I always utilize Maine Electric for any electrical needs however this time whoever called me was extremely rude and hung up on me when I attempted to explain what was going on. Maine electric installed some wiring in my back yard about 8 years ago. There was a problem with the wiring and they repaired it in 2019 apparently that was a temporary fix. When the electricity failed again I called them to possibly complete some repairs. I tried to explain what was going on and the nice lady might have thought that I was saying the issues were their fault. I don't care why it's not working and I'm not blaming it on the installation or the prior repairs I just wanted it fixed. She began to get loud and upset and told me that I was being difficult and not communicating. I again stated that I just wanted it repaired and that was the end. I asked what I have to do and she said she was hanging up on me and her boss might call me back. I attempted to call back three times and apologize for whatever happened and the phone just rang and rang. I'm just trying to get some repairs done. Lol read more

Been searching around for months for a good electrician to do a few jobs like installing wiring for 2 j-boxes for ceiling fans and wiring for coach lights in front of garage. The best and worth the money. They have great customer service. They typically try to repair the faulty component as they are inspecting it. All the other electric companies were a waste of time. The other companies never showed up whenever I made an appointment to fix the short circuit in my house, while charging a ridiculous price for inspecting "only." Like the other guys were not even going to try to repair unless they got more money off you. Maine Electric on the other hand arrived at the scheduled appointment time and fixed everything on the spot while they were inspecting everything and they got done within an hour. About a year and a half ago, I bought a house. The house is built in 1956 - so I can promise you that the electrical wiring isn't what you'd want or get today. So about two weeks ago, all the plugs in the bedroom I use as my office went dark. So then I went into my living room. All the outlets there were dead as well. So I decided to go to sleep. I like to watch YouTube videos to help with falling asleep. No power there either. Why? Honestly I had no idea. So I was incredibly excited when Richard from Maine Electric came the following day. Richard quickly figured out exactly what the problem was, and for the moment resolved it. So why did all my plugs go out? Because when I installed one of the outlets I apparently did not tighten the connector well enough, so a wire became disconnected. Though it was a stupid move on my part, it did give me an opportunity to learn something. I quickly realized that three rooms' outlets were on ONE CIRCUIT! Richard explained to me that it would not be difficult or terribly costly to add two new circuits. Because he is In such demand, it took me a little while to get him back to my home. Boy, the wait was ABSOLUTELY worth it. Richard was at my home today and when he left, after only a few short hours - I've now got TWO completely independent circuits which effectively gets the two rooms separated from the living room. I called Maine Electric a couple weeks ago because I wanted to replace our 3 florescent kitchen light fixtures with more modern LED fixtures [Side Note: My wife and I met Dean about a week before that at a restaurant in Palmdale and he was kind enough to interrupt his lunch and answer my electrical questions so of course I'm calling him]. They showed up on time and completed the work in less than an hour . . . SERIOUSLY! I was not expecting this but really appreciated the fact that they took the three old fixtures and the old florescent bulbs away so I wouldn't have to deal with them. Awesome customer service in my book. I'll be calling them soon for a couple of carriage lights on each side of the garage and a ceiling fan in the master bedroom. You can not go wrong with them. The insurance company AHS says they couldn't find anyone and left it up to us. Although they did not work with AHS with the kind and informative customer service we received over the phone we were willing to pay. We had Maine electric do some work at our house adding can lights into a family room and changing out our existing lights to new LED canned flush mounts throughout our house as well as adding an outdoor plug on our back patio and a switch for our string lights. They installed 5 ceiling fans for us, and they were able to do it in one day. Only one of the ceiling fans was replacing an existing light fixture, the other ones were wired in. They were very quick and cleaned up after they were done, so it was a really easy installation for us. read more

Installed two new outlets for a garbage disposal Richard was very nice. Did the work quickly. I highly recommend Maine Electric.

First time I called them and left a message, got no answer back for a day or two. So then I did the quote on yelp, and they got back to me in an hour or two... First guy who came over put in a ceiling fan, and a few gfci's without any problem. Owner wanted a second fan installed and an outlet put under the sink. This time 2 guys showed up, the first guy from the first time and a second guy. The first guy left after 20 minutes, and the second guy stayed. He installed the outlet under sink, but then came to me, and said he couldn't install the ceiling fan, (after cutting a hole in the ceiling) because the first guy didn't give him the right part to do it. So we had to reschedule him to come back and finish the same type of fan the first guy installed, the first day he came. When I went under the sink to check it out, I noticed he left a mess of his work with wood shavings from where he drilled. I also looked on the outside of the house, and this second repair guy drilled 2 holes in the side of the house, yet never mentioned this. I told the owner immediately, and he wasn't pleased, and said he wanted me to close up that hole where the second guy drilled. The worker who couldn't finish his work came back after being rescheduled, and I was asleep, but my girlfriend was awake and her door is literally 10 feet away from the front door, and connected to the same house. When I woke I had a message from catherine I think her name is telling me to call her. When I called her she said her worker knocked on all the doors, and he didn't come up here to do nothing and just drive back, and spoke to me with a tone that you would speak to your dogs with. I should also note every time I spoke to catherine prior it seemed like she was a little uptight, like she had a way of speaking that was somewhat harsh. My girlfriend also noticed this once when I had her on speaker. Im kind of patient with imbeciles, so I looked past it. Anyway, I said I was asleep and my roommate was awake, and all he had to do was knock on her door to come and finish his work. The owner called me and said he was going to reschedule. So I called her back and said he was going to reschedule, but I also mentioned to her (since I was already on the phone with her) that her worker left me a mess and drilled 2 holes in the side of the house. At this point she becomes a little upset at me, and starts barking at me, saying what I am saying to her is stupid, and justifying it with me being asleep and missing the repair guy, and "if it was such a big deal why am I calling them back to do more work?". Well catherine if you didn't have such an attitude with people who are paying you perhaps you would know that we never wanted him to come back, HE NEVER FINISHED HIS JOB, so we had no choice but to call and reschedule. But you wouldn't let me get in 2 words edgewise without barking at me and giving me your effed up attitude. Perhaps they don't pay you enough. I would imagine it would be a frustrating position answering phones all day and that being your main source of income. Naturally those who need to answer phones for a living would be prone to being upset with the people who call them. So the repair guy comes back the third time. I asked him if he knocked on my roommates door, or my bedroom window when he came the second time when I was asleep, and he said no, even though catherine said he knocked on all the doors..... He finishes putting in the ceiling fan, and apologizes for leaving me his mess, cleans it up, and said it was an accident that he drilled a second hole in the wall. This is the typical response a person who isn't mad at the world gives you. The type of response I would have thought a secretary for this company would give me, instead I was yelled at by her. The hole is still in the side of the house, and the owner wants me to patch it up. So I still have to go out of my way to fix something the repair guy created. Repair guy said he didn't have caulk, and when he was in the area again he would come back and patch it up..Sure.. Just based on the attitude I was given by this company and the fact the second repair guy couldn't finish his job, and then left a mess and a hole in the wall, I don't think I would ever have this company return here. I suppose catherine had the assumption that I was a measly tenant that makes no decisions regarding this property, which was perhaps the reason she chose to catch a tone with me. When in reality I am the one who told the owner to work with this company. Why do you think I called you and got the quote, and then had the owner pay, if the owner makes all the decisions? No you weirdo, I was the one who recommended you, I am the one who tells the owner who to work with, because I look out for his best interest, and he trusts me, and when some upset woman barks at me for telling her what one of her workers left for me you have lost all future business for this property, and any others I have influence over. read more

We are very picky, but can't complain: quality of job is great. Our 3 pendants were not easy to place the way we wanted, but guys listened and did it exactly we asked. Let me first by saying it is thoroughly refreshing to know some companies still do business the old fashioned way, the right way that is. Maine Electric is my new favorite company in the Antelope Valley. I had a project and needed an estimate. I had tried 2 weekend warrior electricians but they were always busy and didn't seem interested in the work. I then called 3 full time electrician's, Maine Electric included. Dean showed up at the prescribed time, of the 3 estimates Dean was the only one with a legit plan. His knowledge of how to get this project accomplished exemplified his professionalism. All 3 electricians came out to give me estimates, yet none except Maine was the only one to get back to me in a timely fashion. I received calls from the office manager Katrin advising the email with the estimate was going to be sent the next day. We agreed on the price, they put me on the calendar for the following week to fit in our schedule. The workers showed up promptly on the day of the job. The knocked out the work in 2 days, both days they were ready to start work at the prescribed time. The project was completed and exceeded my expectations as some modifications were made on the spot which resulted in a better finished look. We gained so much confidence in Maine Electric we asked them to come back out and trouble shoot some issues inside our house. Again they arrived at the coordinated time closer to the 1pm hour in the window of 1-3pm. David came in and quickly determined what needed to be done to fix the rats nest of wires in my house.
