I really, really want to like South Town Pie. It smells amazing when you walk past their storefront, and my nose never steers me wrong. Well, almost never. I went for a slice of pepperoni, and unfortunately this pizza was extremely floppy. So much so that I couldn't eat it folded because the tip kept drooping. I don't have a problem with greasy pizza, but not if it overwhelms the crust. Maybe I got unlucky, because it looks great in photos. The service is really friendly and the whiskey selection is good, so I wouldn't rule out a return visit. Hope I just caught them on a bad day.

    Cheese slice.

PLEASANT ATMOSPHERE, FRIENDLY SERVICE, GOOD PIZZA. My friends know I'm a pizza snob from New York where I grew up in Manhattan. I've said It before and I'll say it again. "The best pizza slice is in New York, And the best New York slice is in Brooklyn. " Ok so that's out of the way. The pizza here is New York style, the crust is almost perfect. Holds up to the fold test. The topping may be a little light but is tasty. Most slices are of course, reheated, so unless you have a really good cheese and sauce, the topping tends to dry out. Personally, if I'm at a pizza stand and see one come out of the oven, I always ask for a slice from the fresh one. There is no shame in this and you will usually be accommodated. The place is split in two. On one side is the pizza Joint, on the other is a full sports bar! You can sit at the bar and order your slice or pie. This was really fun. The bartender was great and fun to chat with. I would go back next time I'm in the area. Cheers!

Veggie like ratatouille and sausage with fennel ! Both were very good
    Ginny C.

The pizza here is so good! The slices are warmed up before serving and had a nice crunch. I thought the sausage and fennel pizza was perfect and not too salty. My friend really enjoyed the cheese slice & the veggie slice. The veggie slice has eggplant, zucchini, and yellow squash like ratatouille on pizza. The sauce on it was different and more of a orange color. My friend said it was delicious! 100% would return

There are two doors you can go into, the one on the left is the one for the bar and to be seated to eat, the right is for pickup and orders for only pizza. They have booths lining the wall and a bar as well as a few tables. There are two TVs with sports on. The bartender, Grant, was very nice and helped us fast. The Mac and cheese was okay but the sauce was a lil sub par and it was dry, I wouldn't order that again. The jalapeños were super spicy since they didn't take the seeds out but they were bomb. The pizza was so yummy! The crust was so good, a little crisp on the outside and chewy on the inside and not too thick to be overwhelming. We will definitely be back again.

I just ordered pizza, brought it home and the bottom of the pizza is super burnt... ate it and it was sour. I am absolutely disappointed. Pizza should not be burnt. I do not know why they served this to us.

This place serves up some excellent pizza! Wow! We just had a couple of Unicorn Slices... (daily specials)... Today was wild boar ragu, crispy sage and Funyuns. Yes, Funyuns on the pizza. Yum. Happy hour 2-6 with $1 off slices and pints. Quite a nice selection of craft beers - lots of different styles. Slices are cheese, pepperoni, sausage, specialty (rotates among their specialty pies), daily veggie and Unicorn. Great environment and great service. A couple of TVs for watching sports.

It's the kind of place where you settle in, sip something cold, and feel like the night's off to a solid start before a concert at the Moore. The salad came out looking vibrant, but the flavors didn't land. The olives took over the whole bowl, and the seasoning felt off and I couldn't pinpoint it. Fresh ingredients, such as the peas were the best by far but the balance just wasn't there. The pizza was fine, not bad, not memorable. It didn't leave you thinking about it later. The charcuterie board wasn't anything to rave about either just an average plate. Still, the vibe alone makes it a decent spot to meet up, snack, and enjoy the space! The service was great!

The pizza itself is actually pretty good, which is why I kept coming back and really wanted to support this small business. Unfortunately, the customer service and wait times have consistently been disappointing. Tonight, I stood at the entrance for about 10 minutes before anyone even acknowledged or greeted me. The employee who eventually helped me was nice, but the overall experience still didn't feel welcoming or attentive. Over several visits, the service has just not matched the quality of the food. In this economy, it's truly a blessing for businesses to still have loyal customers coming through the door and wanting to support local spots. At the very least, customers should feel welcomed, appreciated, and taken care of when they walk in. I genuinely hope they improve the service side of things because the food has potential, the bar vibes they've created are pretty cool as well and I'd love to be able to give this place a better review in the future.

Upon arrival after 9:00 pm on a Tuesday, we asked to set in one of the booth but they said no because of their strict policy for the booth the used x 3 or more people. Meanwhile, all 4 booth were empty. The kind waitress then offered to move us to the bar booth if something opened up, we kindly agreed and simple went on with our night at different table. While on the table my friend picked up 3 small little flowers from the base and said happy birthday to me, and I put the little flowers on my hair, then I told the waitress I hope you don't mind, my friend gave this little flowers from the table it is my birthday, to which the waitress replied happy birthday, I have no problem with that!. Then comes the manager, and tells me sarcastically, that is a cute flower but it is not yours to take, you should have asked permission anyways, I told him with a smile, but is my birthday and it a tiny flower may I keep it? He stated no, because other costumers will come in and there are no flowers in the table. I told him to replace it with another from another table and he said No give it back now please. It is not yours to take!!! Me, already feeling unwelcome and missed treated, yet still stayed but couldn't even finish my pizza because of how upset I was. I told my friend I wanted to leave. After closing the tab, I walked upfront and waited for my friend. Upon walking outside, the managers comes after us screaming "hey give me back the flower" you took it, at this point I was still walking ahead on my friend and I can hear the manager yelling "she stole it" give it back now, she is a thief, you come here to steal is that it? I repeatedly, told him I didn't take it and even open my purse and told him to come search it, but he stormed back in while insulting and yelling to me IN PUBLIC! - I was deeply humiliated in front of absolute strangers. I didn't see my friend taking the flower either, and if he did, he never gave it to me otherwise, I would have throw it at his face. The luck of hospitality, professionalism, and simply compassion and dignity from this person is Absolutely Unacceptable. I was treated with far more respect and the Four Seasons (and they did give me flowers), than this ridiculous place. It is a shame that the owner would allow someone like this to be the front of the business. And I feel deeply sorry for their employees to have to endure this person as I saw on their eyes the embarrassment they felt. I deserve nothing else but an apology for the way I was treated. I too work in hospitality, I know what is like to provide costumer service providing healthcare and never in my wildest days would I ever treat anyone with such disrespect and unprofessionalism. I recommend this person to be replace or re train. Otherwise it will only affect the business.

If that line is intimidating or wet (think rain!) then duck inside to Pizza and Pasta Bar for a delicious meal. While there we met the owners Bruno and Goli who were helping out behind the counter. They are the nicest people ever! So friendly and accommodating and always smiling. Their pride in their restaurant really shows in their care of the food and customers. I had the infamous meatball sandwich and my wife had the chicken carbonara. They gave us each a slice of their pizza for free as they had a bit extra from one that just came out of the oven. The food was prepared in front of you which is always interesting to watch and the charming brick pizza oven was directly in front of us so we could watch that process as well. Pretty cool. There are a wide variety of pizzas and pastas, desserts and drinks (alcohol too!) available on the menu. We ate at at the bar and had a wonderful conversation with the owners as they bustled about in the open cooking area. I enjoyed my meatball sandwich which had great crunchy crusty bread that held in the contents of melted cheese, red sauce and meatballs. A great choice to get when there. My wife liked her chicken carbonara and as the portion was pretty large, we were able to take some home for later. Extra yummy for me (ha ha)! The complimentary pizza slices were a hit for us as well. Napoli style with thin crust and flavorful toppings. We found out that Goli created the restaurant's design with the face of a woman that looks a lot like Venus in "The Birth of Venus" painting by Botticelli in the Uffizi Gallery in Florence Italy (just sayin'). Except that this logo has hair made of pasta! Good enough to eat! Give this place a try. You'll leave with a big smile on your faces!

The oysters were the main draw for me, and they were totally worth the visit. Old Stove serves them with a savory watermelon sauce in addition to a traditional cocktail sauce--eaten together, it's a flavor explosion that I can't quite describe. We also enjoyed the garlic everything fries, which were delicious! We just had to try a flight to sample the brews. There are some really good beers available here, especially the Belgian blonde, citra pale ale, and the stout. I did not really care for the seasonal sour (grapefruit, I think)--to me, it just tasted like a sour and nothing more, but someone with more interest in sour beers would probably enjoy it just fine. Despite the busy night, our server checked on us regularly and was very personable, stopping to chat with us about the local sports scene. There's plenty to look at, inside and out. If you can snag a seat outside, you'll get to enjoy the waterfront. Inside, the decor is industrial but fun. Not sure if this runs all the time, but when we were there, the tvs were playing vintage beer ads, which was quite fun. They also sell some pretty good t-shirt designs. Unfortunately, the experience is consistently dampened by one of weekend bartenders. As others have mentioned, it's that taller bartender (Alex?) who repeatedly comes across as arrogant and dismissive to us; a less than desirable character trait for a bartender. It's such a pity because that is the sole reason we now lead our groups to spend their money and patronize other establishments instead. Recently we did give Diller another try, but sadly it's the same story and thus this feedback. Hospitality makes a HUGE difference. Bartending isn't just about making a good drink and expecting tips. As someone who tended bar all over Seattle for 23 years, I know how much energy and attitude shape a guest's night. When the service feels cold and passive-aggressively rude, it's hard to feel good about the experience. It's disappointing, because this place has so much potential. Hopefully management considers bringing in weekend staff whose personalities reflect the warmth and atmosphere the space deserves, there are plenty of more qualified bartenders in Seattle that would gladly fill their spot.
