She's been unbelievably accommodating, especially with my wife's extra logistical requests during all this chaos. You know how most shops give you that "we'll call you" energy and then vanish? I took my car to Dulles Coachworks on 1 FEB 2026 for repairs to the front bumper. It is now 13 MAY 2026 and I still do not have my vehicle back from the Dulles Coachworks. I have been having to rent a vehicle for this entire time and they keep promising my vehicle will be ready week after week after week. I need assistance in getting my vehicle back as this is draining my bank account renting cars month after month. First they said the headlight was damaged in shipping from the manufacturer, then they said there was in imperfection in their painting of the bumper. read more

I would give -5 stars if that was an option... I guess that sums up my experience. They took 17 days to even provide an estimate, then insurance took 10 days to take a decision... and then the fun started.. Insurance deemed it a total loss, because as noted by several other reviewers, they are way too expensive. The kicker is they wanted to charge storage for every day ($150/day) that car was there, when either they or insurance was sitting on their tasks, AND THEY DID! They let go of one week out of 5 of storage fees (they lied they would submit the estimate "today", as they told me that on 2 consecutive Fridays). The funny thing is they were willing to reduce labor charges, 14 hours, just for providing an estimate!!!! So, between Insurance & myself, they got paid more $6,000, just to provide an estimate, $3000 of which I had to pay them out of my pocket else they wouldn't release the car to Insurance Co. I expected to pay maybe 20-30% out of pocket for going to them on dealer recommendation, but did not expect to pay $3,000 just for storage. I will make sure nobody in my friends and family gets caught in their web. Overall, go there if you have money to burn, have multiple cars that you don't "need" that car. This is my worst experience with a repair facility in last 25+ years of owning and driving vehicles in Canada & US. I have owned 9 cars, Hondas, Lexus, Porsche, Range Rover, and WOULD NOT RECOMMEND DULLES COACHWORKS to anyone for even a hotwheels repair! read more

I had a "whoopsie" pulling into my own garage - stupid! The staff at DCW were fantastic, from the first phone call to the drop off experience to the vehicle pickup. Constant updates, spectacular work, value for the price and dedication to quality made a bad experience (my stupidity) have the best possible outcome. The team was professional, personable and above all they know their craft! If you drive a car that needs body work, look NO FURTHER than Dulles Coach Works. I am taking the time to write this review to possibly save someone from dealing with one of the worst experiences you may go through with an auto body shop. I would NEVER and i mean NEVER recommend Dulles Coachworks to a soul, unless you are okay with zero sense of urgency in completing your vehicle repairs in a timely fashion. My car has been in the shop for 6 MONTHS, I repeat 6 MONTHS, and it's still there as of right now. The estimated repair time has been pushed back 4 times now. This has been THE WORST experience I have ever had with an auto body shop! To this day, they are unable to provide a definitive completion date. I dropped my Mercedes CLA 250 off for repairs after I was rear ended in November 2023. It is now May 31st 2024, and my car is STILL in the shop. It took over 3 weeks for a supplement to even be completed by Dulles Coachworks. After back and forth between Dulles Coachworks and the insurance company regarding the supplement, the repairs did not begin till January 2024. During that time, I was in communication with the receptionist, Kady who from the onset seemed eager to push the agenda that delays are normal. Nothing about this experience has been normal. She seemed clueless when providing updates and lacked customer service skills to reassure a client in this predicament. I often had to call in for updates, otherwise I was not receiving weekly updates from the shop. The manager Erick, took the lead on communication around this time. I was given an initial estimated completion date of March 2024. I was then told that this date was incorrect and the repairs would in fact be completed April 26, 2024. The Monday of that week, I called for an update regarding when I could pick up my car. I was then told by the manager Erick, that my car would not be ready till the end of May (another month) due to an incorrect part that was ordered and that the main technician working on my car was going on a recertification trip. To say I was at a LOSS FOR WORDS is an understatement. The fact that I was not provided an update regarding the delay UNTIL after I called is completely unprofessional and speaks to the type of business they are running. I have been without a car for 6 months and continue to be hugely inconvenienced. It should NOT take this long to fix rear end damage to a car and there seems to be ZERO urgency to get the repairs completed. Certified body shop or not, it should not take this long for repairs (see the images below for the damages to my vehicle when I was rear ended). It doesn't make any sense that again, a certified auto body shop cannot predict how long a repair job will take. What a joke! Today is May 31st. My car is STILL IN THE SHOP. I am now being told that it's going to take an additional 2 1/2 weeks. And even that is not definitive. Please immediately look elsewhere if you looking for an auto body shop. Save yourself the headache. My car has been in the shop for 6 months and I am still waiting. This is NOT a TRUSTWORTHY shop. Take my advice and take your car elsewhere. I would recommend going elsewhere. Just about every aspect of this business's operations are alarmingly substandard, as detailed below: 1. Poor Quality of Work: the most important aspect, so I list it first. One would think that because they are a "certified" repair shop (as reflected by their expensive rates) their quality of work would be good--unfortunately not. Quality of work was below average, with poor attention to detail, shoddy workmanship and subpar fit and finish. I had to take my vehicle back multiple times to have mistakes fixed. 2. Horrible Customer Service: communication was poor; most of the time, I had to call in to get key updates and information that they promised to "text" me about. Often times I would have to call multiple times to reach the one specific person who was knew what was going on with my vehicle (promises that "she will give you a call back today" were never kept). And they're not particularly friendly at that. 3. Inefficiency: they just take way too long. It took them five days to "get to" the vehicle and perform the estimate. Then several more days after I authorized work to actually start the work. Then several weeks to complete the work (and ultimately deliver poor quality product as detailed in #1 above). Estimates on price and estimates on completion time were way off. 4. Expensive: They're not cheap--hell they're not even average in terms of price. This would be forgivable if they delivered a high-quality result (again, refer to #1 above). read more

I was kept in the loop with every step in the process, so I was aware and informed on why it took the time it took to return my car to me. They even assisted in arranging a rental car for me. If you want the best possible quality of workmanship performed on your vehicle, just take a look at all the high-end, exotic vehicles at their shop awaiting repair as affirmation you'll get it at DCW. I took my BMW Dulles Coachworks in March of 2022 after an accident. I received terrific service with weekly updates and got my car back in fantastic condition. You can tell that Dulles Coachworks cares about the quality of repairs done. The drop-off process was seamless, as they have you schedule everything ahead of time, making it a no-brainer. They handled everything insurance-wise, other than occasionally having me reach out if they were waiting on the approval of anything.
