10/10!! We LOVED everything we tried!! We visited on a rainy Friday night around 9PM and it was the perfect time to stop by. The restaurant doesn't take reservations so we arrived with only 1 person in front of us on the waitlist. Once our table was ready we were quickly seated in a lowkey booth by the front door! Our server was friendly and attentive! Unfortunately they don't have any vegetation options. Been hearing a lot of great things about this restaurant but I can't even enjoy it. I wouldn't have ordered a drink if I couldn't get food, especially when I was hungry. Not even a salad is vegetarian. The bartender went to ask the kitchen and this was the response "nothing is vegetarian and everything is cooked in the same grease" So...no separate fry grease - for the okra or fries - which a lot of restaurants are doing. Only salad option is a Cesar - which has anchovies in the dressing. Bummer! read more

All the food we ordered was amazing! Service by Selena S was super awesome! Especially with being one of the last to be seated. She took great care of us and made sure our orders made it in. We were hungry individuals visiting from NY/PA looking for some good soul food. We found it and were highly satisfied with everything we ordered! Compliments to the chef(s), too. Comfortable atmosphere and visiting is a must if you haven't yet! read more

Well when I say this put my on my back, it put me down. Normally when I choose to dine out or order takeout I always finish my food and look for more. Southern fire kitchen is truly southern food I couldn't even finish i order the turkey chops with Mac and cheese and their mashed garlic potato's . And there delicious honey butter corn bread. I couldn't even finish everything. That food was amazing seasoned greatly , hot and just damn delicious. Me and my friends were seated almost immediately. The drinks came fast and so did our starters. Our entrees did take about 40 minutes it I was 100% work the wait. The restaurant was beautiful the music was great and the vibes were truly amazing you could see yourself and everyone else around just truly enjoying themselves and the food. Now the only thing I can take away is that there ate no. Refills for the drinks. It doesn't state it on the menu nor did the waitress but it's a lesson learned. All in all it's definitely worth it , because they charge you for everything! Can't wait to go back and try something else ! read more

Visiting from out of town, this place started showing up on my social media page, so I decided to check it out. There was a 45-hour wait (which was cool) The host was nice and seated us at our table. The restaurant played GREAT music and the establishment was very clean (including the restroom.) Once we were seated, our server (Yaya J) came over to greet us then stated that she would be back. It took her awhile to come back, but when she did, she took our drink and food order. My son decided that he wanted a Sprite instead of the Lemonade & I caught her to tell her before she poured it, yet she brought him the lemonade anyway! Speaking of the Lemonade, they should keep it in a cooler prior to serving because our lemonades weren't served cold (even with Ice) Our food came out quickly & FRESH! The presentation was on point! However our server was not attentive as the other servers. I see why they charge an 18% gratuity, because she wouldn't have gotten that $17.48. If you don't mind (not getting your change back from your cash payment) USE A DEBIT or CREDIT Card, because they don't take CHANGE & our server told us to have a good night and kept my sons change! We won't be back!!! read more

The food was good we all enjoyed meals! The collards had a tad too much vinegar for me but I ate them all. Too the yams and cornbread were tasty. $8 per side feel a bit pricey but if you just get veggies it is as much as a platter. The prices may be too high for many so having regulars help them navigate successful outcomes and the taste will bring some back. Music was great but a little loud on a Monday night! The security begged questions but I am use to it in Atlanta not so much my out of town guests lol. Worth a stop in to enjoy cocktails and good food! enjoy the healthy portions and friendly servers! read more

So coming to Atlanta from New York I thought I was going to be up to chin in southern style restaurants that served all the classic staples and boy was I wrong. There were only two options in the area and one of them closed at like 2 pm which is so strange but anyways found this place and even though its located in a strip mall it was actually a nice little vibe inside with a cute bar area. The food was like a 3.999/5 I would have given it the 4 but the seasoning on the chicken could have been a little better and the mac and cheese was more like cheese and mac. The mashed potatoesssss was the winner for me, a little heavy on the black pepper but still yummy. Prices were decent, overall a good place to grab a quick dinner qnd maybe have a drink or two. read more

INCREDIBLE food, you will not regret coming here. Beautiful interior, comfortable seating, friendly staff!

We had a minor plumbing job, so we called someone we know in Johns Creek. It involved replacing a toilet and a water expansion tank. He charged us $2000.00. I was outraged. We paid him , but just want to put the word out for anyone needing plumbing work not to use him. I think he's a thief and dishonest. His name is Morteza Sadi! And after he was done we found out he is not a licensed plumber. read more

Even though you make a reservation. You still had to wait 20 mins and just for the hostess to walk off while talking. Got seated and it took the waitress 15 mins to come over. This place was incredibly good! Free parking and the option to join the waitlist which was a plus. Our server was friendly and attentive. She provided a ton a recommendations which made the ordering process easy. As a table we order shrimp, short ribs, and catfish, oh the famous cornbread. Not one complaint from our party 4! I've had the honey garlic wings, catfish, lobster pasta, cornbread, okra, Mac and cheese and lamb chops. Everything is seasoned perfectly (I say this as a person who hates over and under seasoned food). I usually don't eat at soul food restaurants bc I can make it at home, but this place is the exception. Try it you won't be disappointed. read more

I wanted to love everything about Southern Fire kitchen but the service/hostess staff didn't meet the mark for me. Before arriving a had used the Yelp option to add my name to the waitlist while driving there. While driving I was removed from the waitlist (by the staff) then added back. Once I got there according to my text my table was ready. The hostess at door said the table wasn't and I had to be added to the waitlist again and wait another 45 mins. I will say I was a little frustrated but I waited patiently. (So a word of advice just don't use the Yelp app to get on the waitlist just do it once you arrive). The restaurant it self is not that big inside so once I entered I understood why the wait was so long. It was a cute spot though music was 90s r&b, it was a nice vibe for sure. The food was delicious. As far as food goes there was nothing that was not good. We all loved our food. I'll attach some pictures of what was ordered. Once we took a pause from eating our food we did feel a little rush to get up. The servers were coming to trash our plates but it was like wait a minute can I finish. Overall I would recommend it, I would just say pack your patience. read more

I come to ATL often and I am always trying new spots. I was in the mood for soul food, and I came across this spot. I came across the reviews and tiktoks, and I was prepared for the wait but I was not expecting to wait that long. I wish security would have explained that we could've sat at the bar because I would've opted for that for that to be seated sooner. The waitlist process was disorganized at best, but we move. Once inside, the place is nicely decorated with warm lighting. It is very small, hence the wait, but I didn't feel like people were sitting on top of me. The customer service was just okay to me. The staff that I interacted with weren't rude or nasty but they also weren't very pleasant. As for as my drink, I opted for the Strawberry Lemon Drop. It was good, and I liked how they had tons of options for flavors. The fried lobster appetizer was good, but very salty in my opinion. For my meal I had the fried chicken, with mac and collard greens. The mac and collard greens were a solid 9/10. The chicken although the flavor potential was there it was overpowered by saltiness and oil. I feel like the oil needed to be changed and I could taste it in the chicken. That aside, it was really hard for me to get past the saltiness of the food. I know food in ATL can be heavy on the seasoning, but this was too much for me. Overall my meal was okay, but the star of the show was my drink for me. read more

Music was extremely too loud. Food was subpar. Collard greens had too much sugar. Black eyed peas were very salty. Were we asked to vacate our table as soon as we finished eating. The table was cleared as we were finishing our drinks. Workers were reaching all across us. We were told because they had a large party coming in. However, no one was waiting and there were other empty tables in the restaurant. Server was not friendly and lacked customer service skills. read more

Is nothing like some southern comfort food! There was security outside when we attended on a Thursday afternoon which was surprising because it was about 4 o'clock in the afternoon but I guess it's best to be safe than sorry. As soon as we walked in the ambience was delightful. The decoration lighting the pictures on the wall. Everything was amazing. They also have music playing not loud so it was great. The waiter was great giving us recommendations as this was our first time here so I did appreciate that. There was a little bit of construction going on in the restaurant in the basement I imagine because it sounded like loud banging, but we could not see where it was coming from which I definitely recommend that should be done after hours other than that. Everything else was great. read more

For this to be a new restaurant in the city, I have to say that this is one of the most delicious soul food places in the city. I have come many times and I've often wanted to keep this gym to myself as they are very small location and not very busy but now I just have to let someone know. As soon as they sit down, someone is there to greet you and get your drink orders. It is absolutely amazing how fast they are able to get to you without any confusion it speaks to how they operate during their training. I always get the catfish. It is something that I absolutely enjoy when I come, although I always say tell myself that I'm gonna try something different. The catfish is so amazing me and my friends are always in awe of how good it is inconsistently every single time that we come, they've got a recipe for it and it is absolutely amazing to try catfish when they come . The restaurant is very small yes however, it is very accommodating and for the size it does sit quite a few people without feeling so congested. I greatly appreciate the way they have their booth and table seated and gives you a lot of legroom and space if need to walk up to the bar or even to the bathroom without feeling like you have to squeeze in between anybody. I'm hoping that they decide to spread out and put locations all over Metro Atlanta and kind of spread out and get a bigger layout because this is a place I desperately want a little bit closer to Midtown however I will make the travel out to Brookhaven every single time. read more

I have dined in this establishment twice. Each time the food was amazing. I ordered the turkey chops, Mac n cheese, yams, greens and cornbread. My fiancé ordered the friend whiting of which he also loved. The first time I ordered the frozen blueberry lemonade, it was delicious! My fiancé ordered the frozen blueberry margarita both times but each time they weren't "ready". On the second visit the waitress said they are usually ready around 5:30pm (they open at 4pm). We dined in at 5:30 and 4:30 respectively. Steven opted for the blueberry margarita on the rocks instead and both times he enjoyed them. He said they don't short you on the liquor! I gave 4 stars instead of 5 because both times we dined in, it was HOT. It felt like there was no ac. There was even a large industrial fan inside. For the amount of money you're spending, you'd want to be comfortable. Lastly, they are not kid friendly. They didn't have booster seats or high chairs so both times our experience was largely impacted by having to hold our toddler. I also took in consideration that both times my fiancé wasn't able to order a frozen cocktail due to them "not being ready". Other than these few "odds", the food was good, the restaurant and restrooms were clean and the ambiance was nice. read more

No complaints, it was pretty good soul food. We went with the Chicken, whitting and shrimp plate, everything was yummy. The only two things I didn't really care for was the cornbread and the peach cobbler. Peach cobbler with no ice cream just doesn't seem right. We got lucky and it was only a 90 min wait on a Saturday night. The ambiance is cool but the place is kind of small for its popularity. read more
