The SPA is clean and smell good. Wonderful service, no small talk just hard work!!! Katie did my facial and massage, she spot on my painful area and put perfect amount of pressure on it. We stay here at Ka Lai (formerly Trump Waikiki), a 5 star resort, and I always stop by the spa on our vacation. We usually buy gifts from the spa gift shop (overpriced but nice gifts for our family) on our way out. The massages have been great but obviously pricey. Staff have been welcoming and made me feel comfortable especially the front desk staff. The massage rooms are elegant and masseuses use Malie scented oil products which I love. They give peppermint tea and macadamia nuts (I'd prefer just regular chocolate without nuts) in the waiting area when you fill out paperwork. One time I came to the spa while pregnant with my 3rd child and it's a special vacation memory I look back on. I wish they would keep the spa discount for guests who stay at the hotel (Trump Waikiki used to give a discount). read more

This is my first ever Yelp review. While I don't usually write reviews, I felt that a recent visit to Spa Ka La'i in Waikiki was so good that I must tell others. From the moment I walked into the hotel, the luxury five-star hotel atmosphere helped me relax and the spa atmosphere set the tone for a relaxing massage session. The spa itself was immaculately clean, with a serene atmosphere that made me feel at ease. The staff was professional and welcoming, ensuring that all my needs were met. The massage I received was exceptional. The therapist, Ayako, was skilled, paying attention to my problem areas while also providing a thoroughly relaxing experience. It's rare to find a combination of expertise and genuine care but Spa Ka La'i really nailed it. After my massage, my treatment room had its own private shower area where I could freshen up and shower if desired. I opted to forego the shower to preserve the moisture from the organic oil applied to my skin during the treatment. Outside of my treatment room before leaving, I was offered hot tea, cold water and a chocolate treat. What an experience! A bonus was the spa offered a kama'aina discount and free four-hour valet parking, which made the visit stress-free, affordable and convenient. Not having to worry about finding a place to park in Waikiki was refreshing. Overall, my visit to Spa Ka La'i was nothing short of amazing. Stayed at the hotel and thought why not go to the spa?! Made an appointment for a jet lag massage because when I asked about the other massages I wanted something with more deep pressure, they said jet lag was the way to go. Arrived and they walked me to another room to wait and fill out a form. They gave me peppermint tea and macadamia nuts. Waited a minute before my MT. came to get me. Walked to another room that had amazing ambience and it had a shower and a jet tub thing. The tables were electric and could be adjusted nicely, no awkward moving for me. I just laid there and if I needed to be repositioned the MT used the electric chair to do so. After I was done she offered me the shower, which I took because when in Rome. I took a nice warm shower and got dressed, went to the front and the person at the front desk gave me my receipt. Because I was staying there upon check in they gave me a $30 off my massage services + 15% off boutique services. I had a look around afterwards because the spa front area also is a gift shop like place. They had trump merchandise and also facial and body things along with some salts, chocolates, and soaps. Pricing is ok I guess for high end products. Didn't buy them though. The service and staff were so friendly and nice. Too bad the price is so high but I knew it would be. Massages are pricey to begin with and being in a 5-star hotel even more so. But service did not disappoint. I just wish they had a couples massage option. read more

My husband and I had a massage in Trump hotel on our last day trip in Hawaii. The service and facilities are not comparable compared to other luxury hotels. Here are things I noted: 1. Gratuities are fixed which is around $50 dollar per person. Therefore masseuses don't have motivation to provide great service. My massage is 50 minutes but the masseuse only did for 43 minutes for me 2. They don't have locker room or other great shower and resting areas. You can use the shower in the massage room after service but it can be rushed. 3. The picture is misleading. The actually don't offer swimming pool access. They also don't have steam room. 4. The snack and drink are cheap. They only offer a tray of macadamia nuts and one bottle of mint tea when you get in. My package is with champagne and chocolate. The chocolate are just two pieces of Lindilindor chocolate per person which is really disappointing. read more

First time here and I had a wonderful experience! Got a Groupon for a 90 minute body scrub and express facial. It was $209 plus you pay a $50 service charge which includes gratuity. Free valet parking up to 4 hours. The spa has its own level. Just press spa once you enter the elevators. I was greeted by Lily. She gave me a warm compress for my shoulders and a hot towel treatment for my feet. I had a Rishi peppermint tea, it was very good and reminded me of the tea at Aveda. She then walked me back to the spa room. I chose the rose scrub, you can choose a citrus scrub or a rose scrub. The rose scrub is more relaxing. After the scrub, you shower and then an oil is massaged onto your body. The express facial was great as well. They use naturabisse' products. Lily applied a comfort cleanser, comfort cream, an enzyme peel (gentle exfoliator) and a relaxing mask. The whole experience was amazing! After my treatment I was given a glass of champagne and a bottle of water. I will definitely be back again! read more

Bought a Groupon deal for the couples massage. Called and made the reservation very friendly service. We arrived and were greeted with champagne and Ghirardelli chocolates. The champagne was so good, light and sweet. We we had a luxury bath with bath salts and choice of essential oil. The massage was wonderful. There is a $49.00 service fee per person which goes to the therapist and they were totally worth it. They will validate up to 4 hours of parking. But we walked so we didn't need parking. read more

First off, let's just lay some things out. You say that this hotel is just "borrowing" Trump's name, and that it's not actually a true "Trump Hotel." Yes, it is beautiful, but for this big name, borrowed or not, this spa is definitely a let down! My lady was a Japanese lady and she was pretty good, but my "DEEP therapy" massage for an hour was $165!! And they didn't tell me it was gratuity included of 20%!! What if you felt she didn't deserve the extra $32!!!! CRAZYYY!!! Their spa here is VERY small. They tried to make it nice and I admit the actual room was very relaxing, if you could try and drown out the buses, cars, and various emergency vehicles going by. The sheets were AMAZING!! I seriously need to figure out what kind of sheets they were! SO comfortable and luxurious! If you look on their spa menu of services, it looks almost exactly the same as Trump's Spas in his actual hotels like the one in Chicago and Maralago. So very confused with this level of service. If I'm going to pay over $200 total for a massage, it better be WAY more than just pretty good!! I can pay under $100 for some of the absolutely amazing massages I've had other places!! And the deep tissue, even though I told her to go deeper, wasn't a deep tissue massage at all. She did stretch me really nicely at the end, but I feel that this wasn't a true 60 min massage either. Trust me, I won't be back to this place! It's definitely a rip off and you're just paying for the name, which evidently is borrowed too!! YIKES!! Abraham was my MT for the Classic Trump Massage. Very professional, and considerate. Hot tea to start, foot and hand wash was a nice touch. The aromatics used were light, and got my ok before they were used. The massage went the whole hour, and was head to toe. He wasn't overly chatty or gloomy, seemed to know exactly how to read my mood and what I needed. If I go back, I will for sure request him. Kama'aina gets 10% off and tip was included (although I added extra, as I saw it appropriate). Valet parking is also free for those using the spa, along with 4 extra hours AFTER the massage ( for those who want to shop or lunch in Waikiki). Everyone I encountered in the Trump Hotel was wonderful, more than courteous and made me feel special from toe in to toe out. Great day! read more

I did the Trump experience massage and facial combo. I have had a lot of massages and facials in my life and this was truly the best I ever had. It was so relaxing that I fell asleep. Jennifer was my massage therapist and she was kind and professional. Aiko was my esthetician and she was gentile and knowledgeable. I could literally feel how much they cared about me. I would definitely recommend for people to try this 5 star experience. The spa attendant when we checked in was also very pretty and sweet. I went here to get a treatment one day and when you first come in, you get your feet wiped and served tea. The treatment I enjoyed, but as I was leaving, I passed their "break room" on the way out and I could hear my therapist, I think her name was Diana, talking badly and laughing about how one of the clients feet she worked on smelt terrible!!! And to other co-workers..smh. For the amount of money you pay to get treatment there, this is how the employees talk about clients and who knows what else goes on behind closed doors.
