It took some time to get on his schedule but he came over, did a thorough inspection and gave me an estimate. The tub was over 15 years old and unsurprisingly needed quite a bit of work. He told me that he had a rebuilt hot tub that he was willing to sell and install for much less than the cost of repairs. I have been happy with the tub that he sold us and installed.

He installed the part and then asked for $650, I thought it was bad form but I said if it fixed the hot tub I'd pay it. It still didn't work. I call Doug at Double Bubble, he says he's sick and can't come fix it. Ok, I wait a couple weeks and call again, he says "I'm really sick, I have serious problems." At this point I'm upset about the hot tub but I'm more worried about Doug. I wait a couple more weeks and call, leave a message, a couple weeks later, another message, then again a couple weeks later. Now I'm assuming Doug is dead or in the hospital so I find someone else and start the process over again. $800 and 3 months later after replacing every other part of my hot tub, the new guy (who is working for free at this point because he feels bad for me) gets on with tech support and figures out that Double Bubble installed the part incorrectly, and FINALLY fixes it. Then comes the kicker... I see Doug at Piaci drinking beers and eating pizza like nothing ever happened. NEVER TRUST DOUG FROM DOUBLE BUBBLE.

I have one of the largest pools in Eastridge Hills (31K gallons)...just moved in a year ago so things were a bit tricky. Emilio handled all of it like a pro. He's the REAL DEAL (I.dont.leave.reviews.!). He came out to assess our pool/spa system, explained clearly why the existing control board wasn't compatible with our equipment, and walked me through the options WITHOUT upselling me. We went with the AquaLink upgrade! System works beautifully. Everything's connected to the app, equipment is programmed, and he demonstrated it all before collecting a single dollar. Honest, knowledgeable, patient with a lot of questions, and genuinely good at his craft. If you've got a pool or spa in the area, don't overthink it -- call Emilio. -- Dave B., Fairfield CA - Eastridge Hills

Dad had been in the business a while and Emilio was getting his feet wet and aspiring to get his contractor license. He achieved his goal of getting his contractors license so I reached out again. Nothing. Fast forward to now time. I figured they could've worked the kinks out by now so I emailed him and sent a Yelp request. My answer...? Crickets. Nothing. I guess he doesn't need my business even though I was willing to take a chance on him when he was aspiring g to be a pool contractor. I hope he figures it out because he seemed like a good kid.

From the get, their service was mediocre and spotty. Then I learned that despite the pool being salt water--which they were aware of since they actually wrote up the sellers condition report for the pool disclosure part of the buying process, Johnson just ignored that and NEVER serviced the pool as it was meant to be maintained in order for the salt water system to work. Instead they would just show up periodically and dump chlorine into the water--NOT what you do to a salt water pool. Consequently the salt water cells were never cleaned allowing the entire system to fail and refused to correct the situation. My latest experience with Roto Rooter includes them doing work that wasn't needed / not fixing the plumbing issue, and hiking up the price. 3x they visited the property and didn't fix the actual cause. I had to hire another company that fixed it immediately. When asking about the work done and if some of it was actually needed, their office secretary Jon turned very argumentative. Bad look. But it seems that's his usual encounter with his customers based on his responses to reviews online. Be very careful when choosing to work with them.
