Super happy with the work from Lorenzo heating and cooling. I originally called when my furnace stopped working. My furnace along with my AC unit were roughly 30 years old. I knew they were getting close to needing a replacement as my AC unit went out about 3 years ago but was fixable. I reached out to this company via Yelp and they got back to me very quickly and had upfront pricing for coming to diagnose my issue. A reasonable fee of $69 when the next closest was over $100. Anyway, Max arrived promptly and was very professional and courteous. I could tell he wasn't trying to sell me anything as he explained that some of these old heating units are better to fix and keep because they just aren't made like they use to be. He was transparent and told me that he could fix it but there was no guarantee how long it would last. He did not suggest i get a new unit, but I inquired as to the cost to just upgrade my HVAC system to become efficient and effective. Max provided a full quote within about 24 hours of servicing my unit. He explained the breakdown cost of two different systems and didn't try to sell me on a more expensive one. Anyway, we scheduled the replacements and they did a great job. Each unit took about 4 hours to complete and they had to do in two sessions since we were dealing with some heavy rain on the first session. They left my house very clean, were super cool with my barking dogs and were just all around nice guys. The price was also very competitive and reasonable. Nothing beats having a comfortable home. I would highly recommend calling this company if you having HVAC problems. They came quickly. Showed up in the time window they promised. Sent a text ahead of time that they were on the way. Max was polite, patient, thorough, and had great advice. He fixed our furnace but also explained alot about how our furnace works, how to read the error codes and what to expect from our furnace in the future. First, I did not get any compensation from posting. If there is more that 5 stars, they definitely deserve it! For reference, my Bryant AC's fan is not working and was making this loud hissing sound! I was tormented w the summer heat plus the fact that I worry my AC unit might blow up at anytime. So I contacted this company and they were very responsive! They gave me a sched in a short amount of time. The actual day came. Max came to my property promptly. He checked my AC and knew right away what was wrong. Max has been a huge help for our home's HVAC needs. After moving into a new home, we were unfamiliar with the HVAC setup and wanted to install exhaust fans in our bathrooms. Max diagnosed the issues with our old bathroom fans (they were centrally powered by a single weak attic fan) and helped replace our bathroom lights with a fan-and-light combo unit so we could reuse the lights' electrical wiring. Max allowed us to pick our preferred fan models (e.g. the kind we wanted from Panasonic), and had a very competitive price for the installation. Most recently, we needed a tune-up of our heat pump and condenser unit, as well as repairs to install a hard start compressor kit (to prolong our condenser's life), water leak detection for our air handler, and general cleaning of the condenser's grime and dirt. Max performed all of these repairs professionally without issues, at a price that was hard to beat. We are very happy with our new exhaust fans and repaired HVAC system, and will continue to use LORENZO Heating & Cooling for our future HVAC needs. read more

Hidden Gem! Quick, Honest, Knowledgable! This business is a hidden gem and I hope they get more clients! I called them after my last Yelp contact no showed their promised appointment. Cindy took my call & was very nice & pleasant to talk to. I needed my AC fixed asap as I had out of town relatives coming in. I asked Cindy if there was any way if I could have someone come out today. Cindy said they were booked but could squeeze me in at the end of the day. Very fortunate to get the appointment same day. I asked Cindy if she could send me proof of appointment since my last Yelp person no showed and she was happy to do it. They ended up coming an hour early. Max came and introduced himself & asked to come in. I told him in detail what the issue was and Max really took the time to listen to all the details & looked like he really got an idea on what the issue could possibly be. Max took a look at our AC Unit, the thermostat panel, everything. Max talked me thru everything he was doing as he was doing it, it was like watching a home improvement show. Max asked to turn the AC unit on & he said he could hear the possible issue , he believed the Capacitor wasn't running as good as it should. He did some tests on the Capacitor and was able to show me stats on how low it was running at compared to what the norm should be. Max quoted me a price & never pressured me into anything. I said let's do it. Max got to work. He finished everything & did the test again to show me the huge difference in stats. Max cleaned up everything. Overall, everything took about 30-40 minutes, really fast & very impressed with everything. Max, Cindy, & Lorenzo Heating & Cooling made everything such a pleasant experience & definetly made up for the no show from the previous Yelp contact I had. We are so thankful Max was out to check on our heater with short notice. We had actually been with this issue for more than a year and I would've called him SO much sooner had I realized how efficiently he was able to help. He checked the unit in the attic and noticed the insulation had fell and would've made the system overheat and shut down. That didn't quite do the trick so then he checked the filter and changed it and checked and properly set our console to use the furnace vs a heat pump, and then finally cleared another sensor of sorts with the unit in the attic again. And he did this all in an hour under the diagnostic fee. He also mentioned that our system was a little more finicky so if we had any issues he'd be willing to come out again under the same charge. Max came out within a day when others were going to be weeks to fix our AC during the hot weeks of early August. He diagnosed the problem (compressor not turning on) within minutes and had it replaced in another 20 minutes. He walked me through what to expect from a warranty perspective since the AC unit was only a few years old. The only thing I am still waiting on is his response on getting the part covered by warranty and then my money refunded at that time. We had a leak in our water heater. I contacted Lorenzo heating and cooling through Angie's list.com Max Lorenzo responded within minutes. He came out to our house from San Jose to the Santa Cruz mountains and gave us a free estimate. Our water heater was beyond its years and needed replacing. We received a text the evening of the estimate asking if we agreed to the terms. This was a Thursday. We did. He followed up the next day saying he could come the following week to put a new water heater. The process of getting the new water heater was fast. He was very courteous and efficient. Max made sure we had everything we needed for the water heater, new water lines and a water shut off that we didn't have before. He taught us how to turn it off in an emergency or if we went on vacation. It also came with a one year service warranty, call anytime. He cleaned up after himself and made sure we were happy with it before he left. I would recommend 100%. He did a great job. Max is a nice person on top of everything else which made it even better.
