We ALSO lost power in the Living Room, Staircase, Upstairs Loft, and OUR Master Bedroom (1/2 of it), Bathroom as well. Upon checking the breakers, I noticed there was NOTHING out of place or tripped, so I was puzzled. Going through Angi's List didn't help us much as the handyman there were a bit pricey. We contacted a family Real Estate member, and asked them if they knew of anyone that might be able to help us out. They stated that they did, passed along the business name and told us to call them as they had given them a notice we'd be calling. We called up Israelectric, and were able to get an Estimate for the power problem after the technician came over to inspect the possible cause(s). We received a very acceptable quote and decided to have them do the work. There were a couple of additional electrical type tasks needed as well. ALL of the work was done in a very timely, professional, quality manner. The technician was VERY helpful, explained everything needing to be done, and as they went along to keep us in the loop. They are VERY customer oriented / family outfit. They rechecked all the work done to make sure it was CORRECTLY functioning and SAFE. I would recommend EVERYONE to give this business a call. They are FAIR, very professional, take their time to do the job right #1. We are glad we found them, and had them do the work. We have found a VERY professional and affordable Electrician. He was very polite in our Yelp messaging, response time was quick and very easy to schedule. His quote was the most competitive of the group. He was on-time and is a very meticulous tradesman. He had great respect for his work environment by wearing disposable booties in the house (and taking them off when going outside) and he also spread out cloths while assembling our chandelier. He placed plastic sheets on the floor to catch any ceiling debris. While his ladder was unconventional for our 20ft ceilings, he has the balance AND strength of a Cirque du Soleil acrobat. Once our chandelier base was up, he took extra care to wipe down any visible smudges. What was truly admirable was his continued patience despite the long installation process. He did not rush us in the final design process of adjusting EACH of the 20 pendants on our chandelier and even went up/down from his ladder to look at the piece from multiple vantage points. Vahan is a skilled, dedicated, and patient tradesman that I would recommend in a heartbeat. I only hope that he has good life insurance considering the perilous heights of his work environments! Strong work ethic and they show up on time when they say they will. I was shocked how quickly their crew works, they finished what seemed to me like a pretty big job in only one day. What a pleasant surprise, because it's usually the other way around. And special bonus, they were very mindful about cutting my drywall carefully so I could re-use the cut-out sections. It saved me time and money when my handyman came to patch the walls. After Positively Electric finished the big jobs and my place, kitchen installers showed up at my place a few days later to install new cabinets. Turns out I needed to move an outlet a few inches for the cabinets to work. I called Tony, the owner of Positively Electric, asking him in desperation if they could come out within the hour. Yes! I was so relieved. Their speedy response allowed my move ahead with the kitchen install, instead of a costly rescheduling. I really appreciate the Pos Elec team, nice guys too. Jorge knows what he's doing, you can tell he has a fundamental understanding of the trade and just knows how things work and can easily explain what he needs to do. After fixing the existing issues from the previous electrician, I had Jorge upgrade my main panel to 200 amps. Another great job by Jorge, he did such a good job that the LADWP electricians that came out to connect the power to the pole said "the electrician did a great job and made our jobs easier". That's not an easy compliment to get, just speaks to Jorge's skill level. He is very trustworthy and I would recommend him to anyone. I've hired these guys a few times now. The last job I had them do was 4 years ago to run electrical…read morein my yard for a hot tub and at that time an above ground pool. They found some wire underground that they decided to tap into for the job and proceeded to run conduit along my wood fence (it was supposed to be along the house and NOT from underground) which was not what we had discussed as the plan for that job. I voiced my concern about how it was done and they came back out and did the job as it was originally planned to do. The whole time the job was being worked on, my windows were open and I could hear the apprentice complaining about having to dig and how the dirt was hard (I get manual labor isn't for everyone, be professional at least) but they "corrected" the work and that was the last I called on them. Fast forward a few years and we have more work being done in our yard only to discover the wire they ran underground to one of the outlets not only was bare once it was in soil (I was under the impression it was run with conduit underground), but also only buried about 4-5" deep in most places. Although Joe has always been nice when he has been here doing work, his staff comes off lazy and incompetent and the work they completed was a HUGE safety hazard we were unaware of. I don't think I'd ever hire these guys again.
