I came here with 6 of my other friends and sadly none of us liked what we got. I got the chicken yakisoba noddles. The chicken was very dry and the noodles had no flavor. I had to add a lot of soy sauce and the chili sauce they had. Also there was as much cabbage as there was noodles. My friend got the tonkatsu ramen. I tasted the broth and it was very bland.. My boyfriend got the katsu chicken with rice and said it had a sour taste. He also got the gyoza and said it also tasted sour and was very greasy. My friend got the chatsu bowl and the meat was very salty and chewy and the overall dish was not good. The only thing we can all agree was good was the Mochi ice cream :( read more

So I was walking by the area and my eye caught a sign that said grand opening for Look Poke. It's part of the Look Noodles & More restaurant, a very small shop right next to it. Poke seems to be exploding in popularity in Austin with so many different shops opening up. This one is alright - they had 15% off grand opening so it makes the price better around campus. The poke itself is ok - the fish is average freshness. Everything else is pretty standard - nothing really stands out. I got a bowl with brown rice, spicy mayo, salmon, tuna, avocado, seaweed salad, crab and some garlic. I didn't see the avocado and the seaweed salad cost extra - was mildly surprised since it isn't extra at some other places but guess they don't make it in house? The avocado I would have liked a bit more for what I paid. So, case in point if you're craving poke near campus, its an option. Just don't know how it will compare to the other on the north side of campus. read more

I ordered here for delivery since I was craving some ramen on a cold night; I chose the chashu ramen bowl and added pork dumplings as a side. The ramen itself was good and the broth was tasty and savory, my only complaint is that the chashu pork pieces were too large and very tough to chew. I personally prefer when they prepare them thinly sliced more like pork belly style. I think next time I will try their chicken ramen and avoid the pork altogether. I placed an order through Favor the other night and was pleasantly surprised. My dish was the Hibachi tofu & veggies. Very tasty, well portioned and the rice legit melted in my mouth. I think the menu is too broad which makes it hard for them to really put out good quality food. the fried rice wasn't good but it wasn't bad, just tasted average. It kinda tasted like it was just heat up in the microwave if i'm being honest. I could make better fried rice than that. The poke was okay. Its good for the price, but I wish it didn't come in a to-go container... usually it's in a regular bowl but idk maybe they're being stingy with the portions now. This is a good place for where it's located - near campus. It's definitely not shin ramen, but it's not like the most awesome ramen either. I got the tonkatasu ramen, and it's what you expect - some good pork + good noodles + good broth. The mochi is solid though, and it was served with impeccable timing. As we finished eating the ramen, we ate the mochi and it was tasty yet not too hard where it would have been impossible to chew through. Location was neat so we decided to try this out for starters. Ordered a couple of sides- beef eggrolls and veggie dumplings. Sadly, both the dumplings and the eggrolls were over fried and the taste of old oil was present. On top of that, they ended up giving me pork dumplings so I could not eat them. Now don't get me wrong, the ramen was good and the service was fine. BUT I ordered the Veggie Ramen (I'm vegan) and even asked to make sure it was vegan. The lady just hurriedly nodded but I'm not super uptight so I just trusted that it was. However, once I was already more than halfway done with the ramen, I started noticing chunks in the supposedly vegetarian soy-based broth that looked startlingly similar to animal fat. I try not to be suspicious, but these pieces were floating everywhere. I didn't get upset or yell at anyone but I just won't take my business here in the future. So I recently discovered this restaurant from a friend who told me this place was very good. I went in to go try it and it was not very good. The Tonkotsu ramen was not at all what I was expecting. Not only was the food pretty bland and flavorless, but the workers were very unwelcoming as they told me not to park on their parking lot although I was going to their restaurant. So they just naturally assumed I wasn't going to their restaurant? I'd rather take my business somewhere else such as Ramen Tatsu-ya or Jin near Domain. Will not be going again. read more

Ive been here once before and had ramen, which was pretty good. Today I came in at lunch for a poke bowl, and wasn't as impressed this time. The staff that was working behind the counter wasn't wearing plastic gloves handling food. The ordered the ocean bowl and it was just alright. A little over saturated from the sauce that was put on my bowl, and the fish didn't seem as fresh as it should be. I about half of it and called it quits. I would probably say this is more 2.5 stars. I got the Tonkotsu Ramen + extra egg. The egg that comes with the ramen is a half, and the add on is the full egg (my friend and I were wondering this before we ordered). I ordered through Uber Eats and it was a very seamless process and the food was still hot. Onto the ramen. I was having trouble describing how I felt about it. It's no where near the level of Daruma or Tatsu-ya but is most similar to Michi. My friend asked if it tasted like "fast food ramen" and that was honestly the perfect way to put it. All the flavors are technically semi-present but you can tell it's the budget version. The broth needed more salt and didn't have the right density - it was the weakest part. It wasn't as lush and flavorful as it should be. The egg was cold and it seemed like the flavor was a little weak. Even the corn somehow tasted and looked lower quality than other places and I wouldn't have thought I could just tell the difference in corn. The bright side is they use good noodles (fitting for a place with noodles in the title). All that being said, I'm lazy, and would probably order again if I wanted delivery lol. I suppose this would be a good place to go for people who wanted a lot of different food options besides just ramen to pick from. read more
