Hungry AF 27 Piedmont Ave. NE Atlanta, GA 30305 Jerk Chicken Philly Cheesesteak When l I encountered this southern chain restaurant, I was kind of appalled by its name. The two letters imply a term that emphasizes the extent of one's hunger. One of those words is a four letter word. Regardless of this racy restaurant name, I decided to give this place a try. While the fries were cooked well and perfectly seasoned, the sandwich needs improvement. There was a minimal amount of jerk sauce; If I wanted an extra cup of the sauce, there is an up charge. The interior of the restaurant could also use some work. While I appreciate the attempt of providing a wall AC unit, the electric sliding entrance door kept opening and closing. All of the cool air was escaping making the inside feel humid. There are plenty of table top counters with high rise chairs. However, the chairs do not have back support and they are not comfortable. I actually ended up standing while dining. I tried to give this location a chance. While it may appeal to a younger crowd, it definitely did not catch my eye. #hungryaf #atlantaga #jerkchickencheesesteak #hungryafchain

Food was good, didn't care for wings as much. Thought honey lemon pepper flavor would stand out more. The fried rice w/chicken really good. Chicken and shrimp pasta was good hot. Order to go, seating uncomfortable. Service was decent, wait a little long.

    Rasta Chicken Pasta

My first visit here, and unfortunately it didn't live up to the hype. I ordered the Rasta Chicken Pasta, and what I received was dry mush. There was no sauce and the pasta was so overcooked it had broken down into small scraps, almost like the bottom-of-the-pan leftovers that had been sitting and reheated multiple times over several days. The seasoning itself was good, but seasoning can't save pasta that's turned to mush. The chicken was well-seasoned but extremely dry. After checking photos online and on other posts, it was clear that what I received looked nothing like it was supposed to be. Paying $24 plus parking for a dish this disappointing is absurd. "Disappointing" honestly feels like an understatement. I had high hopes for this place, but my experience fell far short.

While visiting from South Florida, my friends and I stopped here on the way to the State Farm Arena for a concert. We weren't expecting there to be such limited seating. But, we were able to grab a table. The menu looked great and food was ready pretty quickly. While the food looked amazing and tasted okay, none of us were overly excited about our food or plan to return when visiting Atlanta again The Shrimp Hibachi was overly seasoned and the Shrimp Pasta (while seasoned well) was overly sauced... very watery. One of my friends threw her food away after a few bites and ended up walking across the street to try another restaurant... which wasn't any better. This won't be a place we revisit when in town.

Food was delicious and fresh! I enjoyed the pasta it was really hefty, I could not finish it! The service was good, I didn't wait long but I also walked there from Grady. Ambiance is okay - the music was pretty loud, the lobby area was kinda dirty. Food on all the tables, bones from wings. Just felt it could've been wiped down a bit. I would've sat and ate but the tables just weren't clean! The food was delicious though!

The name says it all, and that's exactly what we were (Hungryt AF) one evening when we came back from a day of sports. We walked from our hotel and quickly realized this is the local GSU spot for late-night hunger. Most people placed orders online, but we showed up in person. It was busy, yet our food was ready in about 15 to 20 minutes. I had lemon pepper wings with fries, keeping it classic with a Kool-Aid drink. We also tried the Tray Young sauce (Honey Garlic & lemon Pepper) combo wings with the chicken hibachi rice. I'm not gonna lie, it not only hit the spot but was extremely good. Definitely keeping this on the radar since they have multiple locations around Atlanta. If you're craving wings & more than just fries, this is a spot worth checking out. Next time, I'm doing the Pasta as they have chicken, steak, Rasta and more. I'm all in, even if I'm not "Hungry AF"

it was a busy day, so that way wing is simply a scheme.

I'm ready for a re-do because the flavors are way too good to let my first impression be my only. I ordered the smash n chicks! The smash burger FIYAAAAA I was surprised at the double patty babe, I didn't even need it.. the pickles, cheese errrrrrytbang GOODT on that! Biggest disappointment I ordered the honey garlic lemon pepper wings WHEWWWW first one raw babe???? hello? I was like do I cry or try the next one???? The service??? we was packed in there like sardines they were so stinkinnnn PACKED!!!! The amount of people were a testament to how good the food was!!! but I ordered online so i waited an extra 10 mins aside from my drive.

Service was okay. Workers looked more like they were ready to take the next order and go home. Jerk Philly sandwich didn't give much of those authentic jerk flavors. Would not get again. As for the honey lemon pepper wings they were okay, nothing spectacular.

I wanted to like this so much. We ordered the salmon pasta with wings, burger with wings/fries, wings/fries, a side of fries, and two drinks. The pasta was cooked right but the sauce had an after taste. The salmon was very overcooked and dry. The wings were fried hard, dry, and small (see photo for size reference to my size 6 1/2 finger), that's overcooked in my opinion but some people like that. The sauces were good. Unfortunately, there was a 15 minute wait to order, and a 40 minute wait to pick up. We waited in our car. When I went inside to make sure they had not called our order, a cashier named Centanna was very nonchalant and "unbothered" by me asking and quickly turned away. Very rude. The cashier who took our order and gave us our food was very nice. They also forgot the fries that came with the 15pc wings. The ambiance is extremely busy and freezing cold with only bar style seating.

We ordered wings for a DragonCon panel and had specialty wings

The Scene Hungry AF has that "pull up and handle business" kind of vibe -- no need for a whole production, just good food that speaks for itself. It's the kind of spot you call when you want a sure thing to feed a crowd. Nothing overly fussy, just straightforward flavor and portions that make people pause mid-conversation. The Service Ordering was smooth and pickup was easy. Staff was friendly and kept things moving, even with plenty of other folks coming through. You can tell they understand timing when it comes to party orders -- the food was hot, fresh, and ready when I arrived. Parting Thoughts I grabbed 40 wings for a gathering and let me tell you -- folks didn't even sit down. They were just standing around the platter, munching, talking, and going back for more. Not a wing was left. I'd definitely order from Hungry AF again next time I'm in Atlanta and need a crowd-pleaser that actually delivers

This isn't just a gimmick, though; the execution is legit. You can order a single or a double, and each patty is smashed fresh to order, delivering those lacy, ultra-crispy edges that define a elite smashburger. It's cradled in a potato bun that gets toasted to a perfect light crisp. They even offer generous toppings at no extra charge. Do not skip the sides or the extras here. The fry seasoning is incredible, packed with savory flavor that makes them impossible to stop eating, and their onion rings are a solid choice too. But the real secret weapon is the Sassy Sauce (or "smash sauce"). Do yourself a favor and get a cup on the side for dipping. it's that good. While it's tucked inside a convenience store, there's actually dedicated patio seating set up right behind the gas station if you want to sit outside and eat fresh off the grill. Unconventional location, flawless execution. NFA delivers on every level. This was my 4th visit and the food and service is consistent everytime.

I'd take this over Mister Burger. NFA has that classic ketchup, mustard, and mayo flavor with its signature sauce, while Mister Burger is tasty but leans away from that traditional burger profile. I'm not ready to call it the best burger in Atlanta just yet. Fred's Meat & Bread at Krog Street Market is still my favorite, but Holeman & Finch is next on my list, so stay tuned. My only downside is the Dunwoody location, but honestly it wasn't bad. I made the trip from Buckhead and back in under 30 minutes. There were only two people ahead of me, and I had my food in about five minutes. I've heard the waits can get much longer during busy times, so just keep that in mind.

I loved the caramelized jalepeno slices since they added it beautiful hint of spicy sweetness to the dish. The bread has a nice chew and it does not get soggy fast. - CONS: Not that special. I dont know why it's "korean" since it tasted like a normal cheesesteak but with a few jalapenos. I also wish they added in more jalapenos (I got like 3). 2) Garlic Fries with Ranch: - PROS: Very nice texture with a crispy outside and fluffy inside that is not too dense. The flavor comes from the garlic mince that is on top. The ranch is like a mixture of an aioli and tartar sauce (I think they make it in house, correct me if I'm wrong). - CONS: Inconsistent texture as some of the fries were dense but a few had that good hollow crisp bite. Quite oily too. Overall, I enjoyed the cheesesteak but would probably skip the fries next time. I do believe it is good especially the bread. I don't think it is worth all the hype it gets, but it is good.

Holeman and Finch is known for its burger, and deservedly so, but I can't stress enough how good the other food and drink are here. Looking at the current list of Atlanta restaurants in the Michelin Guide, I think Holeman and Finch deserves to be included. I wonder why they got snubbed. Holeman and Finch relocated to Colony Square in Midtown in February 2023. The restaurant validates parking in the Colony Square garage for two hours. We stayed just over two hours and ended up paying $6. I like to enter and exit the garage via Peachtree St NE. There's also an entrance/exit on 14th St NE, next to The Starling hotel. We used to go to the original location in Brookwood/South Buckhead circa 2010 when only 24 burgers were made per night and released at 10pm. Holeman and Finch existed in that location from 2008 to 2020. It was quite the Yelp hot spot: https://www.yelp.com/biz/holeman-and-finch-atlanta-2 This new location at Colony Square is way more spacious and looks great. There's indoor and outdoor (covered and uncovered) seating. The atmosphere is that of a modern, upscale pub. It's nice. Reservations can be booked on OpenTable, so get those dining points. The Bloody Mary was strong and so delicious that I gulped it down. All of the dishes were beautifully plated and finished. The oysters were fresh, superb quality, and cleanly shucked. They forgot the crackers, but that's okay. I highly recommend the deviled eggs. They were perhaps the best we've ever had anywhere. If you're unfamiliar with Pickapeppa, it's a sweet and savory Jamaican brown sauce that is used to make the mayo for this dish. There was nothing "simple" about the Simple Lettuces salad. It was pretty much a perfect, tasty, and refreshing salad. As for the H+F Cheeseburger, it's a classic and continues to be one of the best burgers around. Every bite is just so good, and the ketchup and mustard remain distinct. If you've never had the burger before, get it here or at H&F Burger at Ponce City Market. The Truist Park version isn't the same and I've never tried the Mercedes-Benz Stadium version (the old Turner Field version was legit, though). If you like gravlax, wow - the gravlax here is amazing and really well made. The Vegetable Plate was terrific as well. It featured potatoes, okra, beans, succotash, mushrooms, onions, peppers, tomatoes, and more with a fried onion ring on top. It's a great dish to share. The Sticky Toffee Pudding was top-notch - exceptional texture and flavor, and perfectly paired with a scoop of dense vanilla ice cream. Our server was Jonathan R.
