Emilio and his father came to my property to give me an estimate and talk about my project. Emilio was friendly but it seemed he and his father had a strained relationship. Dad had been in the business a while and Emilio was getting his feet wet and aspiring to get his contractor license. We thought we would take a chance on them as it was a short wait until Emilio would be licensed. Emilio stopped communicating with us. We exchanged a few messages, he was able to diagnose the issue via pictures and his price was excellent. He fixed the issue and was able to get the equipment running in time for a graduation party we had planned for the weekend. Jose and Emilio did a great job renovating our old pool. They replaced cracked sidewalk, replastered the pool, reworked the stairs to add a large shallow landing, new tile, and removed and plastered over old non-functioning lights. Hard pass on these guys. I contacted Legacy through Yelp looking for quotes, sent out to multiple businesses. Legacy responded quickly and scheduled my appointment within a few days. They then had to contact me to reschedule the original appointment. Annoying bc I had had made myself available at that time/day but I understand, no problem. Rescheduled the appointment, Emilio contacted me at the appointment time to tell me he was running late. Ok, also not a big deal. However, as far as professionalism, I had asked for a quote on a full pool repair/install. Emilio discussed the repairs and gave estimates, verbally but refused to give a quote with what needs to be fixed/repaired/replaced unless we paid him $250. I spoke back and forth with him multiple times trying to schedule the appointments, and giving as much information on my end as possible. Never was this mentioned. He repeatedly asked for it, and refused to give any sort of written quote unless we paid him. I met with Emilio almost 6 weeks ago and I still have no bid. Two weeks after coming out to look at my pool I called him and he said his dad was double checking the bid and then he would send it. A week after that still no bid. I texted him and he replied I'm not in the office but I'll send it today when I get back into the office. That was almost 3 weeks ago. I called yesterday and it went to voicemail and I received automated text saying sorry, he'll call me back and then no call came. I decided this morning I should look deeper into the company. I am so happy we found Legacy Pools! We bought a house In Vacaville and I had a hunch the the pool had a leak even though we were told it was tested and no leak . Emilio and his crew found a really bad leak in the pool light area so we had them fix the leak, repair chips in the fiberglass and put new gel coating, new light and housing. Since we were having the work done we decided to have them put a heat pump heater so we could have a longer swim season and a hand rail also. They were fast and efficient and let me know what was going on at every step. It is a father and son team who are very knowledgeable and do great work with their crew. We are very happy. I was amazed at how fast they were able to get done and for a reasonable price, Other companies had a long wait time and were charging way too much or just seemed shady.. Legacy wasn't the cheapest but not the most expensive either. I would give them 10 stars if I could. We highly recommend.
