I was told my unit was beyond repair and needed a full replacement. Unsurprisingly, the warranty company wouldn't cover it. Then the same HVAC company suddenly said they could fix it--for $1500 out of pocket. That flip-flop didn't sit right with me. So I called Souza's Heating and Air, and I'm so glad I did. Not only did they fix my unit the same day, they showed me the actual faulty part--which was completely different from what the warranty contractor claimed. I called Monday afternoon to schedule a check-up as our system blew its fuses late Sunday and we replaced early Monday morning. Everything on the internet suggested that when this happens it's important to have the system checked. Rick was scheduled for Thursday as they were busy, but that was okay as our system was working now. Rick arrived on time and checked out the system. He took a video to show me what the system was doing and said we were very fortunate the house hadn't burned down (due to overloading the circuit it sparked every time the A/C started up). Replacement was inevitable. Rick discussed the options he had available. Within 24 hours we made our decision and we were put on the schedule for Monday morning for installation. The process was smooth for a quick resolution to a newly discovered challenge. The installation was handled in a professional manner. Of course, we provided plenty of cold water because the weather is currently running at triple digits (everyone should do this). Yes, we definitely allowed the folks to use our bathroom and they left it acceptable. There were challenges with the accessories and there weren't any audible poor word choice outbursts. Mark came to our house in Tracy to look at an AC that kept freezing up. We had 2 other companies come out to "make repairs" on the unit. Had the best experience with this company! Our AC upstairs wasn't working and I got a quote from Loves Air who told me I needed a new unit (our unit is original when they built the house- 20 years old and the Freon is expensive to fill up ($160/lb) ... I got a 2nd opinion from Souza's heating and air and so glad I did! He told me they make a Freon that works with our unit that's a lot more affordable ($50/lb) and did a diagnostic and ended up replacing 1 part that was out. This company saved me a lot of $$$$. We will need our unit replaced soon (maybe a few years from now) but I'm so glad to get a little more life out of our unit for now. Definitely recommend Souza's Heating & Air! I had an issue with my heater and called at LEAST 5 HVAC companies and they all pushed me off for 3 - 5 days to get a few estimates. While I was out of town and my mother was house sitting, she decided to hang a picture in my den, and punctured the AC line in the wall. FINALLY an amazing AC company! I had my AC diagnosed 2x before calling mark. The blower motor went out. The 1st company wanted to charge me $2400 and the 2nd company wanted to charge me $1900. Our AC went out on a Sunday evening and we had another company come out and misdiagnose they problem and tell us he had to order a part for us.
