I'll start by saying this is the body shop for a more discerning customer who actually understands that complexities of matching paint and wants things done properly, not quick and cheap. D&V has been the go to shop for my fleet of work trucks as well as my multiple project vehicles over the years and I have nothing but good things to say about their attention to detail and integrity. The most recent project they completed for me was a complete repaint of my 1991 Nissan Skyline in which they replaced the left rear quarter panel, both rocker panels and addressed various other locations in which rust had started to spread. It took right around a year which was to be expected for a project of this scope and my car looks incredible. Every panel was properly stripped, prepped and painted. The finish is consistent across the entire body, even the engine bay and trunk. The entire time my car was there the whole team was very communicative and kept me in the loop anytime they encountered something that required my opinion or additional parts/labor. Just to start off my work always recommends people to here so I thought it'd be a good idea to take my car here. It was anything but nice. They told me 4 months to replace and paint everything but then took 6 months because they kept forgetting parts after telling me they had them all. Then while trying to get in touch for updates they wouldn't answer and I'd leave voicemails and emails with no responses. Funny enough when I get my car back the clutch goes out not even 5 minutes into driving it but I'm not blaming them for that. But when I put in the clutch I thought I'd finally be able to drive the car but no somehow my ac isn't working anymore and my brake lights aren't even showing up anymore. I don't know how this even happened but both were working before I took it to this terrible shop. Will never bring any of my cars here again and won't recommend any of my customers here. read more

D&V did a great job with my repair, and initially did a great job keeping me updated while coordinating with the insurance company. Repair was only to the body, but took over a month. They are busy and couldn't take my car for about a week and a half after calling. Repair was done right and the paint job was adequate. Several emails a week kept me updated on everything. After the repair, there was a scuff I hadn't noticed before. This was not D&V's fault, and they were thorough enough to document it. They provided photos after I asked if they had noticed it. I asked how much it would be to take care of those and did not get a response. That's the only reason I'm docking a star. This shop was recommended to me by a friend in the automotive community. My car was vandalized and I had to make an insurance claim for the damages. Since my car was going under the knife, I decided to address a very small rust issue as well in order to protect the longevity of my vehicle. I am absolutely blown away by how good my experience has been working with this establishment. First of all they were a breeze to work with when it came to my insurance (Progressive). Secondly, they were able to address my rust issue separate of the insurance claim and made that process a breeze. Third, I had this done during a global pandemic. I am adhering to very strict protocols when it comes to safety. I was able to do contactless drop off and pick up, inspections outside, all staff I saw were wearing masks, and they were very respectful of keeping their distance from me whenever I asked them for it. I felt like a VIP the entire process. I requested updates and they came through with crystal clear communication the whole time, providing photos and updates and every target they set for completion was met. Their billing was also very clear and concise, from estimate to final invoice. I don't think I'll ever use another body shop again as long as I live in the DMV. Took my car here for an estimate to repair a few door dings and scrapes, and they told me it could be anywhere from $3k-$12k, and could take months! If the estimate was a little lower I was considering paying out of pocket instead of putting an insurance claim in. They said: 1. they might need to repaint the front and rear quarter panels in addition to the doors to blend the paint. 2. if they need to do repaint the front and rear quarter panels they might need to replace a bunch of parts that are single-use only (like the EV charging port) 3. with all of this work it won't make sense to pay out of pocket 4. My insurance provider State Farm is a huge pain to work with because they fight every line item on repair bills, including labor and parts. and they can draw the process out for months! 5. after all of this, since it's a Ford EV, it might even need to go to the Ford dealer for recalibrating of sensors. Naturally all of this turned me off from getting relatively minor door dings repaired at all. I can handle a reasonable bill, but I can't go potentially months without my car. I ended up going to a different shop for a second opinion (CARSTAR in purcellville, who I highly recommend), and they quoted me $1800 and one week to completion. They said from the beginning it was a simple job that required no paint blending to other panels, or replacing any major parts. And no recalibrating of any sensors would be needed. Basically everything D&V told me was not true. Since the estimate was much lower I decided to just pay out of pocket. So I don't know what D&V's deal is. Maybe the estimator was not very experienced, maybe they didn't want to work on my car for some reason, or maybe they were trying to price gouge my insurance company. The crystal pearl white is difficult to paint match, and unfortunately the paint looked obviously off with the rest of the car. After a small accident, I took my Mustang Mach-E to D&V Autobody on the recommendation of another Mach-E owner. These are first model year vehicles, and parts are hard to come by even when not facing covid and supply chain interruptions. Being patient for my repairs was hard, but when my car was returned, the work was impeccable and the car was even detailed and cleaned FAR better than it was when I purchased it from the dealership just a couple of months beforehand. To note, I felt like the turnaround time on my repair was long -- six weeks -- and I wrote a lot of that off to the car being new and parts being unavailable. However, when I spoke to my insurance adjuster, I asked her if this was a typical turnaround time for the repair I was having done, and she assured me that it was virtually ubiquitous across the country due to the aforementioned covid and supply chain issues. The paint matching was absolutely flawless. Panel alignment was fantastic, and here's an interesting one--the locking mechanism on the tailgate (which they replaced) works smoother and faster now than it did when it was factory new. I'm not even sure how that happens, but it's the case. At one point I was worried that a feature that was working when I drove in wasn't when I drove out, but I also knew that feature to be "flaky" anyway. Because I hadn't seen it work since I picked it up, I made that comment on my review form but clearly stated that it could just be the car being flaky. They called me quickly afterward asking me to bring the car back in so they could look at it -- no hesitation. As it happened, the feature worked shortly thereafter, so I didn't take them up on the offer, but they made multiple attempts to contact me to ensure I was happy. If I were in another accident (but seriously, I hope not), I'd use them again without question. read more

All I can about this place is Wow! Normally visiting a body shop is about as pleasant as visiting the dentist. I consider myself an expert on Accidents and body work unfortunately and have the DMV driving records and high insurance bills to prove it. So needless to say I have seen my fair share of body shops over the years. Typically the body shop experience is full of sub par work, unfilled promises,un realistic time frames and nightmares exchanging phone calls with the insurance company back and forth between the body shop. So going into this I was ready for the same ole experience. Upon the recommendation of a Friend I found D & V Autobody and boy it was one of the smartest decisions I have ever made. One word sums this place up....AMAZING...... Every thing about the experience I had here exceeded my wildest dreams of what I body shop would be. From the cleanliness of the Shop(so clean you could eat of the floor) to the hospitality of the the owners parents & their son's(gotta love a family business), and the craftsmanship and quality of the work they do. I have a 5 year old Ruby Red Metallic Mustang that got smacked on the front bumper in a parking lot. This is not an easy color to match, but D & V Autobody matched it perfectly!!!! Eddie was our Estimator and he communicated with me and my husband during the entire process, and provided pictures as they progressed. He knew I was nervous, and never made us feel like we were bothering him when we called. The repair and paint peeps are truely talented too. Other autobody shops only wanted to paint the bumper cover, but D & V blended the paint out on the hood and the fenders too. I am incredibly particular about this car, and I am also an artist (so I would notice if the color wasn't right). I am thrilled with the job D & V Autobody did. I own a 2010 Saab - GM shut Saab down in 2011 so it is very difficult to find replacement body parts. The right side of my car was damaged from bumper to bumper and a friend suggested that I take it to D & V Auto Body. They did an amazing job! When I brought my car in for an estimate I met with Mike - we went over the damage etc and he sent me an estimate within 2 days. Due to the lack of readily available replacement parts I was told it would be about 4 weeks before my car would be repaired - I thought 4 weeks was VERY reasonable. Mike asked how often I wanted to be updated on the progress - I told him I didn't need to be updated if things were moving along as scheduled and that he only needed to call if there were any major changes to the estimated cost or repair time. I received one phone call from Mike - he told me they were finally able to track down a part they were looking for but that it would take about 2 weeks for it to come in. He told me that he had his guys repair the existing part to see if he would be happy with it. He told me they did a very good job repairing the damaged part and asked if I wanted to come in and take a look, or if I wanted to have the replacement part delivered in 2 weeks. I told him that if he was happy with the repair that I would trust his judgement and that he didn't need to order the part and wait 2 weeks for it to arrive. I picked up my car - earlier than the estimated date - and it looked incredible. Mike pointed out the part that was repaired rather than replaced and if he didn't tell me which part it was I would never have known - it was perfect. D & V did fantastic work - my car was ready earlier than promised, it was a little less expensive than the estimate (due to repairing one part vs replacing it) and it looked like I just drove it out of the showroom. I hope I don't need any auto body repairs in the future, but if I do I'd only go to D & V and I'd ask for Mike. read more

Undisputed best autobody shop in Northern VA. I've heard (from people who are not affiliated with D&V) that people make the drive from as far as Rockville (no joke when you consider the traffic in Sterling/before the bridge in MD in the mornings/afternoons). I believe it considering the way they treat their customers and do outstanding work. Yes, they work with most car insurance (Geico for sure) which is frosting on the cake. If you own an exotic, care deeply about it and have done the research, you are going to (or rather, should) take it to their Masters location (check it out sometime for cars like Rolls Royce, McLaren, Ferrari, Porsche, etc.). Ron Maharaj (incredibly polite) and Toni (awesome receptionist) provided a great experience and took care of me for some warranty work. They even provided complementary detailing via Xtreme Auto Details (hereafter referred to as XAD). Darnell went above and beyond helping me out when I found some water spots (picked up my car when it was raining probably just from opening the door to do some checks). I detail my own car and do all of the maintenance except alignments so I'm extremely sensitive to those things on fabric seats. To be honest, most people wouldn't have even noticed. Darnell did not give me the feeling that I was nitpicking however and we talked for quite some time (not related to the water stain)and he was very generous with his time. I got the feeling that this was a business that prioritizes customer service. I actually didn't even get asked to write a Yelp review. Very welcoming atmosphere considering people are usually very upset and not their best selves when they visit this business. Was definitely a treat to have someone detail my car for me (my interior is usually clean so I don't have to detail it). XAD did an amazing job getting rid of the lint fuzz that accumulates on the dash/stereo/air vents and I believe coated the WeatherTech floor liners I have with some sort of coating. I'm guessing CarPro PERL, but I'm not 100% sure. Could be 303 Aerospace protectant? Anyways, they did a fantastic job. My next big interior detailing purchase will probably be a steam cleaner... I have already recommended several people and will continue to do the same. Have now been here two times (for same car), but if I ever need body work done in VA, it will be here. P.S. - They have a very well-stocked refrigerator next to the TV (straight from the entrance) that contains various sodas, juices (apple and orange), bottled water, yogurt, etc. I jokingly suggested they get a smoothie machine, but it sounds better every time I think about it. See tips section for long WiFi password (it is on the table near the sofas to the right of the entrance). Also, this may be kinda weird, but their restrooms are the cleanest of any business/office/house I have ever been to in my life. It's clean to the point where I'm not sure if someone runs in immediately after someone goes to the bathroom to clean it up. It is absolutely spotless. Definitely gives you a case-in-point of the attention to detail the employees here have. I would like to throw a personal shout out to whoever maintains the restrooms. They even have a cute little handheld air freshener that does literal puffs of air. How cool is that!? In other words, it is one puff no matter how long you hold onto the "trigger." I made an appointment 4 days in advance to have faulty door moldings replaced along with (2) new running boards to be installed to my 2016 Toyota Highlander. The moment I arrived I was greeted by Kevin who is the owner of D & V Auto Body who is such a nice personable likable guy! All the employees were equally as hospitable, they just couldn't do enough for me while I waited for my truck to be completed. The whole job took about (4) hours to complete. While I was waiting next to the front desk watching TV I was so happy to hear and see how all the customers ranted and raved when they saw their vehicles restored back to new condition. When my truck was completed I was not shocked to how well everything came out, I expected nothing less. Long time lurker, never a reviewer... going out of my way to write my first review and give priase where deserved. Dropped off my car to get my rear bumper repaired for some scuffs/scratches from an unknown hit and run incident. Experience: Worked with Travis who was very helpful throughout the whole process, start to finish. Explained all the steps the shop would take to repair the bumper, was very transparent with their process and followed up every day with updates. D&V actually got my car back to me earlier than the expected (along with a nice detail!). D&V staff also offered to stay past closing time to make sure I picked up my car and avoid the extra day of rental I would have to pay if I didn't pick it up. Travis also gave me an extra bottle of touch up paint for the car. The actual work: Travis did warn when repainting plastic bumpers, the color may not always come out to a 100% match to the metal quarter panels adjacent to the bumper. Looking over the repaired bumper, seems pretty accurate to me - can't even tell it was repainted! This is a shop where you can leave your car and trust it will be taken care of. read more

In 2017 my Honda Accord was rear ended by a large pickup truck causing extensive damage to the rear. Travis, the gentleman who helped us throughout the whole process of getting the car repaired, would send me updates on a weekly basis either through a phone call or email and this was one thing that I really appreciated. In a few weeks time.my car looked as good as new. I recently got into a fender bender and the insurance company I'm working recommended D&V Autobody for repairs. I work about 5 minutes from the shop and drive past it almost every day, so it really worked out perfectly. From start to finish, I experienced nothing but professionalism and great service. The front desk staff were always so kind and helpful. They communicated with the rental car company to set up pick up and even returned my rental car for me afterwards. I received phone calls daily from Carla, the estimator, to provide me an update on the status of my vehicle. When my car was done, it looked brand new! Mind you, it's a 2008 Toyota Corolla, so it's far from new. I was taken back by the work they did. Even my coworker who always jokes with me about my car was shocked by how good it looked. I can't recommend this company highly enough!! Everyone was exceptionally professional and polite. My own insurance company wanted to replace the windshield of my 4 month old car with one from the salvage yard. D&V caught that on the work order and called the insurance company and got me a new windshield from the factory. They did a great job and were responsive and kind. They do take longer than most body shops, but it's because they go over your vehicle with a fine tooth comb to make sure they don't miss a thing. Great job- won't take my car anyplace else- ever. They do good work, but communication is severely lacking. Sometimes the receptionist will leave a message about your car's status with another employee who then will not call you back. Several times during our most recent project, we were given a date they would be finished and then it moved. The day it was ACTUALLY finished, the night before, they told me that they would call to confirm it was really done at 9 a.m. for a 10-12 pickup window. Instead, I had to call them at 2 p.m. to find out it would be ready at 4 p.m. It took them almost a month to complete a simple job from someone rear-ending the vehicle in a parking lot. Apparently, Nissan parts were on backorder, but I don't know why a place this large doesn't keep parts for common vehicles (Nissan, Ford, Toyota, etc.) on hand or why it takes them weeks when I can go online and order any car part 1-2 days shipping. The rigmarole was pretty maddening. Again, they are very friendly people who do excellent work, and they were apologetic about all the mix-ups. But I'm definitely now considering whether I might try a different shop next time. (Because in northern Virginia, some idiot will inevitably rear end one of my vehicles again or side swipe me.) read more

The girlfriend and I took her car here for some insurance work. Their first & second (potentially third) attempt on fixing the issue didn't turn out as well as we had liked. Paint match / drips / paint degradation. The customer service rep we were dealing with was very defensive and not helpful. I will say they take their reputation very seriously, after getting publicly vocal about our unhappiness we were immediately contacted by Ron. I wish we had dealt with Ron from the get go, the level of customer service & quality of the work was like a light switch. He went over the car with us personally & didn't defend issues we pointed out. Gave us a rental car again, promised to work around our schedule, and offered a free detail for the inconvenience (we prefer the work to be done right over a handout, but I'll admit it was a very nice touch & made the GF happy). Ron kept us updated on the progress, which made it nice with our schedule/distance to the shop. Bottom line: we got the car back & the work was done perfectly, even with a pearl white. So much so that I wondered how our initial experience was possible. The car wasn't just washed detailed, definitely some wax application & interior conditioning. Ron reached back out to us and explained where they went wrong & what was changed to correct it from happening in the future. The work speaks for itself. I'm a car enthusiast and even though this was just a daily driver repair I can see they are capable of doing the quality of work I would seek out. Who does that these days????? We all go places where we have to go, but these folks make you WANT to go there. Unbelievable. Don't know why they're so amazing, but they are. I was sent there a few years ago by the insurance company of someone who'd hit me. Work was great, timely, but even crazier, I'd gone to pick up my car and they were closed.. the 'owner' was outside talking with someone, and he said that he could open back up for me.
