In 2013, this company which had just opened did a fantastic job restoring my 1991 Toyota celica convertible including a referral to a nearby business to put on a new clothtop. Time was not a factor since this was my backup vehicle. However in 2016, when I brought in my wrecked Nissan, they took 2 long, excruciating weeks to even schedule an estimate (insurance company only gives a rental for 2 weeks). Then attempted to charge a storage fee. The insurance company was able to move the car to another nearby auto collision shop and after 3 long weeks of going back and forth, let me pick up the key to the Nissan to give to the other collision shop. My guess is that they grew faster than their ability to service. What a shame. read more

My car had a crash and I had to pay all from my pocket. Morning Oct 11, 2022 Sidiq roughly estimated on the phone the cost of $8,500 to repair my car (based on pictures I texted him). I agreed with the price because the estimate is less than another estimate about 3k. I let him had my car towed to his body shop so he can do the actiual estimate. At noon the same day 10/11/22, after my car arrived at the shop, I texted him asking him when I should receive his estimate, he texted me he will email me it by afternoon 10/12/2022. But I did not received the email until the afternoon 10/13/22. Thus he delayed the estimate about 2 days including his late email. Because the estimate of $18.000 from the email is unexpected "balloon" estimate that is more than double from the verbal estimate. I met him on 10/14/22 at his shop. He said I must either go with $18k to repair my car or paying $1,100. He rejected my offer/ negotiate $11,000 (the same amount with another autobody estomate). After our negotiation over the cost failed to reach an agreement he told me to pay him $1,100 so I can have my car back. He stated clearly he would not release the key to me unless I pay it and if I don't pay then $100 per day for parking fee would be added to the charge. This is unexpected charge that he never disclose to me any of these charge before he had my car towed to his body shop (these itemized charges of $1,100 are unreasonable and all incorrect: towing fee of $250 (should be $150), parking fee based on number of days my car parked there is 4 (should be 3 because It is from 10/11 to 10/14. Anyway, he created these parking days by his delay and late estimate), the labor cost based on hours of disassemble the parts is 7 hours when it should be 1 or 2 hours (I never approved and he never notice me he would disassemble the parts of my car), cost of waste is not true (I got back all the parts including the unusable parts that he disassembled and the waste they put left in my car. I had video recorded with him that I didn't not agree to pay this charge but I was forced to pay this charge to get my car. I DISPUTED the amount with my credit card company. They finally permanently credit back me the amount Sidiq charged me after investigation for 1 month. Eventually I had my car done with $11,000 with Skyline auto bodyshop. read more

I first met with Elizabeth about the repairs needed for my SUV Cadillac. She was on point with cost, time and pick up. Great customer service from the start. Three days later I picked up my vehicle and met with Sadiq. It was perfect - I even had the vehicle detailed and Sadiq went over the procedures of their detailing operation. It was worth it and I paid less then the detailing from the dealership and car wash venues. Overall, great experience and the repairs and detailing should get more than five stars. read more

This is a journal of my experience with South Riding Auto. The star rating will be in progress. It could go up or down over the process. 7/7/15: Contacted them for the first time. They were on a list of recommended repair shops by Ameriprise. (I get $100 credit on my deductible for using recommended repair shop.) Jennifer picked up the phone and was very knowledgeable about Ameriprise policies and the approval and repair process. She has a direct link into the Ameriprise system. They have their own tow trucks. At 1:30 pm, she said they will pick up the car today and have an estimate for me tomorrow. They will disassemble the damaged area to look at where other damages may have occurred. She said it will take two days for Ameriprise to approve the repair and 3 days to order the parts. After that, figure about 5 days to complete the repair (she said 1day/5 hrs of labor). Five stars for Jennifer! read more

After being rear ended , our auto insurance company sent us a list of a few auto body shops in our area. We are so glad we picked this place! South Riding auto have the best customer service. They did an excellent job on fixing my car! Rental car was ready for us when we went to drop off our car! Sadiq - the store manager is the best engineer I have come across so far! He is polite and made sure he handed my car looking like new! He promised all the parts he used were original and I truly trust him for that! Our car was ready for pick up exactly on the day he had promised us! He even gave me some tips on how to keep my car safe! Not only that, he gave me a small bottle of the paint just in case I needed some touch ups in the future! Now, no body can beat that! Driving on I-95 I hit a blown out tire on my leased car and damaged my fender, fender liner, bumper and splash guard. No idea how I was going to get it fixed on the Friday before Labor Day weekend before my drive back to NYC on Monday. Stopped by South Riding since it was 15 mins from my in-laws. Service was great from start to finish.They brought my car in right away, ordered a replacement liner from a nearby parts store, got everything up and running in a couple hours. My classic car needed to have the hood repainted, as well as a ding repaired that could not be done with PDR. After pricing out several body shops from Arlington to Chantilly, I settled on South Riding Collision Center. Sadiq, the owner, runs a clean, organized shop equipped with modern equipment. His price was extremely competitive and they ended up doing a fantastic job for me. The paint matched the exisitng color perfectly and the dent is gone. They even emailed me photos of progress on the repairs/paint so I'm confident they did the job the right way!! I was paying out of pocket for all of this work. Insurance was not involved. The price ended up being the price, with no surprises, or comebacks. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone. If they can do such a great job on a classic automobile, I would imagine a modern car would be a piece of cake. It's definitely worth the ride out to get a free estimate. I brought my 2007 BMW 328XI in for a makeover. It had a nice big dent in the passenger door, a scrape on the rear bumper where the paint was removed and a white scrape on the front bumper. I brought the car in to have all these impairments taken care of. The facility is very clean and the receptionist is very pleasant. Sadiq handled the repairs on my car and to be honest I was a little nervous bringing it there since I knew nothing about the facility. Sadiq is so pleasant and he took care of all the issues with my car in a timely fashion making it look like new again. Brought our 2014 Subaru XV Crosstrek to SRAC after it was rear-ended at a stop light. Vehicle had $3000 worth of damage. The staff at SRAC are fantastic. They did an exceptional job and were cheaper than the substandard shop the insurance company suggested I go for repairs. They were very thorough and the car looks as good as new. I absolutely love this place. I have never needed work done on my vehicles, so when someone hit my vehicle merging into my lane I was upset and facing a new experience that I felt unprepared for. After reading the reviews for this place I decided to go in for an estimate. They explained to me a ball park figure for the work that needed to be done as well as advised me on the best options concerning the insurance company I would go through to get my vehicle repaired. The person who hit me used Hartford Insurance and South Riding Auto Collision had done work with them before. From then on South Riding Collision dealt with the insurance company. They took apart my car to take pictures of the damage in order to make sure there wasn't any surprise work needed under the exterior. Their ball park figure was accurate and my vehicle was done in a timely fashion. They were always courteous and in constant contact, letting me know what was going on every step of the way. Hopefully I never need them again, but if I do, I will definitely be using them for any future work needed on my vehicles. read more
