighted lavender scented mittens. As you drift into complete relaxation you will be so happy that you chose to visit Spa Halekulani. Don't forget to purchase a bottle of their famous Manoa Mint relaxation spray to take home! It has the most wonderful scent and I now spray it in my room before bedtime and it helps me relax every evening. Kristen does an amazing job of relaxing your mind and senses while she focuses on bringing your tired hands and feet back to life that will result in soft supple skin and beautifully painted nails. I was lucky enough to be treated to be treated here from the WWP for an early Mother's Day retreat. I dropped my car off at the valet and went in to check in. Once checked in they sat me outside and offered me a cold beverage. I hung out there until my massage therapist, Sofiya, was ready for me. My massage started on a private lanai area where she wrapped my feet in warm towels and lightly massaged them and "energized" my feet with coconut leaf stems made from the leaves of the coconut trees on the property. She then walked me over to the massage rooms and allowed me to relieve myself before getting my massage. They have those fancy boudoir toilets with the warmed seats which was a pleasant surprise on my tush. She asked if there was any spots that she wanted me to concentrate on and how much pressure to use. She showed me the amenities, like shaving creams and fresh razor, scope mouthwash, and deodorant to name a few. She told me to undress down to either my underware or bare, whichever I prefer, and get on the table. The table was warmed, but just a little too much for my comfort. Some places will massage your scalp, so I left my hair down. Apparently it was not offered in the full body massage so if you have long hair like me, make sure to put it up prior to your massage. Sofiya was great. She used the right amount of pressure and everything but by the end of my massage I was left wanting. I've had massages at several other places on the island, but for some reason I am always left missing something unless I go to my spot in Waipahu. Something about all the spots on my body that they work on or something that makes my massage feel complete when I get a massage at my spot in Waipahu. The WWP ordered an add-on service of moisturizing my hands or feet. I thought it meant a little more time of massaging so I chose feet. Nope. It felt like she put some lotion on there and then let it sit for a min while she got a warm towel to wipe it off so I wouldn't have slippery feet after the massage. After my massage, she sprayed the Halekulani's signature scent of maile throughout the room. It was nice... wish I had that spray for my house. I was actually glad that they gave a brush as part of the amenity items as my hair was crazy after my massage. I took the mini Scope home because... why not? I got dressed and they took me back out to the waiting area. I was told to help myself to the water bottles, teas, fruits, and nuts that they had in their inside waiting area. They came by and offered me some of their signature Halekulani tea (think its like maile infused or something). The tea was light, a little sweet, and definitely refreshing. They also brought by a little mochi ice cream. I thought it was just those chocolate mocha balls that you can buy in the store, but it tasted like a rich kona coffee ice cream on the inside and the outside mocha was thin and very fresh tasting. I wish I could buy more. All in all, a good experience. I'm not sure I would come back here though if I was paying out of my own pocket. I prefer the Moana Lani Spa at the Moana Surfrider though if I'm going to pay a lot of money for a massage. At least there I can have access to their other spa services before and after my massage. read more

We made a last minute lomi lomi massage over Thanksgiving weekend . We visited the spa and made arrangements in person. The front desk personnel were all friendly despite being busy. They called to remind and confirm our massages the following day. We arrived in a hurry but soon we felt relaxed , serving us tea and having us sit on the patio while they prepare our rooms. Both masseuse were excellent, knowledgeable and very accommodating working on your specific massage needs. We felt so calm and relaxed. Perfect massage during our vacation in Hawaii. read more

The massage was great, highly on the point, and so relaxing! I love the drink option they provided (a hot drink or a cold hibiscus drink) and the mochi. I have to say the best spa experience I've ever had! there are friendly faces/voices from when you first call to make an appointment through till when you leave. I have been to a few places for spa treatments, but really the saying is true...you get what you pay for. This was a birthday gift from my awesome boyfriend, and I have to admit one of the BEST presents I've ever had. the massage was great, but really the service was amazing. I know I keep saying that but really, I've never felt so pampered and relaxed in my life! I was having a rough week when I decided to use the gift certificate, and boy am I glad I did! From the music they play to the end where they sit you in a lawn chair on the patio area and give you mochi ice cream and tea (which I love!) and then tell you to please stay for as long as you want and relax. a-freakin-mazing. Oh and I have to mention the fact that right after the massage, the massage therapist turns on a shower (she got the temperature perfect too) and tells you that if you want you can freshen up before coming out of the room. I have to say that is the first time I've encountered that. Normally my gripe with massages is that you leave feeling kinda gross (I hate having oil on my skin for too long) so when she offered the shower I was very happy. All in all this is something I would recommend for anyone who has the money to indulge in a spa treatment here. Granted my experience was a present, but I would gladly pay to go again. read more

I was looking for a great place for a couples massage and stumbled upon Spa Halekulani. They have three packages for couples massages, we took the Devotion package -- the cheapest and shortest package of the three. The entire experience is a little over three hours. We started off by choosing our light appetizers and drinks for after our massages. We chose the ahi sashimi and fish carpaccio, with Le Mint (mint lemonade) and a pineapple slush. Then our massage therapists walked us to our massage suite. I call it a suite because it had massage beds, a cabinet, jacuzzi bathtub, and a steam shower. The package started off with foot "massage" on the lanai of the massage suite. Then we had about 20 minutes to use the jacuzzi bathtub and the steam shower in a dimly lit bathroom with chilled water and champagne. I was disappointed that we were only given 20 minutes for these amenities and that you're not allowed to go back and use it after your massage. The massage itself was great. My boyfriend is really ticklish and his massage therapist took really good care of him by using strokes with pressure so that he could enjoy his massage. After the massage, we got our appetizers and sat out on the lanai once again. The food was delicious! Once we finished eating we were moved to a patio with lawn chairs and umbrellas where we were served iced tea and blueberry mochi ice cream. I deducted a star because it's a bit strange to walk on the grass field to get to the massage suite because the massage suite looks almost identical to the guest rooms on the first floor. As we walked passed a guest's room, I swear I saw him panic a little bit -- probably thinking we were heading for his room. Another reason why I deducted a star is because there wasn't any amenities to enjoy before or after your massage -- considering the price we paid for the couples massage I thought we deserved more than 20 minutes in the jacuzzi bathtub and steam shower. Nonetheless, this was still one of the better places to get a couple massage in Hawaii. read more

Excellent service with a well organized staff. I enjoyed the fact they had a couple massage room as well. Really wanted to try the 4 hands massage, but went for the "off menu" sport deep tissue instead. Tea and mochi ice cream at the end was a nice touch. I got a few days treatment here for my girlfriend while she was here to visit me. She told me the massage was great, the haircut looked beautiful on her, the pedicure was flawless but the manicure missed the mark. It was pooled at the tips and looked horrible. The spa was quick to fix it though at no charge!! A bit pricey at well over $500 but she enjoyed the service!! Go ahead, indulge! read more

This place in for treatments only. No amenities available. No jacuzzi, no shower. You're offered only one hot tea or iced tea. No other refreshments. A big disappointment. Services were okay. Staff were kind. I have been to many expensive spas around the world and never left without even an option of a shower. This was very strange to me. First time victor to the spa. +Front desk staff very helpful. +Clean facilities +Polite technicians. -Questionnaire filled out prior to service, seem like info wasn't relayed to technician. -Requested simple design, one color with very subtle glitter only on tip for both mani & pedi. -Pedi design was drenched in glitter all over, when I explained again that I wanted only very little glutted and that I previously requested glitter only on tips, technician still wanted to add more filter to one side to "balance out" the heavy glitter on the other side. -Before same technician started on mani again explained that the design was to be 1 base color with very little glitter only on the tip, unlike the pedi. I leaned back in the chair and dozed off. When I woke up the entire nail was once again covered. I guess the design wouldn't be bad for a person who normally wears color on their nail, but for me a person who only uses matte nude colors, even a little glitter is a big step. -A gratuity was automatically added to my bill, the percent not relayed. I felt it a little inappropriate for a local resident. I usually tip a minimum of 20% for services, but the auto grat felt a bit offensive. read more

I had the best massage of my life here during this visit, in contrast to a fairly average one I had here two years ago. The spa isn't so much a spa (it's not that large, no steam, no whirlpools) as a place to relax deeply and have an awesome massage. If you're staying at Halekulani, book a massage here. read more

Highly recommend this spa for its excellent service and attention to detail. I got an 80 minute massage with the extra pampering (105 minute massage and body treatment) and everything was absolutely perfect. Massage therapist took time to talk to me about what I wanted and didn't want in my massage. The warm moist towel after he worked on an area not only kept the area warm and feeling good, but also removed some of the excess massage oil so I didn't have to take a shower immediately after the massage. Even relaxing afterwards on the lanai overlooking the pool and ocean was great. They are so focused on the details that when he brought me a straw to drink my tropical iced tea with (you also have the option of hot ginger tea), he pulled off the end of the straw paper and let me pull the straw out of the wrapping so that only my fingers touched it. The Bubbies sakura mochi ice cream ball was very delicious also. World class pampering worth every penny. read more

This place was not an all inclusive spa. Do not come here to expect to enjoy the pool. The lomi lomi massage from the male was not so great. However, my make up and hair stylist, Chastity was amazing! I did not know that I was getting engaged that evening and she made me look so beautiful for my surprise picture! Thank you Chastity! When I emailed spa halekulani to specifically send Chastity my pictures from the surprise engagement shoot, they told me they cannot provide me with her personal email. How rude of them when I simply want to share with just her. Anyway, if you want a great massage I'm sure there are other places you can go to around Waikiki beach. read more
