Woohoo! I was the only patron there upon arrival, so I had the place to myself! Felt like a king taking his throne. While their amenities is quite limited compared to other spa locations, this place was extremely clean and well-organized. Love it! That's when you know you get what you paid for. Their staff is super friendly too. Kukui was my massage therapist and she was AWESOME! She was hitting all the right spots, especially my back area since I have chronic back pain. Highly recommend her. She'll get you good! Use their sauna after the massage and then shower. Felt like heaven. You will leave feeling like a million dollars. Will be back on my next visit. Let me preface this and say that I am a repeat client. I've gone a few times over the past few years. If I don't come for a service I at least come for a bottle of their specialty CocoMango lotion. Spa itself is just as I remembered, beautiful relaxation room, friendly staff and very clean. The cons are limited amenities and the stairs. As most hotel spas go you're going to pay a premium for the location alone...however I love hotel spas because of the amenities and attention to detail. I came on Thursday for a massage and mini facial combo. While my therapist was very nice I was disappointed with my service. I wanted to nap & my super nice therapist was really chatty, after a certain point I said f'it I'll just converse back because clearly I wasn't getting my nap. The massage felt super rushed and the facial was just ok. She did pay attention to areas that I said I would like work and avoided an area I didn't want to touch but I didn't feel like any of my tension was alleviated. I actually went to get a second massage from another place later that evening because I didn't feel like this was adequate. When it came time to check out I just settled my tab with the mandatory 21% service fee and left...$335.76 just so I could pay another person for another massage. I could have said something then but at the end of the day I know I would come back because one mediocre experience isn't going to dissuade me from coming back. I loved the locker room area. Not to bug and not to small. My massage therapist Chicoco was very nice and I loved our conversation. She has great knowledge of her craft. She shared many things about skincare and educated me on some products. I am in the process of going through esthetics school so I really appreciated her sharing her knowledge and expert opinion. My mini facial was amazing. She literally used a product that would temporarily tighten your skin, loved it! My back massage was really great, my neck and back are very tight and she really worked my areas of concern. Yes the prices may seem a little high however you are getting what you're paying for. I found this spa on some of the top ten spa lists online. It is located in the Hyatt Regency and has its own elevator up. Once you walk in, you don't really see a glorious front desk. I thought I was walking into a retail store and since no one was at the register, I had to peek around the office to get someone's attention. Since it was a week day in Jan, I was apparently the only one there (a bonus for me). A woman led me upstairs to the lockers and then told me to come back down into the relaxation area when I was done. The womens' spa area had everything you needed and it was nice and clean. The relaxation room alone is AMAZING! Completely gorgeous view of the pool and beautiful ocean. I would have been happy just lounging in the room all day. Initially when I booked the appointment, there was a deal going on for a facial and massage. Very reasonably priced. I wanted to have my facial first so I could end the day off relaxed. Somehow the wires got crossed and I ended up getting my massage first. Not a big deal, but I was surprised by it. The facial was probably the best part because the esthetician listen to my concerns and customized it around what I wanted. She also did extractions which I definitely needed. I didn't get a massage this time, but in my previous visits, I had the shiatsu massage by one of the male masseuse, and it was one of the best massages I had since they were strong and totally got all the right pressure points. It's rare that a spa exceeds my expectations because they are usually overrated, fufu type spas and don't do much, but not this place! I was able to book 12 hours before and got the morning package: 25 min facial and 80 min massage for $245. The facilities itself was beautiful overlooking the beach. It was the right amount of quaint yet luxury. The waiting area was gorgeous. The facial was amazing. Everything smelled so great. My lady was doing some crazy finger action on my face lol it was thorough and so relaxing, I fell asleep. I wish it lasted longer. Ricardo did my massage and he was great too. I upgraded to the cooling and the heated massage and I thought at least the thermal massage was worth it cause it kept me warm and loose throughout my massage. He really went deep and the one knot I had, he kept going back to try to get it out. He really massaged my glutes probably cause I was tense there too. It was a good balance of relaxation and deep massage. I think he did a great job I wish I had more time to enjoy the relaxation area but had plans. If I did it again, I'd give myself 30-60 min to enjoy more; I didn't even get to try the sauna. I'm not easily impressed but I'm glad this was not a fufu spa. I'd come back! read more

Four stars for the ambiance, two stars for the massage. I got the 60-minute lomi lomi massage, and for the most part it was good. The masseuse had good pressure, and focused on my shoulders liked I asked her to do. She didn't have time to massage my head and face. Though it's expensive, you are paying for the ambiance. The resting area, on both levels, are relaxing. The bottom level has recliners, and it's really relaxing looking out to the ocean while sipping on warm tea. My father's 80-minute lomi lomi massage was not great. He told me his masseuse was going against the grain of his muscles, when a lomi lomi is more like a Swedish massage where the massage is supposed to be with the grain. And the massage wasn't even, where one side had a different technique than the other. He was not relaxed afterwards, and I felt bad because he was really looking forward to this place. My family and I have been coming here for about 10 years, and it's sad that he had this kind of experience. My sister and her girlfriend had a good massage, so it seems like it's a bit of roulette when getting an experienced masseuse. The locker room area is nice, and has a few showers and a sauna. There are also a lot of amenities for the women, including hair ties and razors. If you do choose this spa, ask for a masseuse with longer experience. And come early to enjoy the amenities. read more

It's been such a long time since i got a massage, and was in need of one badly. Decided to use some gift cards that I'd been collecting. Was able to make a day of appointment, they offered 20% off when scheduled between 2-4. This is a nice perk, but once you had in the 17%automatic tip, and 4.712% tax it comes out to just a little over the original price. No big deal though, does save some money. They offer validation which is a plus when conning into waikiki. Was difficult to find, but when asking a hotel staff member was very easy. Clean, peaceful, and friendly staff at the Spa. The amenities they provide are terrific, lotions, soaps, deodorant, mouthwash, q-tips, hair ties, the works. I was extremely taken aback. There is a lounge where they provide infused water, tea, and Apple juice, magazines, chairs, and lounges. Very appealing and nicely decorated. The full window view overlooks into the hotel pool, a decent view given they are not along the ocean front. Now on to the massage, I got the lomi lomi, which I had before. They had some add on lotions (possibly extra massage) which ranged from $16-18. I opted to pass. The massage was very peaceful, and very much needed. The only thing that I was disappointed with was, they seemed to just go on a schedule. By this I mean they didn't work out my knots, they did the areas and moved on. I expected my problem areas to be worked on. I understand that it is timed (50minutes), and was not a full bodied (it did not include feet). Now I'm not sure if all spas do the same things, but my previous spa treatments always included feet massages. However, despite these things Na Holoa Spa is nice, I most likely will not return. This is a nice looking spa with a great view. We stayed at the Hyatt a couple of weeks ago partly because of the location, but also partly because of the reviews we read about the spa. The only reason why I'm knocking off a star is because of the price. All of the staff was so courteous and the facilities were clean and crisp. The masseuses were also very attentive and made sure the lady and I had the right amount of pressure - I was nursing a pretty badly pulled shoulder but the deep tissue was just the right amount of pleasure/pain to kneed out my knots. Since we were there for our anniversary, the Hyatt gave us a voucher for a complimentary bottle of sparkling wine which we decided to have at the spa and they totally accommodated us with glasses and an ice bucket. If you stay here, just tell the hotel (if you're staying there) it's a special occasion, the Hyatt should have something nice for you! The prices were pretty steep, but you're of course paying for Waikiki tourism. It was worth it to have a couple's day together on our last day (which I recommend if you want to get the max out of your last day). Sure you could get a cheaper massage elsewhere, but coming here, you know service is top quality. I would also seriously recommend checking out some of their skin products. We bought a macadamia nut scrub which smells good enough to eat. There is no steam room, pool, or hot tub (those are located outside in the bar area) so you're really limited to the massage rooms, locker rooms with sauna, and showers. Either way, a bottle of sparkling wine later, you might forget the bill anyway. read more

Na Ho'ola Spa at the Hyatt Regency Waikiki was perfect for a mellow Friday afternoon. After a half day tour of Pearl Harbor, my pal and I grabbed lunch and discussed what to do for the rest of the afternoon. Of course, I mention going to a Spa, and that was it. Parking was a bit unnerving, as I self parked across the street in a dingy old building which I think was part of the Hyatt. I drove up like, 7 levels before I found a parking spot. Then we took the elevator down and walked over to the hotel. It was confusing for a bit as we were rushing now since we did not anticipate that parking would take so long. (after validation, parking was free) After circling around the hotel (which is rather extensive) we figured out where the spa was. I took the elevator up to the 4th or 5th floor and it opened up to the Spa Reception. We were greeted warmly and led out to the staircase that went up to the Women's Lounge. I definitely thought that was a bit odd, but when we made it to the locker room/lounge area, I was elated. The locker area is a decent size, which robes and slippers. I quickly slipped into my robe and went the waiting room as it was time for my Lomi Lomi Massage. My therapist, Kukui, greeted me and led me to the treatment room. This was my first Lomi Lomi and it is quite different than anything I've had before. There is definitely a rhythm and a specific technique that she had to carry out this massage. It's a lot of stretching, massaging, and working on target areas on the body. She was amazing. I was happy that I got a local therapist that knew her Lomi Lomi way. After the treatment I was led back to the Relaxation area that is in the middle of the spa. It's on the second floor, and looks over the first floor with the lounge chairs that look out to Waikiki Beach. I sat for a few minutes relaxing and rather enjoyed my spa water while I waited for my friend. My friend had her first facial. She was very relaxed and serene after her treatment. She said she really enjoyed it. We went downstairs and napped on the lounge chairs and read magazines for a while until we heard the Hula show that was going on below us. From the large window you can see down below was a stage and several musicians and hula dancers performing for the hotel guests. Awesome! We really enjoyed our visit. I liked how it was quiet. I saw maybe 4 other guests there and everyone was respectful of being quiet in such a serene environment. I also ended up tipping the spa attendant as she was super organized, quick, yet courteous. Service was pushy with products, massage therapist was very negative, and my spa robe was too big/sandals too small. No whirlpool or sauna. Funky ghetto stairs to walk up to get to the spa. The facility was clean and modern. They have steam sauna, shower and relaxing area with complimentary apple juice, tea and coffee. They have the most relaxing facial I've ever had. My facial specialist, Kaori, is a very nice Japanese lady and her facial massage is amazing! They used Eminence facial products and they smell sooo good! The facility is super clean and relaxing. This is my second visit to this spa and I'll return again next time visiting Honolulu. Friendly, courteous, helpful, and easily exceeded all of my expectations (and I tend to have high standards when it comes to customer service.) Jennifer took care of absolutely everything, I even had flowered delivered to the spa the morning of, and Jennifer made sure to have them waiting right on the counter top for when my gf arrived and her friends arrived. What a lovely experience. My visiting mother took me here for some mother/daughter spa day fun (she'd never been to a spa before). From the moment I put on my fluffy bathrobe until the time I left my ocean-view lounge chair I felt relaxed and pampered. I had the "Awa" package ($340- NOT CHEAP, but for three full spa treatments not too bad, either) which included a 50 min mudwrap wherein they scrubbed off my skin (you get to keep the brush!) then wrapped me in a mud/foil burrito. It was an odd sensation (the mud bubbles!), but not one I'd be adverse to repeating. Then it was time for the stone massage (50 min). My practitioner (who also did my mud wrap) was friendly and chatty and gave me some great food recommendations. She also kept me informed of what was going to happen, etc, etc. The stones were too hot so while they cooled down she gave me some lomi-lomi. There's this bit where there's a warm stone under your neck, a tiny warm pebble on your forehead, and warm stones in your hands and between your toes. I almost died from warm relaxed joy. Next was the facial, which was enjoyable (there were literally 12 different products put on my face) but probably my least favorite piece of spa day. This practitioner was also very pleasant and helpful. In fact, everyone I interacted with that day was a joy to be near. In between all of this were stunning views of the ocean, cushioned lounge chairs and wonderful water (had strawberry and cucumber and orange bits) and tea to help you keep up with their constant urging to stay hydrated. Also, my mother loved it, which was really the point. The only reason I give it 4 stars is because I feel bad recommending something that I would probably never pay for for myself. By the time I got to Honolulu, I was totally ready to relax and get a nice massage after hiking my butt off in Kauai. Based on the reviews, my friend and I decided on Na Ho'ola - plus it was next door to our hotel. My friend was scheduled for a mud wrap and I was scheduled for a lomi lomi massage. Their schedule was pretty open and when we came back for our appointment, I was sadly disappointed that the masseuse was unable to make it to work because she was sick and in the hospital. The spa was very accommodating and gave me a discount on the mud wrap. My experience with the mud wrap was amazing. I've never done a mud wrap before and loved the bubbly feeling of the mud. The coconut oil finish made my skin super soft and I got to sit in the sauna to let the oil soak in some more. The lounge area overlooked the beach and was so relaxing. I ended up just hanging around for another hour after the treatment. Overall, I had a wonderful time at Na Ho'ola with their great staff and beautiful set-up. I couldn't give it a full five stars since they were short staffed and only had one masseuse for the day. But I would still highly recommend it for anyone looking to get some relaxation at a spa in Waikiki. Fyi, the price is about average/on par with the other spas in the area - trust me, we shopped around. But the Hyatt has a coupon book for their entire shopping area and you can get 20% off any treatment. Totally worth it! read more

I feel like a Princess! Today I had a wonderful experience at the Na Ho'Ola Spa in Waikiki. I purchased a Groupon (an amazing deal at $190 for a 50min massage AND an 80min facial!) and boy was it worth it. The entire staff was friendly, informative and always had a smile. The views of Waikiki Beach from the spa are beautiful as well. My first treatment, a massage from Kukui was amazing. She was so nice and made me feel very relaxed during the whole treatment. My second was the facial from Paula who was very knowledgable about the products being used and gave me some great tips for my skin. Every time my friend comes to Hawaii, we HAVE to spa. :) We normally go between the spa at the Moana Surfrider, and the Mandara Spa at the Hilton. I saw a Travelzoo special ($149 for a 50 min massage and 50 min facial) for the spa at the Hyatt and decided to give this place a try. I called to make a reservation and the girl who answered was extremely friendly, and gave no attitude at all when I mentioned I was using a Travelzoo certificate. She actually seemed excited that we were coming to try the spa. From the moment we checked in, everyone was friendly and professional. I've been to other spas that were good at their services, but the staff was very chatty - talking about their weekend, boyfriends, etc. At the Na Ho'ola Spa, everyone understood the balance of being friendly, smiling, saying hi and asking how we were while still being professional. My facial and massage were both great. Relaxing, strong, everything you'd expect from a facial and massage. Oh, something else I really liked were the amenities. In the locker, there was an individual packet of eye makeup remover and nail polish remover. Perfect to get ready for my massage. After we were done, there were razors, q-tips, lotion, and everything else you'd need for a quick post massage shower. Yes, the jacuzzi is in the public area near the pool but my friend and I spa to hang out. We never jacuzzi or steam room so I guess the lack of those items isn't a deal dealer for us at all. We loved being able to lounge for as long as we wanted without being rushed away. We had coffee, tea and chocolates. They validated my parking ticket and parking was free for the entire time we hung out there. I really enjoyed this spa and will DEFINITELY return in the very near future! read more

Excellent Theraputic massage, but facilities are small and offer little. My therapist had big, strong hands and he worked out my knots very well. He had no problem applying very firm pressure where I needed it. The facilities, however, are rather meager. Women's locker room is cramped and it offers only a steam room. Showers are very nice, with a removable shower head, but the shampoo, conditioner and body wash dispensers had visible mold on them. There are no hair products or brushes, only those old-timey black combs are available. And there is only one hair dryer. I had to wait about ten minutes to use it. The women's locker room is on the second floor, so you have to walk up and down a metal "emergency" styled stair case to get back to reception and the more comfy lounge area. The upper lounge area isnt that comfortable. The chairs are too deep and the bolstered cushions are pretty useless, so your legs either hang uncomfortably off the edge, or you have to sit perched on the chair's edge. Other than water, no snacks--like fruit--are offered in the lounge areas. The lounge chairs on the lower lounge area are quite comfy and the view is spectacular. Not a place in which to relax. Just get your massage and go. read more

The entrance to the spa is a bit had to find since the Hyatt is one of the most busy hotels in Waikiki. There is a private elevator that takes you to the pool deck and ultimately the spa directly. It wasn't like typical dark candle scented spas when you first walk in... it was very bright and clean. Almost as bright as a doctor's office! But don't let that turn you off.. I had a couples massage and it was the best massage I ever had! The massage beds are amazing and electronically move around to the shape of your body. (never see this anywhere else) The therapists were the best with seamless transitions and perfect pressure. Also, they have a special room for couples that is nice and big so you won't ever feel the other therapist hitting your bed. Didn't get a chance to enjoy the spa amenities much, but the waiting room also had a great view of Waikiki Beach. You will not regret this and the prices here are comparable to other spas in the area. TIPS: Parking is across the street in the hotel garage so either arrive early or valet it. Also, if you want a female therapist, be sure to ASK because they don't have very many. read more

I regularly visit Na Ho'ola spa. Without question, Na Ho'olu spa is one of the best massage experiences that one can experience. The staff is professional, friendly, and gracious. The facility is inviting, clean, comfortable, and offers a clear ocean view. The massage therapists are professional, well trained, experienced, and gracious. Your health, comfort, and experience are their primary concern and they never fail to deliver a sensational massage. The Lomi Lomi massage is sublime and worth every penny. My favorite therapist is Reiko and I cannot recommend her enough. I also highly recommend Mitsue. Whether visiting Oahu for the first time or a local resident, give Na Ho'olu a try. I really enjoyed my time at this spa. The Na Ho'ola Spa is located in the Hyatt Regency on the edge of beautiful Waikiki beach. I arrived early and enjoyed the views of palm trees and surfers riding in on white foamy waves from atop the open-air third-floor sun / pool deck before heading to the spa. Note: There is a great cocktail bar on this floor. The check-in staff are warm and professional. The lobby has a zen feel with a cascading waterfall and eucalyptus and lavender scents. Amenities include a nice changing area, lockers with robe and slippers (I loved the small Koa bowl to put your jewelry in), showers, an array of toiletries, a dry sauna, fruit-infused iced water, apple juice and fruit and herb teas. Plus, there are cozy relaxation spots with stunning views of the beach and interesting Hawaii books to flip through. I tried the 50-minute Timeless HydroPeptide Stem Cell Facial. This was unlike any facial I've done before. I had Chikako as my esthetician, who assessed my skin type and tailored a treatment plan. She explained each of the steps. It started with a series of 100% organic (no chemicals) Eminence skin care cleaning, and continued with two to three types of medical level exfoliants, (incredibly tingly) and wrapped up with brightening, evening out skin tone and hydration. Her hands never stopped moving, stimulating the face, neck and shoulders. Her fingertips have an incredible Reiki type of heat in them. Magical! I was overdue for a relaxing spa treatment. It was a completely enjoyable spa experience and I loved the results. Overall my skin feels cleaner, brighter, more even, and fine lines are diminished. read more

What a great experience! For our anniversary we wanted to get a couples massage, but with multiple visitors and a hectic schedule, they got rescheduled for my birthday - no complaints! The Hyatt Regency is walking distance from home, so this was very convenient - it is in the heart of Waikiki, across from the beach. We walked into the Hyatt, and took the elevator up to the 5th floor. When the doors opened, it looked like we were arriving to Heaven - BRIGHT sunlight shining in through the window. We wrapped around the corner where we were greeted by a few ladies. They checked us in, and showed us to our locker rooms - the men's was right near where we checked in, but the women's was upstairs. We changed into our robes and our slippers (flip flops), and met back downstairs in the relaxation room. The relaxation room had a few lounge chairs with nice thick cushions, and a few other wicker chairs with the same nice cushions. The chairs faced a LARGE windowed wall with the curtains drawn, but the heat was still coming through. There were nice books all about Hawaii on the tables. After just a few minutes our masseurs greeted us and took us back to our therapy room. We each slipped under the sheets of our massage tables, which were nice, warm and cozy. My massage was A-MAZ-ING! I have a bad neck from an accident in 2007, and desperately needed this! After our 50 minutes was up, I did not want to get up - but Tony was ready to go! He liked his massage, but was slightly uncomfortable having someone touch him like this - so he wasn't able to relax like I did! The beds moved in all sorts of directions, which I have never experienced before. They used nice hot towels after the massage an area, to keep the moisture and heat in, another first. My masseuse whispered only to tell me to move, and to check on me - which I loved - I hate when they feel like they need to talk to you the whole time. I was there to relax, and relax I did! This place was great - the locker rooms included showers and a sauna - which I didn't use - but they have all of the amenities you need (shampoo, conditioner, soap, razors, hair dryers, etc). They were PRICEY - but you have to take into account that you are in a tourist town, so it is expected. They do have Kaimaina prices which helped - 15% off all treatments. For a 50 minute couples massage it was $270, minus the 15%, plus tip - so by time it was said and done it was a little over $275 for the afternoon. (lost the 5th star for costs - 5 stars otherwise!) Highly recommend for a ritzy day - I will be back, but probably solo :) read more

This is a beautiful spa. A friend and I booked appointments because her mother-in-law recommended it. We live here and hadn't tried this one yet. We arrived early so we could utilize the fitness center and shower before out treatments. The gym is small but not very crowded. The machines are easy to use and each of the cardio machines have little tv's on the screen. Nice touch. After showering up, we had a few minutes so we sat in the lounge. This was so relaxing. There are three lounge chairs that look out at the pool and Waikiki beach. Beautiful. We both tried scrubs for the first times. I wasn't sure if I would like it because I thought I'd feel oily or that it wouldn't be as relaxing as a massage. I'll be the first to admit, I was wrong. I got the pineapple haupia scrub which is a less abrasive scrub than the popular macadamia nut scrub. My technician had just the right touch. After the rub down of the scrub, I rinsed off and then she rubbed a lotion on me. It was rich but didn't feel oily at all. The facility is absolutely beautiful and the staff are very friendly. They don't have as many amenities as other spas I've been too but I would definitely go here again. They even have a kamaaina rate. read more

They have a 15% Kamaaina discount and as some other people mentioned the parking is free when validated. But come early! I cam with DH about an hour early because he loves dry saunas, but I thought I'd just hang out in the relaxation room and try not to get too bored. However, the relaxation room rocked. There was some fruit, crackers, cheese, and fruit cookies that DH downed like no tomorrow. There were chaise lounge chairs overlooking floor to ceiling windows, were we definitely became relaxed! There was the obligatory coffees, teas and iced water, and it was totally the place to get into the massage mood. The massage itself was nothing too special. The masseuse were very professional, particularly in how they kept me covered and their ample use of warmed towels. It was definitely not crowded and it was not cheap but with the discount and couples rate, it was worth the price. read more

Colby grave an amazing scrub/ facial and Bernard is the man to go to, to ease the tension in those achy muscles after a long flight. Just got a couples massage with the hubby and with the 15% kama'aina rate, it was a pretty good deal. The spa itself is lovely, clean and peaceful. It only has a sauna so if you're used to a full spa (ie Grand Wailea Spa in Maui, which is like what i compare every spa to) then it's not for you. Not crowded at all which is a plus. I had the swedish massage and my masseuse was on pointe with the right amount of pressure applied to the massage. Parking is free (validated and self park). A nice place to give yourself a treat and feel like you're on vacation. read more
