They tell you one thing and do something different the technicians sucks they are all rude never believe them

Equipment never worked properly and to get a technician out, there was $100 fee involved on top of the expensive monthly payment. One technician installed wires all around my front door and said this was the way it should've been done the wires were leading into a closet by the front door besides looking hideous it was not done properly. I had my personal contractor come out and look at it and he said oh my gosh, what a fire hazard. I just spent over an hour on the phone canceling. My Vivint contract cost me 190 dollars to finally get it finalized which was worth it to get away from them. I was paying $63 a month for SecurityI wasn't using. then they offered it to me for 29.99 a month. It's been nothing but a nightmare with this company. I don't know if they offer solar panels anymore, but that was another nightmare with them. I suggest to stay away from Vivint. read more

I logged on this morning because yet again my smoke detector went off at 2:30 am, and again nothing in the home to have caused this to happen. It is happening quite frequently. I do believe they have access to set these systems off when they choose. It is like, "the boy who cried wolf." I will never believe I have a fire after so many accidental alarms. read more

My Wife and I were with Vivint 11 1/2 years until June 2023 and we decided to cancel. My only regret with Vivint is not cancelling sooner. Much sooner. Trying to resolve even the smallest issue with them is a nightmare. I would give them 0 stars if I could. A total piece of fecal matter company. You practically have to sacrifice your firstborn to actually find someone who is articulate enough in English to understand what they are saying. However, you will likely never reach anyone in the United States unless you speak with loyalty or try to cancel your service. Unfortunately, as their reputation demonstrates these people are UNETHICAL. Vivint is still billing me monthly, even though I have signed documentation my account was cancelled. I can not recommend this company to anyone in good faith under any circumstances. Our experience has been a head ache the minute they closed the sale with us. Here is how everything happened: We found out about Vivint when we met up charismatic Vivint sales person in our driveway when I got home from work. I asked, how he knew we had just moved in there and he said they scout real estate apps like Zillow and Redfin and knew we just closed in on our home. We were in the market for a new security system so his timining was perfect and combined with his sales pitch we decided to go for it. The deal was aprox 5k in equipment plus monitoring services spread out in 5 years interest free financing. When we closed the installers came within 20 minutes and got to work right away and they were "done" in about 2 hours. Except they weren't really done, but we were already on the hook for 5years. One of the cameras was not working when they left. We texted the sales person but he said he couldn't get anyone out here for 4 days even though when we closed the sale they had someone out there in 20 mins. So we waited the 4 days and they finally came out to fix it. 3 weeks later that same camera is now down again. We called again but now they want us to get into our attic and troubleshoot ourselves even though were paying over 5k for incomplete malfunctioning equipment Which brings me to my next point. We were sold on on a bunch of equipment including a hard drive that we are paying for which we do not have yet. We were never told we would have this delivered over a month later. We are still waiting for it with no tracking number no sign in sight that we will ever recieve it yet we are being billed for the full experience. Next, we were recently also called by VIVINTS collection department stating that we are late on our 5k payment which is due immediately for the whole thing. We were perplexed because we signed a 5 year no interest financing contract which we were staring at while they called. They said they have no such terms our payments' due immediately or late fees would apply. Husband was on hold for 30 minutes with Vicint they said, ok well take care of it. Then they called again a week later to collect again, nothing was done and the 30 minute wait time was for nothing. So we said, what the heck figure it out, they stated they noticed some notes so they'd look into it. But we don't know whats going on with our billing to this day. So today we called again because we were looking at our footage and one of our cams is pointed right at our neighbors window, not really doing much for us and our home. We asked them to re position it and while they're at it to fix the cam that's been down since we bought the system they said it would be an extra $50. We have just about had it with Vivint, we have been really patient with them but to this day about a little over 30 days later, theyre billing us for the equipment in full, threatening late fees, we still have missing equipment ie, the hard drive yard sign and window stickers, one of 4 cameras are down and they have the odacity to ask for $50 more for fixing their own issues. Also, they only give you 3 days to cancel even though they don't give you all the equipment you pay for right away. So, how would you know in 3 days that you want to keep this service if you dont have the entire system. I whole heartedly regret this decision and would suggest to NEVER let a Vivint sales person in your home. They are what you want to protect your home from. read more

Been with them for 6 horrible years. System has been faulty 1 way or another and customer service is horrible. Service techs are cocky arrogant ass holes who don't actually fix the problem they simply reboot the system and as soon as they leave things break. This last time as of today my doorbell is officially dead and they can't replace because it's old but I have a life time warranty. So they don't any refurbished parts but they will only sell me new generation tech . Technically they are not honoring the life time warranty. Steer clear from these guys. I had canceled my service due to Covid and not working full time. When I called back to reconnect I was treated like I was garbage. Lie too everyday by numerous customer service, they told me everyday that I would receive a call back and that my services would be restored. Never happened. I have been with this company for over 5 years, and they have responded to a maximum of 3 calls during this time. And do not think you can get out the contract whenever you feel dissatisfied because to will frustrate you with the intention of continuing with them or to buy (upgrade) equipment and thus remain with them. Once again problems with Vivnt apparently my home hasn't been protected from my sensors for reasons unknown I walked into my home with monitor activated on away an alarm didn't sound off. The irritating thing is that Vivnt doesn't notify you on this. You have to find out on your own. Potential customers please be aware do not go with Vivnt the service is horrible they make you fix technical issues and refused to send a technician out meanwhile you're paying monthly. Also service on phone is horrible they said my wait time would be 17 minutes I waited for 52 minutes meanwhile every time saying I had four more minutes to go. I don't know how long my home hasn't been protected but anybody could break in and I wouldn't have known. So much for home security. I gave them one star but didn't even wanna give them that I had to give them a star just to post this issue I've been having with them. Please I've been dealing with Vivnt for some years now and I don't feel safe with there service. Please do not go with Vivnt their service is horrible. And terribly flawed.
