I first spoke with Levon on August 10th and informed him of exactly what I was looking for. Levon designed the exact system I was looking for and was available day and night to answer all of the questions we had regarding changes and updates to the system. Levon was extremely knowledgeable on the entire process and emailed us during every step of the process. Our system was installed on September 7th and would have been earlier if it wasn't for us delaying the project being out of town and not getting the documents back to Levon sooner. Overall even with the delays the system was installed less than 30 days after contacting Levon. The install was very smooth and the foreman for the install project explained the entire process that morning and what the next steps would be. Again everything that was explained was exactly how the process went to the very last detail. The solar inspection from the city was on September 16th and we received PTO on September 20th. Our system has been operating for almost two months now I don't have one complaint about except I wish I would've call Levon at Solar Shoppers from the beginning. If you are looking to get solar for your home I would definitely recommend getting a quote form Solar Shoppers. Of all the companies I spoke with no of them could beat Solar SHoppers price or timeline to complete the install.

Got the run around with sun solar when it came time to have the panels verified with the city. Had to have the city come out 3 times bc the guys couldn't answer simple questions about the system. Then, they left a hole in our garage wall. They didn't label our fuses on the panel either. We started this process in February and it's December and the battery still doesn't work because they are waiting on a part. No one calls us back and there is no ETA on the part but they let the lender know the job is done so we have to start paying on a loan when the system is incomplete. Go with another company, this one is a joke and completely unprofessional.

Sales personnel from Sun Power by Sun Solar told me I'd get a $500 Veteran discount in the form of a card/check and I have been asking for it for over a year and have yet to receive my measly $500 off of $68,000+ purchase. It's not really about the money but more about the principle. I've been told the check will be in the mail next week a few times. Failed inspections also causing delays. Work was done on my system and installers left without turning my system breakers back on for days. I had to call back to confirm if they were left off intentionally or accidentally. Installers showed up to work without any appointment or notification, luckily I was home that day on my day off. Company is lacking in attention to details, ethics, customer service, support, and satisfaction so far.

Even once you find a handful of companies with good ratings, if you have a smaller job/project, others can become unresponsive after initial requests and waste your time. But Sun Craftsmen were great. Their tech Luis came out almost same day, figured out a good solution and had a reasonable quote soon after. He was able to come out within days and complete the work efficiently without issue. Would definitely look to them again with any bigger projects in the future.

Avoid Eddie at all costs as he won't respond to you after you sign your agreement...Because of this, Management actually switched my contact person to Mason, and I am forever grateful for that. Mason is attentive and he was the best with responding to questions and concerns. And when I had concerns about delays in my project, I would email him and it would be fixed right away. The solar industry is one where many people have a lot of questions, uncertainty in effectiveness, and aren't sure if it's right for them. And people in general don't trust solar companies and sales people. It takes time to complete a solar project from contract to actually generating electricity for the home. For me, I decided to go with solar because the 30% tax credit was ending (and now that I actually see results, it's worth it even without the tax credit). However, since I was in a tight window to get everything completed before December 31st, I was very nervous as to if the project would be done on time. if it wasn't for my persistence, and for Mason's help, I don't think it would have been done Before December 31st and I would have been very upset and lost out on the tax credit. A lot of time passed by without hearing back. Then I was told the solar panels that I had agreed to are no longer available. They replaced them with cheaper options. Later on, they said the replacements were no longer available and switched them again to a cheaper option. I received an email on 10/28/25 saying the solar panels are ready for installation. Then I didn't receive an update until 12/10/25 asking for information that I had already confirmed via phone call, the clearance from solar panels as well as the panels being permitted. Then I received an email on 12/23/25 asking for this confirmation again. I sent a follow up, and did not hear back from Eddie until 12/27/25. He gave me a call and told me that Solar Optimum is unable to complete the installation by the end of the year, making me ineligible for the tax credit. He suggested claiming the system was installed/invoiced in my taxes, which is tax fraud as the tax credit makes it explicitly clear that it needs to be installed and powered by 12/31/25. On Dec 30th, he said he would update me within 2 weeks. 2 weeks elapsed and no update was given. At the end of my experience with Solar Optimum, I was took a loan that was no longer needed which ran my credit which has negative implications for my credit score. I also missed out on thousands in tax credit as well as future long term savings. There was misrepresentation regarding what the company had to offer and so far the company has not offered any option to rectify the situation. Will never do business with this company and strongly advise against using their services. The only option remaining is if they are able to discount the panels by the amount of tax credit I have missed out on, which will be my desired resolution requested.

Jorge knows what he's doing, you can tell he has a fundamental understanding of the trade and just knows how things work and can easily explain what he needs to do. I know that sounds like a basic thing you'd expect from any electrician, but this is just not the case and you can quickly tell that Jorge's knowledge is well above others. After fixing the existing issues from the previous electrician, I had Jorge upgrade my main panel to 200 amps. Another great job by Jorge, he did such a good job that the LADWP electricians that came out to connect the power to the pole said "the electrician did a great job and made our jobs easier". That's not an easy compliment to get, just speaks to Jorge's skill level. He is very trustworthy and I would recommend him to anyone. Every time I called Jorge after the project was done, he answered or called me back in a reasonable amount of time, he supports his customers after the project as well.
